    Father and daughter owners spread a little love with every meal—their love of good Italian wine, delicacies from their native Abruzzo region in Italy, and a desire for every visitor to their quaint North Beach spot to enjoy both the food and the visit. Lamb skewers were top notch, as was their deconstructed eggplant dish over couscous. Sooo good! We will be back on our next visit to the area :)

    Phenomenal food and high quality service. The staff were extremely hospitable and engaging. Definitely one of the best hidden gems in SF and one of the best Italian restaurants in town.

    Cute spot tucked along Green in North Beach. We went after seeing "Dear San Francisco " nearby at Club Fugazi and it was the perfect way to end a truly San Francisco evening. Food and wine were all delicious!

    Such a gem! Excellent food and wine, and woman-owned. The owner's dad, who grew up in Abruzzo, is a wine expert and will tell you all about the various wines and regions of Italy. Good prices and portions too.

    We had their pasta and it was fantastic. The other dish was so so. Overall a great little place for a quick bite and a glass of wine. Excellent, friendly service.

    Everything is excellent. We ordered lots of items. Lamb, octopus, savory cannoli, bruschetta, all delicious. The menu is very good. Plenty of variety. Wine selection is above par. Beautiful place. Wonderful staff. Perfect in every way.

    Convivium is a unique San Francisco treasure. The Scarpone family’s deep roots in the food and wine traditions of Italy make for an authentic and personal dining experience. The enoteca offers a delightful selection of wines from small producers you won’t find elsewhere. Lorenzo is always happy to share his knowledge of fine wines and makes his guests feel welcome.     This new North Beach spot is a gem. In addition to a wonderful wine selection, with many by the glass, the food is really good, surprisingly good for a wine bar. The tufted banquets are comfortable and elegant and the owners are on site, knowledgeable and very hospitable. This is a great addition to the neighborhood.

    For a new business I was genuinely surprised that the service was nigh non-existent. We were the only table, ordered only entrees, no drinks. There were 3 servers by the bar. Bill with tip for pasta for2,was $60. We tried to order a dessert,but from the 5 on the menu, they “ran out”. How does a brand new empty restaurant run out of lemon custard?? I highly doubt they will last more than a month. We were there an hour and a half, with no drinks or dessert. Just pasta.

    Wonderful small Italian restaurant. You almost feel like being in central/south Italy Lorenzo and the rest of the staff are great. The wine selection and quality are among the best I have seen in SF. The “polipo” is just perfect and the pasta alla catanese a delicious balance of flavor Highly recommend… just don’t book all the tables otherwise I can’t find one for when I want to enjoy the experience again
