Great service. Food is amazing! The whole experience was above expectation.
We've been dining here since they opened and it keeps getting better. Service and ambience (especially outside) are great and everything is delicious. The best value is splitting the half chicken - only $24, comes with great sides and sauces, and such a generous portion that we couldn't eat it all. Other favorites are the steak, pastas, focaccia and mercado salad. There are many great restaurants in Santa Barbara and Montecito but this is our favorite go-to for any occasion.
Excellent food combined with good service and a beautiful setting.
Had a wonderful Mother’s Day brunch/lunch outside. All four in our party loved their meals. Service was excellent.
Great food. Great service. Such a pretty patio. We celebrated a graduation. The server knew the menu well and recommended amazing options!
Took visiting family here for dinner and they loved it - and so did I!
Great flatbread pizza and view!!!
My ricotta ravioli with crab was very oily and the lamb was burnt on the outside and raw on the inside. The wine-by-the glass options were limited and not good. We tried two. They offered wine-on-tap—cheap for such a high-priced restaurant. Most surprising was that the food was brought to the table within a few minutes of ordering. Was it made ahead of time? For the price we paid ($130 for two) we were surprised that a basket of bread wasn’t included. Dessert was average—overly rich and overly sweet. A year ago the restaurant was excellent. What happened?
Food is excellent. Pizzas made with fresh ingredients, we ordered a salad with beet, kale, goat cheese... awesome! Ask for it, you need to try.
Charming as a small European hotel, welcoming outdoor patio and lovely indoor seating, Convivo has grown to have what we think is the best 'fancy' food in Santa Barbara, in terms of ingenuity, ingredients, portions and flavor. Hands down over The Lark and all its sibling restaurants and not as pricey or stingy. This is the place to take family and friends as we get back to 'normal'!
The approach, service, and food was great.
Excellent meal and ambiance, not to mention service!
It was sad that this once great restaurant we've had excellent dinners at didn't live up to its former self.
I knew things were off to a bad start when we arrived and the hostess looked like she had pajamas on. Our very nice and friendly waiter couldn't describe most of the items we inquired about. What we did order, beet salad was ok but overly dressed. The Pesce Listo was overcooked except for the very rare ahi which some people don't like. the grilled parts of it, Octopus, had a strange almost liquid smoke taste to them, this same flavor marred the lamb chops I ordered. And they were of poor quality, a lot of fat, not much meat, and that weird taste. The comp dessert was great, a lemon tart. Maybe because it was a Monday night things were off.
Birthday fun with great friends .. good food great service great drinks lots of fun
My wife and I were staying in a nearby hotel and did not feel like going back to State Street to find dinner. After a quick map search, I found Convivo only a short distance from our hotel and with good reviews. We booked early and sat outside. It was a little breezy and cool on the patio, but we're still not ready for indoor dining. For dinner, we ordered pasta Bolognese and a Soppresata pizza, with a mixed green salad for a starter. The salad was a surprising mix of vegetables and lettuce with a champagne vinegerette dressing that was excellent. We had plenty of time to finish our salad before our mains arrived. They arrived hot and looked great. The Bolognese was served with large wide noodles that looked and tasted homemade. The sauce was excellent. The pizza was also good. The crust was thin, but not tough. The pizza sauce was spicy, topped with salami and arugula, and a bit of cheese. Very tasty and more than enough for one person. The service throughout dinner was excellent. Attentive without being over bearing or feeling rushed. For a hotel-based restaurant, this was a very good meal and I would go back again. The cost was $100+ for two with wine. Maybe not Thursday night pickup, but a not overly expensive date meal.
One of my favorite restaurants in SB and first time back since it re-opened. The food was just as amazing as before and the service was excellent as always.
Appetizers were outstanding. The half chicken could be shared.
The staff is incredible at this restaurant and front desk!!!! They obviously have been Ritz-Carlton trained!!!! The only thing I can say is the booths are low class for such a high class restaurant!!! You need to put tables with white table cloths everywhere for a classy look, not booths like your in a IHOP!!! Match your decor to your well trained incredibly professional staff!!!
We had a great experience here for dinner. The staff was friendly, the service attentive and the food absolutely delicious. The lamb meatballs were so good we almost ordered more (but were too full!). We ordered multiple appetizers (lamb meatballs, asparagus, beet salad, charcoal shrimp and pesce crudo), all of them were terrific with the exception of the charcoal shrimp which were just good. We also had the jamon pizza and an order of bucatini. The pizza was yummy and the bucatini was perfectly al dente and coated in a delicious red sauce punctuated with lovely bursts of a salty prosciutto-type meat. Definitely plan to go back!
Delicious food...excellent waiter. due to Covid outside dining a little noisy and heaters we’re provided
Wonderful food, nice waiter, noisy couple arguing in the next table.
Just fabulous. Glad that these great restaurants have survived 2020. Food and service was great.
Innovative and incredible menu selections...a must try!
Hitting it out of the park these days! Service was good and the food was outstanding.
Always great! Stephanie and the team did a great job! Food was off the charts. Oso Buco a ten! Happy this place is here in Santa Barbara, As it feels like a weekend in Europe.
Absolutely our favorite place to dine in Santa Barbara. Top notch service, the best flavors, and creative dishes. Daniella was a fantastic server and Miguel an efficient servers assistant. Looking forward to our next visit already.
Diana was excellent
Excellent variety of flavors and beautiful presentation!
Amazing ambience . Great setting, food and experience overall! I really enjoyed the food.
Convivo was highly recommended, but when we went there we left disappointed. The seafood platter we ordered was rather overcooked, and the place is expensive, being across the street from the beach area in Santa Barbara. The mgmt. was kind enough to give us a discount as a result of mediocre food, to their credit. I don't think we'll be back.
Loved it. Menu, food, wine list, service, and environment were all wonderful (and I’m a tough grader!)
Great spot! Food is wonderful and presented so nicely!
The outdoor spaces are great, the food and flavor combinations are very unique, thoroughly enjoyed it.
Excellent location and massive portions. Service was great except for the last part where the server left us hanging with the bill and we had to go and find him. Overall s great place and would highly recommend it for brunch (what we went for)
The best upscale restaurant and beach view in Santa Barbara
The staff was so kind and accommodating! They were helpful, informative, and friendly!
Fabulous place for dinner
Great service and delicious food
Amazing ambience, but the food flavors were not balanced in my opinion. Some ingredients just do not go well together.
Beautiful views with unique and artful offerings, and wonderful service.
Lamb bolognese was excellent. Flat bread pizza was also very good.
