Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant - Reston
Food was subpar, very greasy and not well flavored. Felt like 1980 food not 2020.
Service was excellent though. That was the highlight.
If you are a real wine drinker this wine is also very sub par.
Great food...lots of options.
Cooper's Hawk has become my favorite restaurant! Started as a wine club member and then discovered the great food! Definitely a fan!
Our visit to Cooper's Hawk was very nice. It was the first time for my sister and mother and we all really enjoyed it. Every single dish we ordered was simply delicious. Our server was great too!
We will be back for sure. :)
Service is very slow. Tracking down waiters throughout the meal. No follow up on food, once delivered. This is not the first time my friends and I have experienced this level of service.
Our waiter was great! I have food intolerances and our waiter was willing to work with the chef to help me find something new to try. So special thanks to him and the chef! It is really hard for me to find a place that can make a delicious meal for me despite my food intolerances. We enjoy being members of the wine club. My dining companions have no food issues, so they always enjoy something new along with some old favorites! CH is a quick trip from the house, so that's another huge plus too.
As usual our lunch was great. Our server, Cindy, was wonderful. I think she was the best we ever had at Coopers Hawk in Reston.
Last time we were at the Coopers Hawk restaurant in Ashburn we were very disappointed. When our friends suggested the Coopers Hawk in Reston we grudgingly agreed. We were very pleasantly surprised! The food was delicious! Will definitely come back to this location and we might even try the Ashburn location again!
Dirty tables. Too few wait staff. Frozen mac & cheese. What terrible song experience.
Servir was bit slower ya usual even though the place seemed not that full however the manager Irina made her best to accommodate us so overall we will still keep visiting this establishment.
We love this restaurant. The round tables for a larger party are wonderful for conversation. The ambiance, the food and service all make for a lovely experience.
Most of our orders were wrong but did get fixed after sending back. Service was very nice, but he was stretched thin. Place was REALLY loud!
Food and wine were excellent as usual.
The gnocchi were a little dense, but the other dishes my party had (shrimp pasta, filet, Brussels sprouts) and the wine were all delicious!
Our party of 10 was well served by waiter Daniel. Many enjoyed wine samples, we were not rushed and food arrived in timely manner. Two of the 8 entrees were disappointing, but the others were outstanding. One fish sandwich had 6 times more bread than the two measley pieces of fish. One tuna entree was not cooked to liking. Overall a very fun evening and we would return.
Had Mexican Shrimp, Brussel Sprouts, Seafood Jambalaya, Maui Shrimp.. all really delicious!
We're there every week ... as usual, it never disappoints!!
Excellent Thanksgiving dinner!
I was pleased to find this restaurant open on Thursday. I ordered the thanksgiving meal. It was very good.
An awesome Thanksgiving dinner with staff who treated us as guests in their home. Nate and Shane were wonderful.
The first positive was the menu for Thanksgiving was not truncated. Instead, they included Thanksgiving staples, as well as an additional dish that was just perfect for this pescatarian. It was a divine ravioli consisting of various types of shellfish and it was excellent. Despite the place being packed, the service was outstanding, the servers were cheerful and attentive, and the wine was excellent.
It was less crowded than I expected on Thanksgiving. The good was great! I appreciated that the whole menu was available. The brussel sprouts were AMAZING!
We went here on Thanksgiving and had a wonderful time. Our server Gwen was fantastic given how busy they were. We all ordered the prix fixe Thanksgiving menu. Portions were perfectly sized...not too much and not too little. This is the second time we have spent Thankgiving here and will likely do it again next year. One other reason we come here is that my daughter has Celiac disease (gluten intolerance) and Coopers Hawk is very allergen aware and sensitive to the needs of people with these conditions.
Just wonderful coming in from out of town to land at this lovely restaurant with fabulous staff & quite the menu. Pretty relaxed even though it was increasingly busy for the Holiday!
We went for the Thanksgiving meal. The food was delicious and plentiful. The staff was friendly and our waiter was very attentive. I look forward to going back for another great experience.
Matt was very gracious in hamdling our daughters birthday.
Great birthday dinner for my 21 year old son!
Great service and food!
This was one of the best steak dinners i've had in a while. the wine selection was amazing. would definitely come back, and I live in NYC.
People that dine there sometimes get too loud. Your wine bottles are getting too expensive.
Out experiences at this location keep declining. Our server, Gwendolyn I believe, was not happy, never responded to a “thank you”, had to be asked multiple times for things and just made our dining experience less than it should have been. My friend ordered a burger that looked like it had been burned and said it wasn’t good but didn’t want to deal with our server to send it back. She also seemed irritated when I had her look up my club membership. For the money spent, it should have been a more pleasant dining experience in my opinion.
Birthday gathering..lovely atmosphere for a family meal. Enjoyed wine tasting before dinner and was seated right away. Plenty of food options and everything was fresh. I will be back again.
Food was late and medium rare steak was burnt and well done. Service was poor and waiter not around much. We had to ask for many things that should have been automatic. We were double charged for an entree then charged for the wrong table after correction. Now waiting for a refund for a few days on top of the second charge on the credit card. Dessert took way to long to arrive.
The food, selection, wine and service were great! One of our diners got the wrong dinner, but he accepted the meal and the restaurant took it off his bill. He did enjoy the wrong meal.
This was a drizzling night and the floors in the restaurant were so slippery it was dangerous ruining everything in this visit
We went to Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant on 11/22/2019, and I most likely will not be returning until this location becomes more established. We arrived at the restaurant right at 7:30 pm for our 7:30 pm reservation. Initially, we were told that we would have to wait as they were running behind. At 8:00 pm I went back up to the hostess station and asked how much longer it would be until we were seated. One of the hostesses informed me that they had texted me telling me that my table was ready some time ago. I corrected her because I received no such message. Then she proceeded to tell me that she had not texted me. I am not sure how much longer they were going to have me wait in order to get a table. This was unacceptable. In addition, I had marked that we were celebrating a birthday that evening when I made the reservation, and neither the hostesses nor the server asked or even mentioned anything about it. Very disappointing. Once we were seated, the dismal service continued. Our waiter forgot our soda. And then, he seemed to walk by our table quite a bit but didn't actually interact with us to see if we needed anything (e.g. a refill). After we were finished with our dessert, it took our waiter at least 10 trips past our table and 15 minutes to ask if we needed anything else, and I had to request the check because I wasn't sure when he would acknowledge us again. Again, very disappointing.
The staff is amazing! Alyssa has waited on us the past few times we’ve been there and she is the best waitress! So accommodating and friendly! I will be asking for her every time I return. The food is always fantastic and their wine is delicious! I would recommend this place to anyone!
Food is delicious and their Petite Syrah really shines. The wait staff is delightful and so kind and friendly. The restaurant is so loud, though, and crowded, that it’s impossible to hear the person across from you speak. That part is the only disappointment.
My new favorite place. Great service, food, and wine!
