ConVino Wine Bar
We had a great time thanks to our server who knew a lot about wine and helped us choose a bottle that went well with what we ordered to eat. Delicious food and a great bottle 👌 of wine made a romantic date.
The wait staff was fantastic, the small plates were perfect for what we wanted, and the wines were thoughtfully selected. Overall, we had a great evening. We will be returning when we are in the area.
Lovely location with great service, wine selection, and knowledgable staff. Outdoor seating in summer months is great and they have live music occasionally. Fun for a quick drink with friends or a long meal. One of my favorite special occasion places for groups that want to share great food, drinks, and conversation.
Many thanks to all the staff at ConVino, especially our excellent server, for a fantastic night out the first Saturday in December. Their care and kindness are very much appreciated.
The wine was great, and server knew what to recommend. We also ejoyed our dinner very much. The hangar steak was quite good. Definitely recommend.
We loved our dinner at ConVino. The food was exceptional, and the wine list is incredible. Half pours allow you to try different wines, and the bar/waitstaff will help you find the right pairing. Excellent experience - we will be back!
My 80 year old mother lives nearby, and this an ideal location for us to take her out
Bartender was fantastic. Gave personalized recommendations. So knowledgeable.
Perfect atmosphere for a date.. excellent food in just right portions and love the live music!
Excellent selection of wines by the glass and small plates/tapas. Salads were terrific. Also enjoyed lamb meatballs and a flatbread. The Spanish guitarist was the frosting on the cake. A wonderful meal.
Outstanding, well-curated wine list. The menu is interesting with small to medium plates that are good for sharing and sampling a variety of dishes.
Fun place with excellent service for a group of six.
The food was overpriced. I had lemon parmesan risotto, which neither tasted like lemon nor parmesan. I got it with steak, which cost an extra $12. It was so over cooked and tough. I almost just put in aside but since I otherwise had a small plate of tasteless risotto I decide to eat it. I have rarely met a wine I didn’t like and was surprised that both the ones I had there were wines I didn’t like. It was overall meh.
Excellent selection of cheeses and cured meats. Awesome selection of wines by the glass. Comfortable surroundings. Nice to find a restaurant that doesn't super-size every meal. Very tasty food!
We had a nice time and will definitely return for another visit. There is a good atmosphere inside and we enjoyed sampling from a large portion of the menu. I did feel it was a bit overpriced - especially the desserts for the portion size. I think it’ll be a great stop for an a drink and appetizer before heading elsewhere or an after dinner drink.
Good food , great vino choices , right ambiance.
A tad on the expensive side but it was a good experience overall.
The food was fine. The service was not attentive. Didn’t ask how our meal was. Didn’t check on us. She was nice too. But didn’t even clean our plates from one course to another. Would not go back. Not worth the money. Small portions.
We had a great meal for New Year's Eve. My wife had the wine pairings with her meal and was pleased with the entire experience. Nice atmosphere and service. Would definitely come back for another special occasion.
We love the atmosphere and the decor of this wine bar. We came for a dinner and was disappointed that the servings were so small. The food is good, but not for the money they charge.
Friendly service with good food and excellent wine list.
Two couples met here as we all enjoy wine and heard that Con Vino had a nice wine selection. Not only is the wine selection wonderful so is the meats and cheese selection. We shared French Mussels and Greek Mussels for an appetizer (absolutely wonderful). For the main course I had the Filet Mignon and it was tasty and perfectly prepared! My wife had the hanger steak and she said it was wonderful BUT not as good as my filet mignon. Our friends had the lamb burger and fish and they were very happy with their meals. The portions are small for America but traditional for Europe and more than adequate. We enjoyed the service as well as the atmosphere and for a Saturday night the restaurant was not loud so it made it easy to enjoy great food and wine and to be able to talk with friends. I will absolutely come back, again and again...
We stopped by this restaurant on our way home from a trip and hope we can make it back here some day. We had the roast beef sandwich, butternut squash soup, and arugula salad. The food was truly excellent, even the bread that was served with the soup was great. I usually like butter on bread and this bread didn't need anything, excellent. The only thing that may put some off is you don't get the huge portions that most restaurants serve.
My husband and I really enjoyed our meal. Unfortunately, at seven o'clock on a Saturday you have to expect some noise if you're seated near the bar, and we had a large crowd of people standing next to us, enjoying their wine. Also our server must have been very busy, as she forgot some of our order, one of our cheeses came out wrong and she never checked in to apologise, she never asked if we wanted more drinks, and she dropped our check without asking if we wanted desert or coffee. That being said, she was very pleasant and we had a nice evening.
Overall quite nice, but my and my daughter's steaks were both exceedingly salty. We brought this to the waiter's attention but no remedies were offered at all. I would definitely send back if this ever were to happen again. I felt this represented a poor showing by the restaurant. But otherwise the ambiance and the other food was good.
We had eaten there the week before and he steaks were excellent that time, I should add. We just got a bad dinner this time.
We found this gem through Open Table. Our server was very helpful and the food did not disappoint! I would definitely return.
We had a wonderful meal and the service was very helpful. We opted for a tapas-style meal ordering different small plates 1-2 at a time. They were all delicious and we were able to get good wine matches for each. We were very impressed.
I went to ConVino with a colleague and a visiting alumnus of the university where I teach. We enjoyed a couple glasses of wine and ordered some small plates and a cheese and charcuterie platter. Service was attentive without being intrusive, and the food was good (you can order small plates or a full meal). The wine list is the main attraction: carefully chosen, with a broad range of options by the glass as well as bottle. The folk musician playing live was talented and not too loud. It was a Monday evening, so things might be livelier on other days. I had a delightful time and will be back again.
Sat outside, quiet square, but the view is a parking lot. Really interesting wine flight. The moules frites were outstanding. Spanakopita also good. Nice cheese selection.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at ConVivo Wine Bar. We sat at the bar where the bar tender took great care of us. He even indulged my request to try 3 reds before making my selection. They had a nice array of starters and we tried several of the Mediterranean spreads with warm Pita wedges and a generous dish of Marconi Almonds. My dining companion had a slice of Spanikopita while I had a few of their slightly too spicy lamb riblets. Food, pretty good, Ambiance better.
Excellent! So glad we found this place. Food was great. Service excellent. Wine choices appropriate. Classic guitar playing.
Our dining experience at ConVino could not have been more enjoyable or leisurely. The service was friendly and accommodating. The sommelier was extremely helpful in assisting us to choose a delicious wine for our meal. Definitely don't be afraid to ask for her help. We enjoyed a to-die-for cheese plate and two perfectly prepared filet mignons. The place has a relaxed but authentic French flair.
A lovely little wine bar, great, simple food in a warm environment. Incredibly knowledgeable and friendly staff.
We were a party of 11, with several kids. Caroline couldn't have been nicer in arranging our two tables, and the server was excellent,as was the food.
We loved the rustic atmosphere. The food was amazing... recommend the fancy fries, cheeses, and dips.
We were here late evening after battling the traffic of UMass Commencement and just LOVED it! The candlelit yet casual ambiance was perfect. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable. Our group of 7 enjoyed sharing and savoring a few delicious (smallish) appetizers, then had our main dish. A wonderful evening!
Our waiter was very nice, and personable and they had a decent wine list. We enjoyed the appetizers although on the very small side. Everyone in our party ordered steak except for one who ordered the lamb burger. Across the board everyone's meal was heavily salted, they were nice cuts of meat, but almost to the point of being inedible. The place is very cute and cozy, I think possibly the chef or whoever prepared the steaks had way to much of a heavy hand.
It's a little pricy, and the cheese portions are rather small. That being said, all the food was delicious. My 2 friends and I shared a few starters, some cheese, and a few of their flatbreads. And we each had two glasses of wine. All together, the bill was about $150.
Tasty, recommended for a night out once in awhile, but a bit too expensive for a regular venue.
A nice adult place to sip and try out good wine and converse with friends. Tasty appetizers and small plates to accompany your wine.
We had a nice assortment of plates for a very reasonable price, and managed to stay completely vegetarian. We particularly enjoyed the brussels sprouts salad and the special seared radicchio. Our waitress gave good wine recommendations, and the cheese plate was thoughtfully put together. A cozy and fun evening on a cold winter night!
