My wife and I made reservations for our anniversary. We were seated and that's when things turned bad. We waited for our server to come and it took about 10 minutes. He said that he would bring bread to the table after he put in our drink order. We received our drinks and noticed that other tables that were seated after us had received their bread as we waited. My wife has some food allergies and the waiter noted it. My wife said if what she ordered could not be prepared to address these allergies she gave an alternate selection. We ordered appetizers and ordered a second drink at which we found out was not made correctly the first time and was given an excuse that bartenders sometimes do this which is unacceptable. My wife received hers and after about 10 minutes later our meals came. I received what I had ordered and my wife received her alternate selection. The waiter never came back and said that her first choice could not be prepared the way she could eat it but just received the alternate choice. I asked the server who happened to be a Floor Manager that brought our meals about my appetizers. She said that maybe the waiter did not get in because it happens sometimes which is unacceptable. The meals seemed to be precooked and not fresh and almost uneatable. I was not very happy with the quality of service or the quality of the food. I was not compensated for my appetizer or the drink being made wrong. I will not return or recommend this establishment to anyone.

I've never had bad food or bad service at Cooper's Hawk! LOVE to go there with friends! First time in a booth with the lower ceiling overhead and was able to hear much better! Can't wait to go back!

The server had too many people and was distracted. They served our main entree and did not notice that my boss did not even have a fork. We could not get anyone’s attention for 10 minutes! Also we had to wait for 30 minutes for a refill on drinks. Very disappointing for such a fine restaurant:(

The wine was tasting went well. For dinner Service was poor, slow, lacK of checking in. When food finally came out it was not hot but we waited so long for it that we needed to just eat.

I"ve been to this restaurant on several occasions. This will be the last time I dine there. Upon entering the restaurant, we approached the hostess stand, to be ignored by a gentlemen who was more concerned with being on his phone, then greeting a customer. I waited a few minutes, and then decided to clear my throat. He looked up, clearly annoyed that I disturbed his texting session. I told him I had a reservation for 4 and he then began to argue with the other host about where to seat us. A few more awkward minutes pass and the other hostess finally brings us to a table. We sit and wait about 10 minutes before we are greeted by the server. We ordered a bottle of wine and 1 beer. We received the wine fairly quickly, but after 20 minutes, no beer. We asked the server who said that the bartender was alone and was going slow. It's not like he had to make a cocktail, he had to pour a beer. It was pretty obvious the server just forgot and then when we inquired, she put in the order. Our food finally arrived. It was decent, but nothing remarkable. I didn't finish my meal and asked for a box. The server insisted that she would box my leftovers up for me. Well, that was the last time I saw my food. She never returned with the box of leftovers and when I inquired, she didn't seem to remember where she put it. At that point, I didn't even want my food because who knows where it had been or what could've been done to it. So I only got to enjoy half my meal since she lost the other half. Now on to dessert. We were celebrating my father's birthday and he wanted dessert. We ordered 2 cups of coffee and 1 key lime pie. The coffee came quickly. The entire cup o coffee was done and still no dessert. 20 minutes later, she finally brings dessert with no acknowledgement of how long it took or no offer of refilling the coffee that had already been finished waiting. At that point we asked for the check. The service has a lot to be desired and the food is nothing remarkable. I definitely

Great evening. The waiter was good but just seemed tired - our food was served and everyone had cutlery except me and then I couldn’t find a waiter anywhere. The wine was great and so was the food.

Truly an amazing experience! Our server for the night was Paris, he made us feel at home while celebrating a surprise bridal shower for one of our friends. Wine kept coming, food was excellent, as always! Choose CHW&R as your next place for a nice evening with friends or just your love. ❤️

I love this restaurant, but find that they don't have enough wait staff for busy times. The place was packed for lunch. While we were seated right away, and someone brought waters, we waited at least 15-20 minutes, then just flagged down one of the servers (not our original one). He was gracious and apologetic, and took our orders. He did check on us throughout the meal.

Both the food quality and service were excellent. The server was attentive and pleasant demeanor. The pork, side salad and mashed potatoes were fresh and ample quantity. Will definitely go back. Price value is very fair

This was our first visit at the Reston location. While the food was decent, my main complaint about this location is the service. The hostess was not friendly (in fact she seemed irritated with us) and our waiter got our order wrong and blamed us. I also ordered the wine pairing with my meal, which is listed beside each dish as a "BIN #." When I ordered the pairing with my dish by that number, the waiter responded, "We don't know the BIN numbers." So I looked it up and told him what it was, but I found that to be a little odd. He could've just written down the number, looked it up, and kept that comment to himself. Since the staff made this visit unpleasant, we do not plan on returning to the Reston location. We'd much rather go to the Ashburn location since the service there is much more professional and the staff is very friendly.

Food is always outstanding at Cooper's Hawk. What made this particular visit so outstanding was our waitress. She was so personable, informative, and attentive. She was the BEST waitress we have had at any restaurant in many years and we eat out a lot.

The wine tasting was a great way to start the evening. Great wine selection and both meals we got (short rib gnocchi and grouper) were delicious! Very excited to be a new member of the wine club and looking forward to many more fun nights ahead of us.

Yes, I would recommend but you have to get your food to the table HOT! Thus is the second time I've come to this restaurant and the second time that at least one of the dishes which is supposed to be hot is not. This time it was the lunch time spaghetti and meatballs. It was not even luke warm. I think your food to table delivery process needs to be evaluated and changed. The food was brought by another waiter other than the waiter that waited on our tables. That's fine but one dish was cold while two were piping hot. Maybe the kitchen isn't aware that all three dishes need to arrive at the same time and be hot.

As the only patrons, music was too loud for a quite lunch. We did ask to turn the music down, but the waiter but he didn't think he would be successful.... We offered our Cooper's Hawk award point number; however, waiter did not advise us we had accumulated award points ($s) for lunch which were expiring in days. We were also charged the full price for a the meal in lieu of the luncheon price...the waiter did however amend the charge after we identified the discrepancy. When we went to pick up our Wine Club bottles, we were advised kindly by Carson of our expiring points ($s). Carson quickly contacted the manager and the manager readjusted our lunch expenses so we didn't lose any award $s. KUDOs to Carson and the manager. Still trying to find out why we were charged an 8$ upcharge for our wine club---to be continued and never offered the new Origins brand for the Oct special.

We’ve discovered a late lunch (after the regular lunch crowd leaves) is a great time to visit, have a leisurely meal with a bottle of wine, and catch up. The blue cheese steak salad is amazing!

Girls get together for a birthday. We had a wine tasting with Bria and got excellent service. The tastings are reasonably priced and generous. We ate in the dinning room. Had a bottle of the wine of the month. A great recommendation from our server, Jordan. Food and atmosphere were comparable to other local restaurants. The service and wines put them over the top. Thank you, Coopers, Jordan, and Bria.

Server rarely returned to our table. Forgot our appetizers. It took 40 min in between each stop at our table. We had to start asking other servers to find her or help us. Barely had water refilled.

We decided to have our anniversary dinner here this year and it did not disappoint! Staff are beyond excellent! They’re fun and knowledgeable about their product. We were given a complimentary roasting drink for our anniversary. What a surprise!

We did a wine tasting prior to dinner and, although it wasn’t as intimate as other wine tastings we’ve done, it was excellent. Their wines are fantastic and their wine club is an excellent deal. We highly recommend (the wine club and just generally being there!). If you’re looking for a one-on-one guided wine tasting, this not for you. BUT if you’re looking for delicious, memorable wines and a fun, energetic atmosphere then this IS for you. Regardless if you’re sitting down to eat or not, you definitely want to check Cooper’s Hawk out! We’ll be back soon!

Food was fantastic, as usual. Had a table for two at the end of the dining room next to kitchen with very high traffic. Server didn’t look for any discounts or credits for being club members. Charged full price for a bottle of wine for carry out.

Been here twice because food was good and wanted to give it a second chance but just cannot recommend. Both times servers were pleasant but ineffective. Sit down order iced tea and cocktails. Ice tea arrives quickly but we don't see cocktails until after apps arrive, and only after reminding waiter. Never refills water and tea or offers to get us another around of cocktails. We wanted to have a few cocktails but stopped at one since it was obviously going to be very slow. Bread and butter also arrives after apps. Waiter tries to take away plates that are half full while we are talking, reached out to grab them before asking. One entree we order is completely wrong, but at this point we don't bother to bring it up. Another we asked for medium and get well done. We really wanted to like this place, the menu is diverse and the wine is good, but spending that kind of money to be 2 for 2 on bad service, we just cant justify going back.

another great evening at Cooper's Hawk! Great waiter and overall service and food remains consistently very good. We ate on patio and enjoyed the change from dining room, much quieter.
