Our menu is contemporary Mediterranean with the signature Johnnie Cooke Irish twist and our wine & cocktail menus are impeccably designed. Boasting dining space for 125 and a cocktail & wine bar for 60, Cookes is a lush, versatile space available for private functions and group bookings.
Beautiful restaurant, went on a Wednesday night,so Cooke's was relatively quiet. Outstanding, courteous, friendly waiter who made our night feel so special. A La carte menu was somewhat limited, but there was a choice of different dishes available. My wife had shrimp and calamari, which she said were delicious. My soup (roast pepper) was beautiful. The only gripe I had was my steak. Although perfectly cooked as requested, what I received was in no way worth the 32 euro cost. It was the dearest dish on the menu.
Having said that, thanks to the exceptional service and beautiful ambience, we will return,I just won't order steak the next time!!
Amazing place will definitely be back, lovely service, delicious food and a great ambience, 10/10 deserved x
Poor service , recommended you to a friend, they arrived looking for a table for 5 was told not free, what about the one by the window, it’s for 8, is it booked for tonight no.........can we sit there no, it’s for 8 !!!!!!
Food and location is good. Service is very slow - took over an hour to get our main course.
Decor, food and service all lovely but unfortunately quiet so did lack atmosphere.
I would certainly go back.
Had a lovely dinner with my partner. Food was great. Perfect place for a date and they make fab old fashioned 🍸
I absolutely enjoyed it since we got there till we finished our dining. The staff was very nice, friendly and professional. If you enjoy having your meetings or just catch up with friends in a cozy place I would definitely recommend it. Great job.
Fantastic food & drinks, staff is very helpful and knowledgeable, service is excellent!
Vibrant atmosphere, highly recommend it!
Good food, friendly staff. Good cocktails. The price is reasonable. Next time we will try the dinner that comes with the movie tickets.
It was nice to be able to have a drink before. Glad it was early bird as a la carter quite expensive.
Delicious calamari and a very good steak.
Service very attentive, friendly and helpful
Amazing place, no complaints. Beautiful food and environment is calming
I've been a few times. Service was better than last time but the food remains mediocre. With a better chef this place would be fab
waited for nearly 30mins before someone took our order... always seems to be in need of an organised manager to bring process to the place... food ok... scallops tasty but ridiculously small... rest of the experience was decent.. hoping it gets better as is local and is handy for socialising with friends..
Food was lovely and the service could not have been better. Would highly recommend.
Lovely dinner! The food was very tasty I had the crab salad and was delicious , the staff and the service were excellent, after dinner we stayed in the bar and cocktails were great!
10/10 I would recommend Cookes :)
Amazing restaurant with a beautiful view of Dundrum. Great food, friendly staff. Ideal at all times. Went there for breakfast and loved it.
I went here with a friend for dinner before the movies. The setting was beautiful with dimmed overhead chandelier with large windows overlooking the fountain area outside the shopping centre. I had the short rib which was so tender and moist and full of flavor. Drinks were amazing, have a range of cocktails on the menu but the bartender can make any drink to your tasting. Will be returning more often when in dundrum, must try the brunch next time.
I’ve eaten here 6 or 7 times now since you’ve opened. On my last visit I was disappointed as the fish with the fish and chips was very greasy and heavy. Two of my friends ordered the chicken Milanese and had to order chips separately as they weren’t included. My other friend had the crab salad but no bread with it so expensive for what you got. The menus have changed but are not updated on the website. On the plus side the staff were very nice and if there were a few tweaks and attention to detail it would be a lovely restaurant. I eat out in Dundrum a lot as I am a local as do my friends and when a place is good we come often.
It was okay, lobster pizza was a bit pricey- didn’t quite work. They could reduce their prices by 25% to make it worth it...
Lovely place. Fantastic atmosphere and beautiful interior. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I had delicious crab salat and my partner steak sandwich, was really tasty.
Bar looks really impressive, planing to come back for dinner and drinks.
Overall we had a very pleasant dining experience. There were a few teething problems but the service was warm, friendly and attentive.
Very disappointing! Formal dining menu & prices without the service or little touches you should expect. Maybe the food was good, I was too irritated to notice.
1) Our waiting staff had no idea what any of the dishes on the menus were & attempted to take my plate away before I was finished
(restaurant management 101
2) Steak was served on a slate, cutting your meat resulted in a sound resembling scratching nails on a blackboard. I had to ask for a dinner plate.
3) The ‘cheese board’ consisted of Brie & one blue cheese. Not a very inspiring choice & again the staff has no idea what was on the menu.
Wonderful addition to Dundrum that is very much needed. The food is typical nothing exciting of new
A night at the Opera started well, food good, service very good, but where was the curry?
Baking soda pancakes- inedible
Tea massively overpriced
Service was very slow despite the restaurant not being busy.
Went to Cookes on a Friday night and it was extremely quiet. Service was polite and very attentive and the bar and restaurant look beautiful. I found the bar stool at the bar very uncomfortable, there was no footrest and the seat was quiet slippy. The choice on the menu was limited and not particularly enticing. The presentation was nice but quite bland tasting. The bread selection was particularly poor: chewy and lacking in variety. The wine list was decent. The whole experience was ok but not enough to encourage me to go back, definitely not for food anyway. Hopefully will improve when it has been open longer.
Had lunch food was good . Not a great selection for vegetarians maybe dinner has a better selection . Restaurant itself is lovely.Service excellent
