Cooks & Soldiers brings the cuisine and cultural experience of Spain’s Basque region to the flourishing West Midtown area. The menu is divided into “pintxos tradicionales,” or tapas-like snacks served atop toasted bread; “pinxtos especiales,” or Basque-inspired small plates; “asador” including a variety of wood-grilled fish, meats and vegetables; and a selection of unique and modern desserts. Behind the bar, Cooks & Soldiers offers guests an extensive collection of Basque and Spanish wines, txakoli and ciders, in addition to craft beer and signature cocktails. The cocktail list places a heavy emphasis on gin, offering a seasonal selection of house-infused tonics blended into gin tonics and other popular libations.

Prices were very high for the value. We love Iberian Pig in Decatur and were hoping for the same quality, but it's not. The Tapas are good but not superior. The charcuterie board was minuscule for $29. Sangria was not good. The sea bass $38, was delicious, but it was served with nothing else. The flavor is too pungent without an accompaniment. Needs some potatoes, broccolini...something....help me out here. They can do better, but we likely won't be back to see if they do.

Our entire experience was perfect from start to finish! Our server (and the entire FOH team) was amazing and the service was flawless. We had originally planned on only coming for drinks and snacks and then going elsewhere for dinner, but cancelled that resy and decided to stay because we were having such a great time. Some of the best food and service we’ve had in a very long time. Bravo 🙌🏼

From attentive service to excellent suggestions from our waiter to everything we ate being delicious, I highly recommend Cooks & Soldiers. My only complaint is that the noise level on the enclosed patio was very high.

Food was different than last time. Octopus- added a very heavy sauce - 👎 No meatball appetizers -👎 Grilled cheese - added sliced prosciutto 👎 Service was excellent but unfortunately we won’t be returning as food was disappointing! This use to be our favorite restaurant
