I have to say this mask thing has gotten out of hand. We had a nice dinner then stopped at the wine bar to pick up multiple bottles of wine. There were several people at the bar tasting wines with no masks. However since we weren’t drinking, We were forced to wear a mask surrounded by those without. I didn’t realize covid didn’t go after those who drink! Ridiculous!
Went here for my girlfriend’s birthday, and we had a wonderful meal!
Cooper's Hawk is one of our favorites in Reston ... Happy for the outside patio dining and heaters!!
As always, Cooper's Hawk provided an awesome experience. I was especially pleased since it was my sister's first visit. Chris was our server and was absolutely phenomenal. Thanks again for another great experience.
Outdoor seating is great. Service was very attentive.
Very enjoyable! I generally avoid franchise places with so many options in DC, but this was a pleasant surprise. They have great seating, well spaced out both indoor and out. Highly recommended.
Stayed toasty warm under the heaters while eating yummy food and drinking delicious wine!
the food was good and we loved the option for eating outside ;) Lilly was our waitress and she was excellent !! she was good natured with all my "high maintenance" brothers and very attentive ! Perfect evening :)
Everything was great! The good was great! The waiter was great! This was not my 1st time, so therefore I was even more thrilled coming back there for Thanksgiving dinner!
Jordan was the best! Love the wine decanter serving. Chicken Picatta, Jumbalya and Shrimp were the best
We’re regulars and members at Cooper’s Hawk and normally LOVE their food, but I’ll pass on turkey/Thanksgiving dinner in the future. It’s not my favorite meal but I was looking forward to it. However the dressing was 95% dry bread, hardly any onions or celery (dry!) and the mashed potatoes and gravy were not good. Yes I’m spoiled to great home cooking but I expected more from my Cooper’s Hawk. I should’ve ordered something else.
Great food, good service. Take my brother there every year for his birthday.
Unfortunately, at the minute my husband wasn’t able to be in-town for Thanksgiving. Despite my disappointment, my outdoor dining experience was wonderful. Lily W. took very good care of me from the moment she greeted at my table. The Napa Chicken salad, iced tea and Pinot Noir and chocolate cake made me happy. Thanks for making my Thanksgiving meal memorable!
We ate outside, and the noise level was minimal. I have eaten inside several times, and it is very loud. One of the reasons I picked this restaurant is it's outdoor dining space with heaters. Turned out the heaters were unnecessary as it was a beautiful almost 70-degree day. Had the scallops with brussels sprouts slaw, and they were probably the best scallops I've ever had. My dining companion had shrimp and scallops with risotto, which she said was excellent. All in all a real treat for Thanksgiving Day.
We were very well looked after for our Thanksgiving lunch. Excellent food as always, especially the turkey dinner (3 courses). Thank you to the Coopers Hawk team for accommodating our table of 5 and working the holiday.
Another great experience, we loved it. 3 of us tried something new and the entrees were amazing. The wine is always great; my daughter an wife both had wine flights and tried a variety. We have some new favorites and it was a great anniversary dinner.
Ate outside on a warmish evening. Heating banks were more than adequate—temperature was quite comfortable. Jambalaya was good; chicken madeira was also very nice.
Waiter was friendly, knowledgeable with the menu, and patient. Food was amazing, love this place
We finally made it to the area early enough to have dinner out. My husband found this gem and I agreed immediately(you had me at Brussels sprouts ;) ) this was the best dinner I’ve had in a long while. Cocktails were a nice start and the barrel wine was delicious. I opted for a variety of appetizers. The Brussels did not disappoint. The ahi sashimi was fresh, with variable texture components added for excellent mouthfeel, just spicy enough to pace your enjoyment. Getting my vegetable allotment is important to me so I had a side of broccolini and a wedge salad for some unctuous delight. My husband had a cup of the seafood bisque and jambalaya. He shared in all my adventure, so don’t worry we had room for the salted caramel creme brûlée. Service was exemplary. The atmosphere was energetic but not overly loud, so we could talk. Could not recommend more.
Be sure to make a reservation via Open Table. There isn't much room for walk-ins in the bar area.
Consistently good. Good food, good service and the wine is always great!
Great meal! Look forward to our next visit! AA++
Fantastic atmosphere, the servers are so friendly and the food is delicious!!
Good food, service and nice atmosphere. Too much emphasis on wine which is fine but I prefer beer :-)
My experience was wonderful. The outdoor seating was the best. Nice cedar lamps, and heat coming from the ceilings. Food is always excellent, service was excellent as well. I absolutely love coopers hawk
There was a slight mix-up (totally on me). The staff was more than accommodating. Our server was phenomenal. They practiced an almost extreme level of social distancing, which was great! The food and wine were both fantastic! I drove from DC and it was well worth the ride. I will absolutely be back.
Birthday celebration for my husband. Excellent service, and the food was exceptional.
Best food and great wine. Something for everyone.
Server Alyssa was great!
Mid November, gorgeous evening, sat outside near heat lamps and it was perfect!!
After we were seated, it took at least 15 minutes before we had a waiter. The food was excellent.
I have been very disappointed with this restaurant lately. Their service has drastically deteriorated since Covid. I understand that the pandemic has changed things for restaurants, but CH does not seem to care at all about their customers. The past few months that I have gone, there has been at least one major issue every time. There has still never been any attempt to rectify the mistakes of the restaurant, even after speaking with a manager. It often takes over 30 minutes just to retrieve a bottle of wine for the table, and then we are scooted out of our table after 90 minutes regardless of waiting for wine. Other times, they have messed up my reservation and I have been forced to move the reservation to a time when not everyone could attend. These are just a few of the major issues I have encountered in the last few months. I would not at all recommend Cooper's Hawk until they get their service together. I am considering cancelling my wine club membership.
We had a very good experience this time. The food has always been delicious, but we have had service problems in the past - not this time. She was great.
