Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant - Reston
Wesley was amazing
Needed refills sooner than waiter came by. But overall great experience and great food
Food was great from the appetizer to desert. All of the server were professional and knowledgeable. Great experience and will definitely be returning.
Good food and service but very noisy
Would have been 5 stars but the noise level on Friday nights is unreal.
I was disappointed in the crowded dining room and the noise level. I would not recomend to people.who might actually want to have a conversation during dinner.
Alan was an exceptional server. He was very friendly, courteous and attentive. Alan anticipated what you needed even before you knew it. There was also a tremendous team effort from the entire staff. Alan’s stellar customer service attitude along with delicious food made for an outstanding dining experience. We will definitely ask for Alan again!!
Dinner and wine was, as usual, delicious. Jordan, our server, is friendly, knowledgeable and sharp. We always hope to be seated in his section.
Great wine, nice place but expensive for what it is. I put in our reservation that two people in our party were celebrating birthdays, told the hostess once again when we arrived; nothing was done by our server and no one followed up with him. Not a huge deal, but for as much as we spent we expected more.
First time at the Reston location, but Cooper's Hawk never fails to impress!
Service was excellent, food was quite good, only complaint - the portion servings are excessively large.
It has become my favorite Reston restaurant.
My husband and I love coming here and use any excuse we can to eat here. It's always a nice time to eat some yummy food and drink some amazing wine. The ambiance is also perfect for a casual meal or a birthday celebration dinner!
We love coming here for dinner. Great food. Would recommend highly
We were not sure what was the worst part of our dinner. The restaurant is noisy and pretentious (e.g., its approach to hawking its house brand and mediocre wine). The service abysmal- we had to ask our waiter to bring our wine, the appetizer plates were not cleared (leaving no room when the staff brought our entrees), we waited over an hour for our food. The food, at best, was unexceptional - no one in our party of four enjoyed their meal. As an example, my filet mignon - one of the most expensive items on the menu - was dry and I had the taste of tenderizer in my mouth for the rest of the evening. Although I ordered it medium rare, it arrived well-done; I thought about sending it back but the rest of my party had their food - and we had already waited an hour. And the price point, in terms of value, was ridiculous.
All in all, an utter disaster. We won’t be back.
Great food and energy!
Another excellent experience at Cooper’s Hawk. We were a party of six celebrating my daughter’s birthday. JORDAN was amazing in attending to all details; including the cake and candles. He didn’t miss a beat when it came to our orders - wine, appetizers, entrees - on a very busy Saturday evening. We can’t thank him enough for helping to make it an enjoyable evening. We’ll be back again soon!
Very busy Saturday evening. Kitchen was not able to keep up. Food came out cold or dry from sitting under heating lamp. Server and Manager very gracious about delay. Still would go back, but maybe on a different night when not as busy.
Has a very nice selection of Wines....They even have "Ice Wines" (My Favorite) Nice atmosphere, not too loud. Good variety of food on the menu. Nice place to take that special someone. I was nicely impressed.
When I arrived I was sitting outside. It took a long while before a service person came over. I actually had to get his attn from the table beside me after I had been there for 15 minutes or more. He was attentive after that.
Three adults and 2 children aged 7 & 9. We all enjoyed our dinners. Our server, Max, was helpful with the menu as well as wine choices. He was attentive without being obtrusive and added to our position dining experience. Fun atmosphere and good food!
This was our first time at the restaurant and we couldn’t be happier. Our server, Courtney, was outstanding, super outgoing, and suggested some of the best food I’ve ever had. Keep up the great work and we’ll be visiting more often!
A very disappointing experience. My burger was over cooked and so salty it was barely edible. My husbands pasta was good but wasn’t even served with a bread of any sort. The waiter was marginally polite and was overly abrupt when my husband asked for a refill on his wine before his first glass was empty. We won’t be returning.
Friend received wrong food; yet was not comped for it. She didn’t want to make a fuss, but I thought she should not have been charged for it. Noise level almost intolerable!
Great food and service. Floor was really slippery for my shoes, but other than that, I had no complaints.
Amazing food as always, sort of loud because it was packed. Still one of our favorite places!
The food and service was wonderful as always!
Great variety of wines, excellent service, and comfortable and classy ambience in the middle of Reston. Nice!
We were here to celebrate a birthday- which was put in the open table reservation. The staff did not acknowledge it was for a birthday which was disappointing. The food and wine was delicious- their happy hour is a great deal. But the service was very slow. It took awhile to get a drink but the food came out quickly.
Extremely understaffed and confused employees. Our host walked us around the restaurant looking for our table because our table for 7 was not yet bused. We had to return to the host stand and wait.
The calamari was recommended. It should be removed from the menu. It’s overly breaded to the point if being a funnel cake and it has a sweet honey type drizzle that makes it a freak show instead of calamari.
The flank steak was over cooked on three of our meals.
We had to retrieve napkins and silverware from adjacent tables because our server kept returning to the table empty handed.
Great design, horrible food and horrible execution.
Service was poor which was unusual for this place. Our waitress was training another at the time. Refills on drinks weren’t offered. Food was very good. A shrimp and pasta special was probably the best entree I’ve ever had there, and we eat there a lot!
This was my second time at Cooper's hawk, but the first to Reston. The food was fantastic and you can't beat the wine experience. The pairings were sensational and a great value. Even though I'm not local to one, I'm contemplating on joining the club and putting this into my regular cadence for business dinners.
Always a pleasant dining experience...food and ambiance are always exceptional!
Great location, excellent wine selection!
Our waiter Jonathan was excellent. The soy ginger salmon dish was amazing.
Wine selection was nice. Food wasn't as good as I expected.
Celebrated my daughter's birthday and had a great time. Service and food were excellent, as always.
Wonderful food and service. When calling for a reservation, tho, we were told that they could not accommodate 4 people at our requested time. So the two of us decided to leave others at home and enjoy the experience together. When we arrived we were seated at a table for four with many other open tables around us. It just seemed odd even knowing that it could have been a way to stagger the kitchen a bit. But with so many tables open and room at our own, neither us or the pleasant waiter could figure out why we couldn't include our full original party especially when upon leaving the whole restaurant was full at all tables. They obviously can handle a full house later into service so why not two more people earlier in service?
Terrible experience. Too loud to enjoy the meal or hold a conversation. Rude people.
Griffin was a superb waiter. He was extremely attentive.
