Been to Cook several times, each time has been a treat, the service is impeccable and the food is second to none. The Champagne selection could be better but none the less the wine selection is awesome.

My wife and I love this place. Of the many restaurant choice Cook is a favorite. You can completely count on every aspect being consistently excellent. The service is always friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt. The food is fantastic. My issue is that there is a dish I love so much - gnocchi with Gorgonzola dolce - that I have a hard time choosing any other entree. Nice, reasonably priced wine and beer selection. Really, you can’t go wrong here; it’s going to make you happy.

This is a locals place in the Napa Valley. Excellent preparation of Northern Italian inspired recipes. Good selection and pricing on wines. Chicken entree is outstanding as many pasta and risotto dishes. Fish entrees never disappoints.

Cook was a great meal with great service. It is a smaller space so a bit cramped, but the servers were great at navigating the space and making it feel more spacious. The food was really great, we had the best butternut squash soup I've ever had! It was my husband's 50th and the meal felt like a celebration of where we were and what we were eating.

Had such a fine meal back in Feb 2019, we made sure to set up lunch at Cook when we returned to NValley with our friends. Sure enough, they loved Cook as much as we do! The excellent prosciutto/arugula salad, the sublime gnocchi, the cavatelli alla'arrabbiata, the short rib with mashed potatoes - all were fabulous. The cream of mushroom soup had deep, rich mushroom taste, unlike most places give you. Desserts were lovely, coffee is strong, and service is excellent. One of the great restaurants and often overlooked in favor of the flashy new hipster places that are not half so good as Cook.

The pasta was some of the best pasta we have had. Perfectly cooked cavatelli and gnocchi with amazing sauces.

The fried calamari was perfectly cooked but ultimately not nearly as exciting as the pasta. Get the pasta.

Also, the bathrooms could use a vacancy indicator.

We cannot wait to come back and try other pastas on the menu.

We were there late afternoon so it was pretty empty and quiet. I could see it being noisy if it were full. The food was very good. I'd go back.

This place has a nice modern feel to it. The staff is friendly and very relaxed. Sometimes may lag a bit but still very accommodating. Food is excellent and portions we're reasonable. I would absolutely go back if I’m in the area and make sure to get the mussels with sausage! It is to die for!

I have been a patron of Cook St. Helena for many years, and the place only gets better and better!

Cook is where the veteran locals dine, and for good reason. The pasta bolognese is world class, and the delicate, tender and flavorful short rib with irresistible chive/garlic mashed potatoes should be designated
as a historical landmark of the Napa Valley food scene.

Don't hesitate; just make reservations and go! (Good advice: Reserve well ahead, as seating is limited.)

Loved the space. Server was very nice and did a fine job. My only comment would be almost immediately after ordering the food arrived and all courses came so quickly we were on the curb in an hour. Some guests might like that but our group thought we might like to have taken a moment between bites.

The servers seemed a bit over it. They gave my boyfriend his main pasta with our appetizers as a mistake and so the whole meal was just kind of rushed and they didn’t seem to care.

Cook is a lovely place for locals and visitors. Very small, with a tight focus on northern Italian cuisine and an interesting wine list of imported and local wine. Not fancy, but thoughtful and highly recommended.

We really enjoyed this place, and the food was top notch! I had the daily risotto dish, which was with mushrooms, butternut squash and shrimp. If it were appropriate to lick the plate, I may have done so! I will say that the service when we initially arrived was pretty slow. The restaurant was not crowded, but it took more than 7 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us after we sat, even for water. Our waiter finally came and we asked if we could please get some water and he said sure, but it was another 10 before that happened and we had just come from the mud baths, so were parched! That was a little disconcerting. But otherwise, food was amazing.

We wanted to take my Mother-in-Law out for her Birthday and we wanted a cozy place with good food and we were not disappointed. The food was wonderful as always as well as the service. We finished up and luckily I booked it through Open Table. My Mother-in-law was leaving the next day and she unbeknownst to us dropped her wallet. Jeremy our waiter called us after we had left and held the wallet for us. Excellent food and Service from start to finish.
