A lovely time for four friends to gather for a meal.
We enjoy this restaurant because it’s close, and everything about it is excellent. And as a non-drinker in terms of having a full glass of wine, I enjoy that I can get a just a taste of some thing whenever I’m there. Food was delicious and we appreciated having lunch portions available. Highly recommend, and the menu has lots of variation, so should appeal to pretty much everybody.
It’s really not that loud but the table behind us was. We heard a lot of their conversation and their use of explicit language. Not what you want to hear when your out to dinner with your family. As always, the food was delicious and great service.
Irving was a great server for our anniversary dinner. Highly recommend again!
fabulous food - great staff - friendly atmosphere- wonderful and helpful server.
thank you for a great evening
In the past we have found service to be slow during busy hours, probably due to staffing. The service for our last visit was excellent, thanks Deborah.
The appetizers are excellent. Their "Lux" series of wine is a good value.
Everything was good! Service was excellent
Wish we had time to do wine tasting but next time
We always enjoy our visits here! Tonight was pretty busy for a weeknight though. Our server was great, although super busy, & we both enjoyed our meals very much! Def will be back ..
During the pandemic particularly, the open space of the restaurant is a plus. The experience was excellent in all regards, and they have some really fine wines!!
The food was way too salty and otherwise tasteless. Very disappointing. The wine was good however.
First of all I have never experienced blatant colorism like I did yesterday. A lighter complexion friend of mine and I went here for dinner 1/15/22. I made the reservation. Upon entry, the hostess only acknowledged and greeted my light skinned friend, totally ignored my entire presence. This was the common theme throughout the night. It took forever to get menus and even longer to get our food. The manager came out and AGAIN only acknowledged and spoke to my lighter complexion friend. Our meal was comped but to add insult to injury, the damn waitress had the nerve to thank my lighter complexion friend for the “generous tip” as if I wasn’t even there. I will NEVER patronized this restaurant EVER again.
Great food and service.
Fantastic dinner. We had bar seating but it was comfortable and nice. Already planning our return.
It's a great spot for date night and wine lovers, I recommend it
Excellent, attentive service. Our waiter made us feel super comfortable and not rushed although it was a busy night. He made great wine recommendations. We enjoyed our food—salmon and a roast chicken risotto. Fresh food, reasonable prices for the area and quality.
My only complaint would be that it was a little loud and hard to hear each other, but that’s Friday at a bustling restaurant. Would definitely go again, and maybe plan a party there.
It was great experience from entering restaurant.
Food tasted awesome. It was little bit loud when entire tables was occupied. All staff was very courteous and clean.
As always my experience at Cooper’s Hawk was fabulous. We started with a wine tasting, moved to happy hour and finished with dessert. Cooper’s Hawk is definitely a favorite and I look forward to returning soon!
Really good food and even better customer service. This place is just a joy to be in.
I had heard a lot about this restaurant from a friend, and it didn’t disappoint. The interior is excellent, and the food was good. The waitress was kind and knew the menu well. I’d go again!
Favorite place for a quiet and relaxing meal on a Monday or Tuesday night. We all loved our food- scallops, chicken sandwich, salads. Rick provided pleasant and professional service. The highlight was the wine of the month- Rio de Oura (?) We all enjoyed it so much we wanted to buy bottles to take home. Unfortunately, there was no staff member around to buy from in the store area.
The food was good, the atmosphere was great, but my service did not measure up. It took several minutes to get menus, I never got refills on my water or soda, I had to ask for the waiter to clear our table of empty plates, and I never once felt my table was a priority for my waiter. The food is good and the restaurant is a great spot but for me I won’t go back to the Rockville location especially after the manager didn’t seem to care much about the poor service.
We have been many times. This time wasn’t great. We are in the restaurant business so we understand the issues right now. But it started with our server never told us they were items that the restaurant was out of so when we went to order our food two of the items we wanted were out. It took a very long time for us to get service. We never got any bread on our table which is fine but they told us they were bringing some. And lastly they really didn’t do a good job of cleaning or dishes so at the end of the meal we were drinking our coffee with Dirty Dishes on the table. The server was nice food was OK but overall not a relaxing meal. Might think twice about coming back.
Fantastic even though our waiter was fairly new. Our second time there and so far that have both been great experiences. We will be back.
We are winery club members and like to eat at Cooper's Hawk every couple of months to pick up the selections. It's always a treat. We usually go for lunch, but this was dinner. (Be sure to get a reservation – it is always busy.)
Our service was excellent - all the way. I almost always get flatbread - and last night was no exception. I got sausage flatbread (which is an appetizer) for my main meal and crispy brussel sprouts (also an appetizer) for my appetizer. They were both delightful. The brussel sprouts had an Asian flavor (with peanut sauce) and were perfectly prepared - cooked just the right amount - and yes, crispy. The flatbread was warm when served (which is not always the case there) and beautifully prepared. I took some of both home.
My partner had fish and chips (the fish was amazingly huge, but delicately prepared). Potatoes were good as well. The accompanying cole slaw was also Asian inspired, but neither of us found it appealing, especially with fish and chips - regular cole slaw would have pleased us more. But, as our waiter said, a lot of people like it prepared that way - and I'm sure that's true. Overall, it was a very nice meal, well prepared and well served. I highly recommend Cooper's Hawk for lunch or dinner anytime.
First and foremost, kudos to our server -- I wish I had learned her name -- but absolutely wonderful! A delicious birthday meal, super nice surroundings, generous but handcrafted servings -- with a special thank you for the treat at the end when the server learned it was my husband's birthday.
Overall nice time. Most people enjoyed their entree. I did not think the short rib risotto was that good. Wine was great.
Ate here with my husband on a quiet Tuesday night in January for our anniversary. The menu had a good range of options. The food was excellent and the matched wine was a perfect fit. Our server was engaging without being intrusive. The music was laidback and at an appropriate background level. Our booth was cosy (though decorated to look like the board in the 1980's gameshow Blockbusters!). My parents are visiting in April and I will definitely take them here. What was especially nice was the free glass of bubbly that came with our starters because we were celebrating. Cheers for a lovely night Cooper's.
Everything was great. I can’t wait to go back.
Cameron at the bar is an asset to this location. Excellent service and friendly to everyone
Great place, food was amazing, our waitress Ms. Patty was phenomenal.
We did the wine tasting before dinner. The sommelier was fantastic. Food was good, waitress was attentive and outstanding
The food and service was good.
The ambiance, service was amazing. The food was good as well, but with my preference on food it was a bit different from my usual go to. But overall i would recommend and bring others here.
My fiancee' and I went to Cooper's Hawk to celebrate the new year. Neither of us had ever been to Cooper's Hawk at all. I was pleasantly surprised by our experience. Our waitress was super nice and the musical selection was perfect. The restaurant ended up being out of what I'd originally ordered and the substitution was decent, but I think I would've preferred the tuna. We ended up being seated on the bar side in a booth and it was pretty quiet and not overpacked. In fact, there was hardly anyone on that side at all and we were able to hear ourselves talking and enjoying our meal. The pork chop my fiancee' ordered was a little overcooked and so was my skirt steak, but the flavor was present so I couldn't complain much. I'd definitely return to this location in the future.
Anniversary lunch. Food was great and the Chocolate Almond wine was delicious!
Our server, Debra, is amazing! She made our experience three-fold what it could have been.
