The food was good and our server was really nice. Service was extremely slow though. We had a reservation, but it was Father’s Day and I think the kitchen was overwhelmed. I would go back on a regular night though.

We had a reservation at 4:00 on Father’s Day to avoid any crowding and got seated within a few minutes. We ordered wine, soda, an appetizer and mains. We did not get our first course until 5:15. The people next to us, who also ordered an appetizer and mains, were finished before we got our main. I don’t know what was going on with our server, it did not seem like she had too many tables, but it took very long for us to get our beverages, and both courses. The food was good for the most part but my husband ordered medium well medallions which arrived medium well. The replacements arrived rare and after everyone had finished their mains. This is our second to this restaurant and while it has the potential to be the best fine dining in the area, it has significant flaws.

This was our first time to the Coopers Hawk Winery & Restaurant in Lansing, MI. We enjoyed the patio and the wine pairings with our meals. We look forward to future visits and wine tasting.

Food we ordered was excellent and the server was nice with good suggestions! However, we were celebrating our anniversary and noted that with the reservation and it was odd that other tables around us were also celebrating occasions and were offered dessert or champagne but we weren’t. Also all the tables around us were offered pretzel bread but we weren’t.. not sure why! We loved our entrees but took about 30 for our appetizer to arrive.

Had a very oily/overly buttery entree and couldn’t finish it for my upset stomach. My family who came with me also had the same issue…we did let the server and manager know and they adjusted our bill, which was very appreciated. I’d give them another try, as other locations have been ok. Prices are reasonable, but not if it’s a bad food experience.

Food is great. They really need to work on service. Friendly but they seem to be stretched too line. Waitress even told us how hectic it is. Good was worth going again
