Been eating here for years. Always delicious. Great pastas
Requested a corner/quiet table and got it (which is seldom the case), service was attentive a food very good.
This quaint restaurant is a good spot for delicious pasta.
Busy Friday night, but the service and food was excellent! Celebrating birthdays! Highly recommend!
Excellent Italian food and great service.
Giana C is the best! We love her. Great food and service as well
Our dinner at Cook St. Helena exceeded our expectations. It encapsulated our perfect evening in St. Helena. I ordered the Gnocchi Carbonara, and it was exceptional—light little pillows of pasta tossed in a delicious Carbonara sauce. We enjoyed great wine, and our service was attentive and friendly. We are anxious to return to Cook St. Helena so that we can further explore their menu.
My husband and I have been coming to Cook every year for the past 10 years, and in the past always found it excellent. This year the quality of the food has declined very significantly, and we were disappointed. Also, the wine we ordered was so thin and watery that we had to ask for a replacement.
Delicious food and great service. Highly recommend this place
Disappointing in every way.
We have been going there for many years and the food is consistently excellent.
Delicious homemade pasta! Very reasonable prices. Would highly recommend
We have been to Cook many times and the food is consistently good. Service was slow this time, but not the servers fault. She was excellent. Value is also very good.
We love this local restaurant. The menu is somewhat limited but the Italian preps are really excellent! Staff are wonderful but the room can be deafening at times.
Extra lovely evening at Table #7 to celebrate Rebecca Bell's birthday!!! Thanks for making it extra special with the lovely surprise dessert for her!
Jude, the rock cod risotto was superb!!! As were the brussel sprouts, a favorite dish!
And I savored the Macaulay Zinfandel! Fun to know what Kirk Venge and Mat Watson are making these days!
The four of us will be back Wednesday January 15th @ 5:30, and would love to reserve Table 7 once again!!!
My husband and I enjoyed our meals very much! His risotto was coooked perfectly and the homemade pasta was amazing ❤️
Great dining experience at Cook as always. The mussels appetizer was incredible. The dinner special was risotto with veal. Veal was tender and the risotto was creamy and delicious. Will be back soon.
We always come to Cook when in Napa . Food is amazing
We recently tried Cook for the first time. It has a warm, intimate atmosphere, the service was excellent and the food was superb. I loved the Risotto, the short ribs were delicious too. My daughters had the sheet noodles, one had bolognese and the other had pesto. The pesto was a special request and they were happy to make it. I highly recommend Cook.
Delicious food -great service!
Awesome food and service! Great wine list with very reasonable prices!
Great food..the special was fantastic! Service was spot on!
Great waitress: Gwen
Loved the Eggplant parmesan!
Cook is one of our all time favorites! Small and quiet with the best food.
Our Napa Valley go-to, favorite restaurant. We have been going for 15 years now and Cook never disappoints. They just get it all right!
Cook was delicious and everyone in our party was very happy! We will talk about this meal for a very long time.
Small but wonderful little Italian place in St. Helena. We stopped in for a post wine tasting luncheon and everyone enjoyed their food which was prepared just a few feet away in the open kitchen. Excellent food, wonderful service.
Always a solid choice in town. Great comfort Italian food, fresh ingredients and too culinary execution.
Special risotto is always delicious. Nice wine list with tons of locals.
Great service from Bella ! Food was wonderful. Brussel sprouts were as good as any that we have ever had. Salad was a great next course filled by a wonderful chicken pasta that was delicious. Great little place that produces great food in a small location. Can be a bit loud when full but still a great place to enjoy a great meal. If we lived in St. Helena this would be a frequent stop!
Too Loud Too bland too expensive.
Eggplant parmigiana too bready and sauce was too tinny. no bread or olive oil to start, and wine was so so, pricy but not worth the price. My partners liked their meals, tho, so maybe just an off night for eggplant parmigiana. Oh yeah, the ministroni soup was super good, so there’s that.
My brother and I each flew a few hours to rendezvous in Napa for a weekend of wine tasting--dinner the first night was at Cook and it was a great (perhaps too great) start to the weekend. Fantastic food, engaging and friendly service, good wine selection. After dinner we sat outside on the sidewalk bench and talked for a half hour before deciding that our best option at 10 pm was to go back inside for another glass of wine each and a couple espressos at the bar.
Delightful, well prepared food. A little cramped, but European style. Friendly, helpful, accommodating waitstaff. Definitely one will return to
Absolutely love Cook St. Helena. Everything is just perfect! Excellent food paired with phenomenal service. This is a do not miss restaurant in Napa Valley. Make a reservation early!
Came all the way from Canada and enjoyed everything about this place!
Loud, inattentive service, and uneven food. Given the reviews, I was disappointed.
This is one of our favorite places to dine in St. Helena and we try to eat there at least once every time we visit. We love the small restaurant ambiance, the casual chic decor, the fabulous food and gracious service. Prices are reasonable and the experience is always delightful. I have a bit of a hearing problem and wish it had more sound mitigation but otherwise it’s just wonderful.
The restaurant is small. The staff are exceedingly attentive. The food was tasty. Perfect end to a day of tasting and enjoying the bounty of St. Helena. Wine list was broad as you might expect amidst wine country.
Overall experience was poor. My pasta dish was very average. The noise level was loud. Cramped space.
The salad was okay. Would not, recommend this place to anyone!
Outstanding food which actually outperformed many of the winery experiences
