We were seated in the PDR and it was VERY cold. I asked that they make it warmer and I was told by the server that it wasn't really cold, that it was just drafty. No. It was cold.
Food was ok. The server, Ian, was not very professional. He was very loud at the table and seemed annoyed most of our visit. Additionally, he just never seemed on pace with our service cues; when to take our order, refill beverages, clear, drop the check, etc.
This was our first visit to the restaurant and we were impressed with the variety offered in wine and the food. We were more impressed with the quality of the dishes from the appetizers to the entrees and on to dessert. Everything was delicious and the service was very attentive. My wife and I definitely will be back.
We were a party of 3, first people in dining room. Waitress not very attuned to customers needs, slow taking orders , we waited 15 minutes for the bread to be brought to the table and 45 minutes for a simple order of Chopped Salad, a burger and a fish sandwich. Waitress returned to ask is everything ok when we had no food served yet. Salad didn’t fill a small bowl, burger ok, fish sandwich had about a drop of siracha mayo and not even a full slice of avocado. Management did give us coupons for a free dinner and was very apologetic, so I am willing to return and try them again. Management very customer service oriented and took full responsibility.
We brought a group of 8 to Coopershawk for their first time. Our meal was good but not as good as typical. The salmon special was over cooked for all three of us that ordered it. Two steak dishes were tough. Appetizers and short ribs were spot on. While we will return due to prior great meals there, some of our guests were not overly impressed.

Good food at reasonable prices and very friendly and efficient service.
Very nice the restaurant let my friends bring in flowers and a birthday cake. Even though we couldn’t eat the cake there just letting us do the candles was very sweet.

This was our second visit to your restaurant. The first last spring for lunch while visiting our son who lives in Reston. Traveled an hour and forty-five minutes from McSherrystown Pa. for an awesome dinner and weekend in Virginia on 2/15/19.
Never disappoints (only maybe once). Enjoy the whole concept - the bar, the wine tasting, the tables. Happy hour is outstanding !
Always a great time when we come here. I haven't ordered anything that I've been dissatisfied with and the service is always amazing.
Usually food there very good but on Valentine’s Day brussels sprouts (that usually are very good) was big disappointment - soggy and very greasy 😏😒
My family and I visited this location for Valentine’s Day! Everything was amazing, I really enjoyed the wine and food, the services was wonderful as well.
We had an absolutely fabulous dinner on Valentine's Day. The food was amazing! If you like Calamari you absolutely must try their Calamari appetizer. We thought it was easily the best we've ever had. Different, but delicious and plentiful. The service was outstanding, friendly and not rushed but attentive. We will absolutely be back.
Once again Cooper Hawk didn't disappoint especially on a special occasion. Excellent.
We have been to Cooper's Hawk several times before. The service is always good, but was especially enjoyable on this visit. The food, however, was not as good. We both got the the Valentine's special filet and lobster. Both were flavorful but the lobster was undercooked (translucent) and the filet was uncharacteristically tough. The experience was good and this won't deter us from going back, but the food was not their best.
First time eating there, the restaurant was beautiful lots of wine options. When the server approached us he was very polite he asked if we are first timers, we had told him yes. He didn’t bother telling us things about the restaurant like there’s a shop we were tasting serval wines and then he took the wine list when we ordered our food. Overall it was great.
The wine is good, the service is ok, and the food is always disappointing. Stick to the wine tastings.
We had a delicious lunch - our server was attentive but not pushy and he graciously let us enjoy a lovely time together!
Valentines
Fantastic service. Better steak, lobster, lobster bisque, and French onion soup than what we had at Ruth's Chris steak house one week earlier. Strongly recommending to all my friends. We have found a new best place to dine.

Service was very slow. Server also lost (or gave to someone else) my wine club card. My meal-size salad was extremely small and ingredients listed on menu were hard to find or taste. It was also hard to find a parking space. Would not recommend.
Celebrating
I have now tried this place 3 times. I really wanted to like it. Too much (everything). The menu is too long (If they would do a limited number of things really well and it would be better). The servers are inconsistent (mostly good, but recent visit - not so much). It is noisy. Food is just OK. I can see where happy hour crowd would like it, but for a nice meal, there are a lot better options elsewhere.
Great overall experience. Food was good. Wine was great. We’ll be back.
Customer service was excellent and the food has big portions
The food was excellent as usual. Love the two appetizers we had - chicken pot stickers and crab beignets. I also tried the vegetable burger which is something I usually never have and was so glad I did. It was delicious as was the quinoa side dish.
I don’t normally write a review, I just submit the stars. But our server Wes deserves a special shout-out. One of my friends I was dining with is a quadriplegic, and also has difficulty speaking. I’ve dined out with her before, and though I’m sure the servers were well-meaning, they defer to her husband and largely ignore her. Wes was such a gentleman, AND a top-notch server. He gave every menu to her, directed his speech about specials to her as well as the other guests, and set all her food in front of her. She was splitting her dinner with her husband—most servers would’ve given the dinner to her husband knowing he would have to feed my friend. Not Wes. He had the kitchen split the food to two plates and set hers in front of her. I’m accustomed to outstanding service at Cooper’s Hawk, but this goes above and beyond. Thank you Wes, for treating my friend with respect and kindness, as another human being.

We were seated in a timely manner according to our reservation. Our server was very knowledgeable and attentive. The food and wine were delicious! My new favorite restaurant!!
Great experience across the board! Jonathan was great and the food was wonderful. Celebrated an early Valentines Day. We will be back!
