Had a date to catch up with a friend and we shared a bottle of the sparkling Rose. So so good!! We ordered the calamari which is fried and has this wonderful sweet and spicy sauce on it. The gnocchi with beef didn’t disappoint either. It was nice and calm for a Wednesday but it gets much busier on the weekend so reservation is recommended!

I took my husband here to start off his birthday weekend. We checked in and it took about 15 mins to be seated with reservations. The server took forever to come. After he came we waited again for a long time for our wine and bread for the table. Then he asked about appetizers and we at that point wanted to put our order in because we were afraid of how long it would take him to come back. I’ve been to a few different Cooper’s Hawk being a wine club member and this was by far on the bad end experience of the spectrum. We didn’t even have his birthday dessert because everything took too long. But the food tasted good once we got it

It was our 1st wedding anniversary, and we’d made a reservation using Open Table. So easy! We were warmly greeted upon arrival and ushered promptly to our table. Our waitress Jessica was very friendly and thorough. Our table placement was less than desirable for a special occasion as it was the first booth with tons of foot traffic. The restaurant is brightly lit & quite busy, so it wasn’t the intimate dinner we expected. We tasted a few wines and enjoyed an appetizer with our selection. Jessica was patient in allowing us time to enjoy ourselves before rushing into the meal. When our entrees arrived, sadly my filet mignon was over cooked. Charred on the outside and thoroughly cooked when I asked for it to be pink inside. They fixed me another while I ate the sides. The replacement wasn’t charred on the outside but was well done on the inside. Bummer! The manager was kind enough to offer apologies after the first snafu and offer champagne(we asked for dessert instead). After the second time, they decided not to charge for my meal and gave us dessert, coffee and an after dinner drink. The staff was kind, and we’ll be back. I may choose chicken next time, though. And we’ll save the special occasions for someplace more intimate.

It was my pre birthday dinner with friends. The waitress although not rude was just absent. She didn’t ask us many questions nor talk to to us too much.

Sat for about 20min. Before we even got a server . She brought the pretzel bread and the appetizers at the same time . We ordered the bruschetta and I could knock someone out with it. It took her at least 5min to open a bottle of wine, brought the wrong meal waited another 10 min for a bowl of braised rib risotto that was WAY over salted. NEVER AGAIN!!!!

This was my first visit to the Oak Park Cooper's Hawk. Although I had been to one in the Northwest suburbs, I definitely preferred this location. The layout of the restaurant was very open. The menu was so tempting, that I look forward to returning to try other options I passed on. I chose the shrimp and polenta which was inventive and delicious. My friends enjoyed their entrees as well. Service was pleasant and attentive. I will definitely return.

Our server, Sara, was OUTSTANDING! She really made our experience exceptional.

The brussel sprouts are my FAVORITE and they were not super this evening. The ahi tuna on the wonton however was amazing. Drinks were great and we enjoyed the ambience in the bar area.

Definitely a perfect place to go out and enjoy yourself with friends! I was in a party of 5 last night and we shared 2 full bottles of wine and had a delicious meal! I am a wine member and even received $15 off my meal too which was perfect plus 👌 the lux meal i had for the first time and it was delicious! I can't wait to return with more friends to enjoy another night out!

The waitress seemed very annoyed, the table next to us was very loud, we couldn't hear our conversation. When I made reservation I said it was birthday but wasn't asked about it had to sneak off and tell waitress. I frequent Oaklawn location and have had better experience there.

As a wine club member, I was very disappointed. I met 2 friends in the wine-tasting room prior to dinner. There was plenty of space at the bar. We stood at the bar and waited almost 15 minutes without being waited on or even acknowledged. There was plenty of staff...helping the few other customers already at the bar and chatting with each other. We finally had to flag someone down and ask to be helped. Not the Cooper's Hawk service I've experienced at the 4 other locations I've visited. Maybe this is why the wine-tasting room wasn't busy. I will not be back to this location, nor recommend it to others.

My wife and I started out with a wine tasting before dinner. We were served by Toni at the bar, when I asked to try the truffles with the wine Toni directed me to the takeout stand. While there I noticed that other bar servers were going over and retrieving the truffles for there bar guests. At the end of the wine tasting I asked Toni for change for a $100.00 bill, I tipped Toni $10.00 and notice that I only had $80.00 left.i asked Toni about this and without conversation gave me the $10.00 I was missing. We were seated shortly after, I ordered the NY strip medium. When my dinner came my steak was well done, i returned my steak back to the kitchen. I waited at least 20 minutes for my steak to come back out and when I got it, it was COLD! The service was mediocre collectively, Maybe it was an off night!

I have been to Cooper Hawks in Vernon Hills and Arlington Heights. I enjoyed both of them very much. The reason we went to the restaurant in Oak Park is because it was so much closer. We will not do that again. The food was just o.k., and it was noisy. The staff was very pleasant.

We went for Easter withh kids and grandparents: hoping to avoid a 'buffet'. Luckily they had their regular menu avail.
Every thing was delicious and everyone got what they wanted. Our waitress Andrea was awesome - very accomodating and friendly. Gave good recommendations. We have gone there before to sit and eat at the bar. First time in the dining area. It was great for our party of 7.

The food is good, the wine list is great and so is the value. The service was sub-par and it appeared to be coming from the kitchen. The manager and server did their best to make up for it, and therefore, I rated them overall at "good". Had the service been timely then they would have been great.

We have tried two different locations before and we really liked Cooper’s Hawk. The Oak Park location was so disappointing. I found it funny how the server presented the toasted bread on the appetizer platter as polenta. The dining area seems to be designed with a modern feel in mind, but it really feels like you’re in a Chipotle. The medium rare filet came medium well almost. They were very attentive to replace it and the second try was really charred on the outside and rare in the middle. Definitely going to the Burr Ridge location from now on

I really like Cooper’s Hawk overall. This time, we waited a while to be seated despite having a reservation. I don’t want this review to make it seem like the server was bad. She did the best she could. We waited over an hour for our food. My daughter had a meltdown because we’d been seated for so long and we had to ask for our food to go - huge bummer. The manager was apologetic and did give us some vouchers for a meal another time which was nice. My only feedback would be to staff up more for what you can assume will be a busy night since it’s a holiday weekend.

We did a wine tasting before our reservation time and it was very slow at the bar. They definitely need more staff. I had the Churrasco Shrimp and it was delicious. The jicama slaw it came with was on point.
