It was real disappointing. Food was bad. Service bad.
Small portions for exorbitant cost. Our waiter had to be reminded several times to take our order and never returned to check on what was needed.
All in all, I would not spend the money for this experience.
As usual, this restaurant does not disappoint!! We love coming here because of the ambiance and fantastic food! The wine prices are very reasonable and the views are beautiful! We also have a special place in our heart for this restaurant since we had our wedding reception here. Will be back again soon!
We had a great night at Coohills! Our server was so fun and the food was delicious. We will be back for sure!!
Great service and well executed dishes for all four of us! Excellent value and some nice choices on the well put together wine list.
Had a wonderful time catching up with old friends. Griff was a fantastic waiter. That is always important to me. He was terrific! Will go again for sure! Food was on spot! Loved it!
WE had not dined at Coohills for over a year. The food was great and the service was personable but not efficient. We were so sorry to see that the dining area was confined to a very limited space compared to what we had been used to. Even though the food was very good, the prices were not in keeping with the limited environment. Our hope is that they can attract more of the clientele that we knew at their beginning. We will go back at intervals to see how things have improved and hope they will be able to continue. It is a lovely setting with good food.
I have had good experiences in the past, but this experience was horrible! I ordered food to find out an hour later that they were out. It was roughly 1.5 hours before I got my food and then they waived a round of drinks on my $250!!!! I looked like an idiot in front of my table already for recommending this place, we were late to the concert, which is why I didn't continue to dispute the bill! I won't be going back.
I have been to Coohills many times (almost always before a Pepsi Center event) and never experienced the poor service as this visit. Had to repeatedly ask for water, plates, where our drinks were. At times, actually had to go look for server. And then it took 20 minutes to get a check (and when it came, it was wrong). Also, despite advertising daily Happy Hours, the hostess said they were not doing it because of a concert at the Pepsi Center. 1) If you don't have HH every time there is concert at Pepsi Center, then don't advertise daily HH. 2) If you change your policy and don't do HH on certain nights, then inform people when they make a reservation.
We couldn't have been happier:). This was a suprise treat for my girlfriend for the Pink show that was happening that night. Our waitress was a lovely. I forgot her name but remember she use to work for Disney. She was on point with it all. It was going to be a busy night for her and I am sure she rocked it:). Will come back again and the Team approach with everyone from the hostess that greeted up to the servers that brought out our food:).
Gina and Barbie:)
Anniversary dinner that was pleasantly surprising. The food was spectacular, every dish made perfectly. Such great flavor combinations with better service. This is absolutely an amazing restaurant and is becoming our favorite in Denver!
The service was outstanding! Entrees & desserts... amazing!
The staff really cares and it shows. The owner came out and personally greeted the table and he is a super nice guy. We will return and I can see this as a great place to go before a game at the Pepsi Center.
Took my mom for her birthday. Parking was easy. From apps and cocktails to dessert and coffee the food was fresh, tasty, and artful. The service was great. They really made you feel like family. Shout out to Skylar, the best bar manager in the biz! Give Coohills a try. You will be happy you did.
We had dinner twice in the last month. Once for a friend's 50th birthday party for 26 people and once for our anniversary dinner for 2. For The birthday party, we were in the Wine Room which was very private and our guests were able to walk around and mingle without disturbing other guests in the restaurant. The owner, Diane made menu recommendations and helped with all with arrangements ahead of time. Dinner and the service was as promised. All our guests were served quickly and on time. Both visits, dinner was incredible! You have to try their salmon and their signature Baumaniere Potatoes. The birthday cake was out of this world. The staff was very accommodating and they gave us VIP treatment. Ryan, our waiter for both visits goes over and beyond. I highly recommend Coohills. They truly make sure your special occasion feel special.
The delicious five course vegan dinner with excellent wine pairings was outstanding. Chef Jason Brown obviously gave this menu thoughtful consideration. Along with his verbal description and perfect presentation the food was truly amazing. We loved it and will return soon.
Duke to a special event, the dining room was not available. A booth in the bar area proved to be acceptable. Our second visit to this restaurant was just fine. Good food, well served and we left with good feelings!
$35 chicken was terrible, not cooked well, very hard to even get the meat to come off of the bone. This place is overpriced and the food was extremely sub-par. If I eat here again, it would be too soon.
Excellent dining experience from charcuterie, drinks, wine pairings and entree.
Honestly I had higher hopes for Coohills. My boyfriend and I planned our Friday evening dinner date here this past week. While the server was friendly, she was obviously over-worked (was also serving a large party in a different room), and so we found her to be rather inattentive. When she couldn't get to us in a reasonable time, she sent the bartender to take our order, and while he was nice, he was also brand new and had difficulty describing the dishes and answering our questions about the menu. While the food at Coohills is good, we thought overall it seemed over-priced. We are both admitted foodies... so nothing completely blew us away. In addition, there was just a strange crowd there on Friday evening, several very drunk people at the bar and their conversations were not exactly what we wanted to overhear during our dinner. Honestly, probably will not be booking another date night at Coohills because it was just not the experience we had hoped for.
Simply Amazing. Our hats off to Tom and Diane for bringing their Atlanta success to Denver. Thank you! The meal was nothing short of spectacular. The little touches, the great cocktails and attentive service from Tiffany and Skyler were worth every dining minute and dining dollar.
Great food and great ambience. I will go again.
Great food in a very pleasant setting
Griff was our waiter and was wonderful!!
We are regular visitors to Coohill's, but this past visit on a slow Monday night (no events at Pepsi Center) was a step up even for this wonderful establishment. We welcomed my wife's boss from out of town and Trish, Tom, and the whole staff treated us with amazing charm, fun, and attention to detail. Thanks all for again proving how good you can be!
Loved this place, great food and service!
Best restaurant week ever! The value for restaurant week was great! It was the perfect amount of food and each bite was equally delicious. The menu was creative and I will be back for regular dinner service for sure. HIGHLY recommend the oysters!!!
Coohills is always A++++
I think it is one of a kind dining experience
Thank you Tom
We went during Restaurant Week and found the food and service to be wonderful. It is a warm comfortable atmosphere and we were surprised by what a gourmet experience it was. Everything was excellent. I would recommend it!
The ambiance and decor here at Coohills is amazing, definitely high end and definitely swanky. The food is good however my wife and I felt that all the dishes could've benefited from some salt. The charcuterie plate was a great value and the bread with whipped butter is phenomenal. The service was a bit slow, not enough to complain but enough for me to check my watch and wonder what was going on. It was a bit disheartening to see the table next to us get their entrees the same time we did even though we were seated probably 30 minutes before they were. We were here for restaurant week and I'm not sure if I would go back for the regular menu but Coohills is definitely worth checking out once.
We went to Coohills for Denver resultant week. The crab cake was wonderful! As were the salmon and duck confit. But the chicken schnitzel and short rib were even better.
The bread pudding was the best we have ever had!
This was our second visit to Coohills and the first visit for Denver Restaurant Week. The food was great! I thoroughly enjoyed the seafood dishes that were served (oysters, crab cake, salmon, and market fish). However, the salmon portions were veeeerrry small (three little bites). I'm assuming the portions will be larger when it's not Restaurant Week. The service was very attentive.
Lovely menu during restaurant week. We substituted crab cakes for first course; well worth it.
My wife and I and our daughter and Son in Law tried Coohills for the 1st time during restaurant week and were very impressed! The food was amazing and the ambiance just as good. Very good service even though the place was very busy! We will be back!!!
We got married here 3 years ago and love to get back. The owners Tom (head chef) and Diane are absolutely delightful and make every experience we have at Coohill’s unforgettable. Bill the GM is the nicest guy you’ll ever meet. Their staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The food & drinks are always divine. Whether you’re considering Coohill’s for a date night or wedding, it’ll be a spectacular experience. Highly recommended!
Awesome place: great ambiance, great service, delicious food. It was our first visit (and during Denver Restaurant week) and we will be back!
My all time favorite French restaurant in Denver!! The food is always absolutely amazing and the service is never lacking. Great food, great ambiance, amazing experience.
No mention of regular menu not being served. Only option was bar food, hot olives and cheese pizza... so romantic. Rude service, host was a joke, complete failure of service. I found it partially funny that considering our experience the male owner spent time speaking to everyone in the bar but us. Total waste of money.
Had the Valentines Day tasting menu. The standouts were the Branzino and the Scallops but every course was fantastic. The wine pairing was a must and we discovered a Chardonnay from Santa Barbara that simply blew us away. They even topped off our glass because the next course was taking longer than usual.
Service was top notch. Our server felt like our new best friend by the end of the night. We will definitely return and highly recommend it to anyone else.
Great food, service could have been much more. When ya force servers to tell ya what they putting down in front of ya it’s not good!
