Food is always excellent and service is, too.
Love love love this place. Cocktails and food are always delicious. Only downfall is that it is loud inside. However, it gives it a great, alive vibe.
The perfect place for a reunion with college girlfriends for a 13 year reunion. The food was amazing, service excellent and the ambiance perfect.
When arriving there was only a table in the patio. Nobodt else was there. The meeter-greeter said it would soon be full. We would remain the only persons in the patio. It felt like they disn’t want our children in the main restaurant. When we left the restaurant was almost empty.
The bottle of red wine (2013, Spain, Ribera del Duero) we ordered was way to cold and should have been decanted by the sommelier.
The waitress was nice and did her best.
Food was poor eg. bruschettas were wet and tasteless. My suggestion is that the owners visit a tapas restaurant in Basque country or Spain. Nothing special, just somehing on a plaza’s corner.
Great time, great food, great service. Went the extra mile to help us celebrate the birthday!
Delicious food and great cocktails! Service was excellent.
Best restaurant in town . Must go. Bikini is the best grilled cheese you’ll ever have
We had the most delightful experience, from the wonderfully sweet valet who remembered our names, to the owner whom I thought was the Sommelier...chatting us up several times about food and wine. And a gorgeously crafted fire-roasted menu. We’ll be back.
It was delicious
Great service and management. Good drinks.
We spent over three hours at C&S and had a wonderful time. It was a business/social dinner and the food, etal. were wonderful.
Awesome experience! The atmosphere was fun, and the entire staff was professional and extremely friendly. Our server was one of the best we’ve ever had. The training Cooks and Soldiers puts their staff through definitely pays off as her knowledge of the menu and recommendations were spot on. The food was simply fantastic from start to finish. We chose the family style option for our party of four and thoroughly enjoyed it all...selecting one tapas item per guest (which we all shared) and the prime rib platter. The deserts were also exceptional and we shared those too!
We highly recommend Cooks and Soldiers for a fun evening out with friends or a date...as long as you are not expecting an intimate setting. This is more electric and alive...we loved it!
I took my fiance for his birthday, and we both really enjoyed ourselves. The decor fits the style of the Westside: open, airy, and eclectic. Yet, it still managed to provide some intimacy with our corner seat.
The food was fresh, delicious, and unusual. Our choices:
Mussels come not in your typical white wine or tomato-based sauce, but are rather roasted and then tossed in yummy, spicy sauce.
Veal cheeks were succulent and melted in the mouth.
The pork belly had a sticky sweet coating and was deliciously fatty.
The roasted potatoes were crisp, hot, and nicely seasoned with fresh herbs.
Our fave (we had 2 orders!) was the cold smoked salmon on toast. Tasted of fresh sea water, enhanced by the caviar, onion, grated egg, and creme fraiche.
Our server was great. He was very knowledgeable and attentive without hovering. He also gave us 2 complimentary shots of champagne for my guy's birthday.
Service was fluid, and the kitchen is on point. The servers, even those not working our table, were very friendly and would take a moment to chat.
Excellent experience. We'll definitely visit again!
Fantastic service! Great recommendations from the bartender and server. Will be back again- with more friends in tow!
Atmosphere was relaxing and fun!
This was my second time there and just as good as the first. The menu can be overwhelming if you're not used to tapas-style restaurant- but the wait staff is always very, very helpful and knowledgeable. The food is expertly prepared. The craft cocktails are excellent- the home-made tonic for their gin and tonic is a must.
The food and drinks were amazing!!! I loved it!!! I enjoyed the Riesling so much!!! It was sweet and smooth just like I like wine and the veal was soooo tender!!!
Fabulous dinner at Cooks & Soldiers. The food, the wine, the friends!
We had a wonderful birthday dinner tonight. The staff was very good and attentive, and the food was delicious. We ordered the pork loin for the table along with some small plates. Some included: scallops, tuna, meatballs, and the Spanish.tortilla. Dessert did not disappoint either. Wa shared the cheesecake & donuts. We will definitely be back!
Went here for my husband’s birthday with some friends. Had a great time. The drinks were fabulous and the food was amazing. Will be back again!
We had wanted to try Cooks &Soldiers since it opened and were spurred on by seeing it featured in an episode of “Queer Eye”. We were not disappointed. Highly recommend the rabbit and pigs in a blanket. It’s a bit on the pricey side, but well worth a splurge.
We hosted some important customers who were in town for a few days. Our waitress, Virginia was so kind and accommodating. A few had different dietary restrictions and she was able to please everyone. The other staff were also attentive and friendly. The food was outstanding. We started out with a meat and cheese plate followed by the tradicionales: the roasted mushrooms, duck confit and pan con tomato. All were delicious. Next, we tried the grilled octopus, the meatballs and my favorite, the bikini! Next was the whole grilled fish and the chuleton. The fish was fresh and tender. The chuleton had the tastiest ribeye ever. Cheesecake was out of this world and the doughnuts were great too. Cocktails and wine were spot on as well. This was our 2nd time here. 1st time was with another couple and this time, a big group. Both times have been a fantastic experience! Thank you, Cooks and Soldiers!
Really good spot. Will return. Happy hour was great.
Amazing jamon and cheeses, also liked the rabbit, scallops, and mushrooms.
Cooks and Soldier's never disappoints! Its so much fun to go with a group and be able to try so many different dishes! Laura is the BEST server! She has made all of our visits to Cooks & Soldiers special. She makes excellent recommendations. We loved the bottle of wine that we had (Carlos Serres Rioja Reserva 2010). All of our food was wonderful! The Atun is a perfect summer dish. Iberia Albondigas and Bikini never disappoint! The flounder special was perfectly cooked and flavorful! The chef's special dishes were wonderful too. Can't wait to go back again.
Had a wonderful experience entertaining my staff. The team was impressed by the quality of the food and the dining experience.
I'd give the service 7 stars if I could. The food was a hit 4 out of 5 plates. I especially loved the rabbit appetizer. Altogether great experience. Cocktails were great too.
Bar staff was excellent pouring samples of spanish wines, food was authentic Basque tapas...outstanding choice
The food and drink took a very long to come out. Other than that a great dining experience.
Great restaurant, food is too salty though
Great food and wine experience. If you're looking for some great flavors and a lot of them, this is your place. Eclectic, well thought out wine list and excellent service.
Had a great time and will be back on my next visit.
If you have not been, you need to go. I've had some of the best service in Atlanta at Cooks and Soldiers, where you'll find Basque dishes mixed in among more mainline Iberian dishes and other tapas with which you'll be familiar. If you're a fan of octopus, the wood-fired octopus is particularly excellent.
I'm gluten free (medical), and the gluten free menu makes ordering very easy and has a robust assortment from which you can pick.
For cocktails, C&S specializes in gin, which you won't find too much of at most Atlanta restaurants. Start off with their house gin and tonic, which they concoct for you using in-house, specially-made tonic.
Food was amazing, on par with Iberian Pig. Would recommend!!
It was family Girls’ Weekend in Atlanta and we chose Cooks and Soldiers for our last dinner out. Amazing choice! Excellent service from Paul, excellent food and beautiful location.
Exceptional service and food. I have been here multiple times now and this is the rule not the exception. One of Atlanta's best.
We went to Cooks and Soldiers to celebrate our anniversary. The food was outstanding and the service was great. It is well furnished and has a lot of character. I'd definitely recommend it!
Absolutely amazing! Was not expecting the quality of service before We arrived, and was instantly surprised. Our waitress was very pleasant, and helped plan the meal to insure we didn’t miss our evening plans.
Poor service with food being forgotten and clearly not focus for the waiter. The restaurant used to be good but after this I will no longer be returning
We ordered small plates at the bar after falling in love with the wonderful bar staff. We were able to watch our food be prepared and have great conversation.
Unique, variety, service make dining memorable. This is our third time and we look forward a fourth.
