    It took out server Tyler an hour to bring us our first 4 drinks, group of 4) also he offered us bread took him 1/2hour to bring got it just before appetizers it took 3 attempts to bring more. Very very slow service it was a little disappointing because we decided to bring another couple who have never been there before they were not impressed.

    Boy oh boy, does this place have everything! Whatever you can imagine on a menu, it's pretty much here. The selection of wine, spirits and food is vast and there's something tasty for everyone. It's always fairly crowded, which adds to the ambience of feeling like you're out to celebrate something or enjoy someone's company. Great place!

    We had a really great first experience at Cooper's Hawk. The hosts were a bit aloof and slightly off-putting when we checked in. We were a little early for our reservation and I feel like they could have been more welcoming,possibly encouraged us to do some wine tasting. But the vibe was more "we can't get you in early, check back closer to your reservation time". We were a little unsure what to expect from a "table in the bar" but were pleasantly surprised when our server tucked us into a quiet booth. She was super-attentive, had lots of recommendations, and we weren't at all disappointed with the food. We had 4 in our party and every guest left saying "that was the best meal I have had out in a long time". We ordered from nearly every section of the menu and were very happy with each plate. For a restaurant with such diverse offerings, we were really impressed with how well every dish was executed.

    I took my friends to the Kentwood Cooper’s Hawk during a girls weekend. It was their first time and thoroughly enjoyed the wine tasting as well as the food. I was so glad they liked it as much as I always do!

    We had amazing appetizers and wine but two of our dinners were not good and my Spaghetti and meatballs were just fair. The waitress was awesome and very attentive to all our questions and meal restrictions!!

    I brought a friend for wine tasting and dinner. We had a wonderful time. Everyone that took care of us was personable and friendly. Our server for dinner, Terry, was phenomenal! We both have food allergies and she made us feel at ease with everything

    The potatoes were like glop on my plate. Not whipped, not buttery more like a dollop of glue. My steak was satisfactory. Not excellent but it was cooked medium just as I ordered. I have had better for $44.00. My guests ordered a fish entree and it was dry and tepid when it was served. The Caesar salad was overdressed and the romaine was wilted. The waitstaff was short staffed. We were there at 5:30. Not exactly the prime dinner hour. We waited and waited and waited for our second order of drinks. Dinner was well over and when they arrived, they were not as ordered so rather than keep the table from turning over we sent them back and paid the bill. The manager did bring a free dessert and appetizers as compensation but, when you’re done you’re done.

    The restaurant was packed! But our waitress, Ally, was right on the job, getting us whatever we ordered, quickly with no delays. Food was excellent as always. We also used the valet parking. The young valet was very friendly, courteous and did his job with a smile. Upon leaving he brought the car around, opened the doors for my wife and me. He asked about our dinners, then shut the doors and thanked us. What a welcoming place to spend a night out for dinner.

    We did wine tasting before dinner. Excellent variety of wines and a few surprises! Highly recommend the Pear Seltzer! Dinner was delicious and the service top notch.

    Excellent food and service. 5 stars for both. The only slightly negative was the noise level. Place was packed and at times it was difficult to carry a conversation over the noise level.

    It was our anniversary and they went out of their way to accommodate us. Our server was Brittany, she was amazing! We had a quiet table and the food was excellent! We will be back.

    I really enjoyed the ambience of the restaurant and was looking forward to dinner, it was our daughters birthday. The food was ok. My daughters mahi mahi was over cooked. Not a good thing. My risotto was ok I’ve had better and the crusted grouper was very small and not as flavorful at all. I expected a better experience all around.

    The food was fantastic, the wine superb, and the service kind. It was a wonderful place for a special occasion. It is expensive but it was also when of the best all time dining experiences I have had so it is worth the price in my opinion. Also be prepared to take your time and savor the experience, they don’t rush things.

    This was not our first trip to Coopers Hawk and will not be our last. Service was excellent as always. I had the medallions and they were prepared to perfection. If you dine here you must get the s’mores dessert!

    Cooper's Hawk has a wide variety of food options and an excellent wine cellar. The staff is well versed with what is available and what menu item it would complement.

    Cooper's Hawk is quite the experience. I would highly recommend making reservations especially for a weekend evening. If you enjoy wine tasting I would recommend getting to the restaurant about forty-five minutes to an hour prior to your reservation to do wine tasting. For $10 you receive 10 tastings (unless you're like us and wine club members it's no cost). Dinner is great. I would recommend any of the risottos. Valley is also complimentary as parking can be difficult when it is busy. Overall it is one of my two favorite places to dine in Grand Rapids.

    Our meal was excellent. The three of us ordered different lunch entrees - the special of the date carne asada tacos, the parmesan crusted chicken and shrimp scampi. All were outstanding. Service was also above the norm. We will definitely return!

    All food was phenomenal except the very disappointing Reese’s cookie skillet. Cookie was over cooked - hard and crispy. The ice cream did not soften it at all. The pretzel bread was the perfect texture for my liking. Espresso martini very tasty. Short rib risotto was outstanding. The chocolate cake and truffles were also really good. I did not have any wine - but seems like the perfect place for someone who enjoys that. I would go back. The staff was great, including our server. Very friendly, professional, and accommodating. It was a busy Saturday night, so noise level was a bit high - but it didn’t negatively affect my experience. I enjoyed the dim lighting and overall ambiance. Tables are placed very close together, but again, it didn’t negatively impact our dinner. I would consider it a good date night spot or for celebrating a special occasion.

    We’ve been here a couple times but we were disappointed this time. Our server was great but the hostess was a little rude when we arrived a little early for our reservations even though open table said they had lots of reservations still available earlier. We were seated in the bar area even though our reservation was for standard seating. We were fine with it, but then our Brussels sprouts were cold and our entrees were just ok. Probably won’t be our first choice for the next night out.
