Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant - Oak Park
It was my four time there and I did not know what to expect. It was really good, but the minute was kind of limited.
we always enjoy our experience at cooper's hawk. my concern this time was i used open table for reservations and commented it was my wife's 71st birthday! i ,again, at the receptionist, mentioned it and he thanked me saying they were not notified!! when our bill was brought to the table, i mentioned it again 'in front of my wife', and once again i was told she was not notified and thanked me!!
this i do not understand. it may seem minor to some, but it was very important to me...

Delicious food and a really nice experience. I love their wine!
The server Alyssa was awesome. The manager was visible. He was walking around asking customers how was there and if everything was alright. That shows the restaurant cares about there patrons.
My food was hot hot. I didn’t want to send it back because it took so long to come.
The wine was good the food was ok the appetizers were pretty good
Our waiter could have been more knowledgeable regarding the menu. He also could have been more attentive regarding our orders. He was ok but we've had better wait staff.
We were celebrating my girlfriends birthday, this was the place she chose. It was a good time for all!
I arrived to my 10:30 reservation at 10:35. I was not greeted by the greeter so I said hello I have a reservation. She said that she sees that but there’s a problem. I asked what the problem was and was told I could not be seated because the kitchen was closed. I asked why was able to make a reservation for 10:30 if the kitchen closes at 10:30? The greeter answer with I do not know. Then said that I could be seated. She told me to sit at the bar and I could receive the same service. I was then confused because I thought the reason she originally said I could not be seated was because the kitchen was closed. So I asked to speaker with the manager. The manager seemed in a hurry and without hearing me out offered to seat me. At that point I wanted to know why the greeter told me I couldn’t be seated but when the manager gets involved now I can be seated. The manager said she would follow up with the greeter about what happened. I asked the manager to follow up with me after the conversation with the greeter because I wanted a answer to my question. The manager agreed but did not follow up with what she agreed to. The many never came and checked to see how service was going for me afterwards. I feel disrespected, discriminated against, and devalued as a customer. As a wine club member this type of treatment is unacceptable.
The food was great however it was pretty busy so I assumed that was the reason for no silverware on the table. I think the crab cakes could have been cooked longer. The coleslaw I was given to go with a burger had no sauce. It was just dry. The fries were obviously sitting out for a while as they were pretty dried out. This was my second trip here the first was much better. I would chop it up to being Valentine's Day weekend.
Cooper's Hawk is nice and the food is always delicious. I had a reservation for 5:00pm but we got there around 4:00 pm and asked if we could be bumped up ( the website said they still had openings for 4:00 and 4:15). The lady told us 10-15 minutes. Well, 30 minutes later we ended up doing a wine tasting and got seated around 5:15pm. Hey, it was a busy weekend, what can you do.
Hadn’t been to this Cooper’s Hawk location yet, but loved it! Parking nearby and really enjoyed the natural lighting. Love that they take reservations because it can get pretty busy at night!
We had a magnificent experience! Our server Andrea was phenomenal- all her suggestions were SO on point!
Susan, our server was attentive and made our evening very enjoyable. The food was great and the drinks were strong. Well worth every penny spent.
This place is nice but our experience was decent. I did not like the fact that our waitress took a long time to get to us while other people that arrived after us had their food on the table. I can be understanding about things but by the time I was done with my food I had gotten my 2nd drink. Food wasn’t cooked the way I ordered it Nd waitress wasn’t really on point. I had high expectations for this place. Maybe some other day I’ll return.
All good. Wine tasting is too congested. Need to come up with a better system to accommodate members.
I brought a family member here for a bday. Coopers Hawk in Oak Park made it memorable for her..
Will definitely come back to this one.
Great wine, good food, and a sharp staff.
One of our favorite Cooper’s Hawk locations for wine tastings and dinner. Food and service is usually always great. Thank you
A little noisier than our usual Naperville location, but not a huge difference. Service and food were excellent!
I would recommend only to those who could afford it. Pricey (and I am not saying it is not worth it).
Service was great. I loved being greeted by one of the managers who was very polite and energetic. He knows how to keep you smiling after a long hard day. The food was great and so was our waiter, Susan. She was good and saw about our needs. She went above and beyond to meet our every needs. Thanks Susan! You're the best!
Everything seemed off. My salad came at the same time as everyone’s entree’s. My partner’s filet mignon was not a normal thick-cut. The wrong soup was delivered and quickly changed out, however there was a dollar difference and the wrong soup was on our bill. Our wait staff’s shift ended and we closed out the tab. But we stayed and chatted without anyone asking, if we wanted water refill or more coffee. Overall we were disappointed
