Cooper's Hawk Winery & Restaurant - Kentwood
Our first time having lunch here. We were delighted with the service, food and overall treatment. The whole staff was conscientious about Covid safety measures. Would recommend highly.
Went there for a nice dinner. Great food and they don’t rush you.
Love this restaurant. The food, staff, drinks and atmosphere are all fantastic!
I highly recommend being a member. All associates are very friendly and the food is awesome.
Loved the wine tasting area and the outdoor seating
Amazing service and amazing food!
Not sure if the restaurant was supposed to be a sport's bar or an upscale restaurant. I expected an upscale restaurant, but the large screen TVs turned to sport's channels and placed on every wall made it seem more like a sport's bar.
Food was outstanding! Service was slow! Perhaps there was a shortage of wait staff. Took over a half hour before we had our first glass of wine.
We sat on the patio, but the patio is right next to the parking lot, so you get to watch cars and trucks come in and park. Nice diversion while you wait for your glass of wine to be delivered. One car arrived with his music volume high enough to give an instant headache, and we got to listen to his choice of music for a few minutes before he finally turned his engine off and came inside. That was entertaining.
Cooper's Hawk advertises that casual clothing is excepted, but a table enjoying ours had four people all wearing matching green t-shirts with; "F**K VERN" written in large black letters on the front. Don't know who Vern is, but inappropriate attire in almost any setting. Unless Cooper's Hawk just wants to be a neighborhood bar - with outstanding food.
Great time there and a wonderful server. Ten out of ten!
Absolutely loved it. Our waiter was excellent I believe his name was James, very nice did a great job helping us to have a great experience. Food was delicious.
Always a good meal with wonderful wine
Sangria was watered down/non flavorful. The food was delicious appetizers are amazing better than the main courses only flaw was our beverages.
It was our second year in a row going to Cooper’s Hawk for our anniversary (exact day). Last year after booking and making note it was our anniversary, we went through the whole experience without any comments about our celebration...no complimentary wine, or dessert… Nothing -so I made a comment about it last year and we were given apologies from the management. This year we went again (exact day) & I made note again on my reservation about our anniversary and this time we were greeted by the hostess stand and told “happy anniversary”, which was very nice. However, through our whole dining experience with our server, we were not given a verbal congratulations or offered any wine/dessert… So we ended up ordering drinks and two desserts on our own to pay for, like any other day we’d dine. When I asked the server at the end of the meal (when she brought our bill) if guests don’t receive “perks” for celebrations, she said “oh no we do”and questioned why no one told her and tried to look for information on the back of her guest tab she was keeping on our table. She then told me that next time we came in to mention it was our fake anniversary so I would get something complementary. I told her I didn’t feel comfortable doing that and asked if we could take a couple truffles home, but it still wasn’t the experience I was hoping for on my 22nd wedding anniversary night.
We made a reservation for outdoor seating 5 days in advance and when we arrived, there wasn't a table ready for us. We had to wait around 15 minutes for one to open up and when it did, the table was wobbly and unusable. We were able to be moved to another table which was nice. Our waitress was extremely nice and friendly but we did have to wait some time for our drinks to come out and for refills so not sure if that was our waitress or the bar. I'd say the food was okay. Their side of vegetables was not very good and the mashed potatoes were cold. The scallops were delicious though!
We absolutely loved everything about Cooper's Hawk. The food was great. The drinks were awesome. And the staff were all very kind and professional.
Ash always great experience with friends for a nice dinner and wine, we will be back
This was our first time dining here. We absolutely loved it! James was our server and was wonderful. He was fast and kind, we will definitely ask for James again. The food and wine was amazing!! Best key lime pie!! Five Stars!
Started with the southwest egg rolls and they were excellent. The three dipping sauce were ok, the cashew was delicious but the other two were just average. Wife had the pistachio-crusted grouper which was cooked to perfection and the mustard sauce made it even better. The side of potatoes and asparagus made a very filling meal. I had the gnocchi carbonara which was creamy and very tender. The shaved Parmesan cheese that topped it made the dish. Peas where fresh and crisp to the bite. The only draw back was that some of the gnocchis was a bit over done and a little dark but not enough to take away from the overall taste of the dish. We would recommend both dishes. The gnocchis pares nice with the Unoaked Chardonnay (bin 70).
Came in to surprise some friends and the team was on top of it! Really helped make the surprise happen!
We had a seasoned waiter that was knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. Great advice without overselling.
Two people ordered thee same dish. The kitchen staff switched the order, medium rare was served to the person who ordered the medium and vice versa.
Other than the above mentioned, all was good.
Our waiter Cody was very good. Place is easy to find. Very clean
Absolutely fantastic. One of the best restaurants in Grand Rapids. Great food, great wine, great service. Will definitely be back again!
We dined for the first time to celebrate my new job, and wow! We loved all of our food, the wine recommendations and the service from Marcus. We’ll definitely be back!
Great place for an evening out. Food and wine are both excellent.
We were in from Pittsburgh for a few days for a golf outing. Was recommended to go to Cooper’s and it was fabulous. The food was great, the chocolate martinis just overall really enjoyed it.
Food was okay but unfortunately not any better or worse than Blackrock grill nearby or olive garden but way pricer. The wine was great as well as the ambiance. The serving staff was a little overwhelmed but friendly. Cocktails are good but way too much ice and very small glasses. (Sangria nightjar was mine)
We had a fantastic table outside. I had the potstickers and my girlfriend had a salad. Stuck with small plates. The menu is expansive and it was fun to get out. I def like the outdoor seating during this time but know it cant go on forever! Great wine too!
The staff was very helpful with all our questions. Food appearance and taste was great.
It was great to be able to taste again before our lunch. Everyone was very helpful and kind.
Thanks again for a great experience
Amazing - thanks!
Great as usual.
This place was amazing and our waitress Andrea was amazing and went above and beyond.
We waited a long time to be acknowledged and served. Clearly understaffed.
First off I had to remind the waiter 3 times it was my birthday to get the free bday dessert , then I was noticing how the manager was going to tables of persons who bdays it was and never came to our table. Was seated for 30 minutes and wasn’t asked what I wanted off the menu. The customer service is horrible or maybe because I’m black they didn’t greet us or say happy birthday. Everybody kept sharing not saying much .
Food is absolutely delicious. Great presentation, great service. Large variety of wines and menu.
Amazing!! Cannot wait to go again! Food was awesome and so were the drinks!
Good food and drinks reasonably priced. Good protocol protection for COVID-19
Overall was a good experience and food was great.
It was our anniversary and we were treated as royalty. Thank you for a wonderful evening/
Amazing food. Amazing wine! Would recommend to anyone !
Great restaurant .... service is always outstanding. Their wine is equally outstanding. Highly recommend.
