Excellent service, delicious food. Started with the calamari. Lightly breaded and a flavorful aioli. Eggplant parmigiana was delicious and so satisfying. Can’t wait to go back!

One of my favorite dining spots in the Napa Valley. The overall experience is perfect. The setting and ambiance is casual elegance, the service is friendly and efficient and the food is sublime. If you happen to be in St Helena you’ll enjoy this restaurant.

Our second time here and certainly not to be our last, Cook has yet to disappoint. The gnocchi is as delicious as ever, the burrata is amazing and the other pasta dishes almost as good as the gnocchi. We will definitely be back!!

In my opinion Cook has the best food of any restaurant in St. Helena. Every choice I have ever made is delicious! The pasta dishes are outstanding as are their soups. It's a small restaurant with some bar seating and the atmosphere is just what it should be which is welcoming and friendly and encourages occasional warm exchanges between guests who don't know each other and of course between the many locals that dine there. Likewise, the servers are gracious and efficient.

Burrata made for an excellent choice of an appetizer before our pasta dishes. The bolognese was incredible and the gnocchi melted in your mouth. Would absolutely recommend if in the St. Helena/ Napa area and looking for a place for a great meal!

As noted in the review, other than the seriously loud! cacophony of noisemakers, our evening at Cook was great. It is and has for many years, been one of our favorite restaurants in the valley. The service is perfect and most importantly the food is always superb. Our friends from Maine raved about their choices and would love the recipe for the that evening’s Risotto. Many thanks, Cook , for once again hosting a memorable evening.

Look, anyone who doesn’t love this place needs a checkup. This is our fourth time here. We love everything about it. Every. Single. Time. The food is flavorful and haunts your dreams. The service is unfussy and efficient. Our server today mastered the menu and perfectly answered questions. We bought our own wine, and corkage was fair. The desserts were simple and not heavy. We had a very happy gluten-free consumer as well. We had the mussels (of course). They were excellent and rich. The special risotto featured brown butter, veal, almonds and fig. The spaghetti alla vongole is peerless. The cavatelli arrabiata was all gone! And the fazzoletti bolognese was delicate and delicious. There is nothing like this anywhere else we travel. We love sharing this secret with our friends and enjoy it MORE than our fancy Yountville and Healdsburg experiences.

First time at Cook. The sausage and mussels had been recommended to me. The sausage and mussels were amazing. Get the sausage and mussels. The batched negroni was also excellent. I understand they are famous for the gnocchi. It was delicious, but only get it if you want something that is 10/10 on the rich scale. It was a really fun place to eat. Will be back regularly.

The only knock was the eggplant parmesan - the red sauce and the béchamel were delicious, but I dont understand why they go to the motion of frying the eggplant and then dousing it with sauce such that there is no longer any crispness to the eggplant - great flavor though

My first time visit: Good service and food. Will return. A little difficult to hear in the 'bar area.' Very tasty pasta dishes. Some bread would have been nice.
