Great ambiance and food was wonderful too. Our server was very prompt and polite. The restaurant has a really nice vibe. Go early to deal with parking. Overall a great spot.
Because we know that most places are short staffed and the service industry is having a hard time we gave Conversation 20 minutes before we started to wonder what was up. But THREE tables all walked in after us and immediately were greeted by servers. When we tried to get someone’s attention we, not 1 of the 4 servers, hostess, or manager on duty decided that we should be helped. Literally the worst service we have had living in Seattle. Felt discriminated against for literally no reason. Would never ever choose to go back. Worst service ever
Sat at the bar and it was a great vibe as we started our evening with cocktails and appetizers here. Wild mushroom flatbread was really good as was the truffle fries. Would definitely be back again to try dinner entrees and their cocktails.
Loved their lox eggs Benedict. Such a good muffin and loved it with their lox/cold smoked salmon. Bloody Mary's were just okay. Would go back for the eggs Benedict, but not the Bloody Mary
We had a fabulous dinner at Conversation! The sommelier was so helpful and gave us great wine recs around the area and played a fun wine trivia game with us, we had a blast. The pork collar was perfect and my partner got teary eyed over the black cod. It was a great way to kick off our trip in Seattle!
Our server seemed to be very inexperienced and couldn’t give any recommendations on the menu. Instead of letting us see the drink menu she just kept coming by and saying “another one?!” and before we could respond she’d speed off. We felt the food was very bland and flavorless, and the overall vibe was odd- we had a reservation and liked our table but a walk-in 2 top came in at the same time and got sat intimately close to us when other seats were available to them. Overall, very meh. 2 stars for all facets.
Food arrived look warm.
I have eaten there before. The experience was outstanding.
It was a birthday breakfast and we wanted to be near the market. They exceeded our expectations with perfectly made smoked eggs Benedict’s and great service. We will definitely be back. I did a Yelp review because I want people to know how great that team is.
Service was great. Wine is limited. Cod was not at all like described. Appetizers were all very good.
Wife & I had a blast.
We’ve lost two of our favorite downtown restaurants in the last year, so it was a delight to find Conversation, just after it opened! The shaved kohlrabi salad was delightful with a fragrant, subtle dressing and the pork collar was prepared excellently, tender and tasty. The portions were not too large so we were able to also enjoy dessert. We look forward to returning soon.
My daughter and I came this morning and never was approached by any server. The hostess there was gracious enough to get our drink orders going then continued to get our meals ordered since we still had not been approached by a server. Excellent service by the amazing hostess!!
It’s was nice to eat in a restaurant again and food was great! Service was quick and they got my order with a slight modification correct!
Enjoyed brunch here on a Sunday in March, it was quiet (coronavirus was keeping people away from many places) which was a shame as this is a very good eatery. The brunch deal is terrific value - two meals from a selection with a carafe of mimosa. The server was friendly and helpful and meals were served quickly. The location is handy to Pike Place.
Very good food. Great service.
Great place with good vibe, fantastic for conversations!
Hi Garima, I am glad you enjoyed the vibe. Guests like yourself are what make it all possible. We hope to see you again soon! Best, Conversation Management
The food was amazing, much better than anticipated! The pork gnocchi was especially amazing and I'd go back just for that. The scallops, short rib, and cocktails were also wonderful, as well as the service. The prices are kind of high, but they have the food to back it up.
Hi Brady! Thank you so much for your feedback about your experience. Server was great!

Food and service was great. I had the mad Hatcher chicken and half dozen oysters both were excellent. I had a taste of the gnocchi from my friends plate and it was to die for.
Excellent foodie quality place in hotel with open kitchen and open floor plan

First : arrived at 920 for our 930 Reservation that was held under $90 if we weren’t able to keep it.
The salad was so bitter and was lacking the shaved fruits to balance the harsh flavor with something sweet.
The risotto and crab cakes were decent.
The filet was okay.
The chocolate cake was nothing special.
Overall very disappointed in the service/value for a $350 dinner. Wouldn’t return, couldn’t recommend.
A romantic fireside table for Valentine’s Day.
Excellent four course dinner paired with champagne.
Service was outstanding and the food and drinks and delicious.
My boyfriend and I ate dinner for the first time at Conversation on Valentine's Day. I made reservations via Open Table and looked at the menu on that site. I didn't see if Open Table stated there was a special Valentine's Day pre-set meal (if they did it wasn't obvious). I thought the regular menu looked amazing but when getting there we saw that it was pre-set. The set price was $90/person which didn't bode well with me since I thought we would eat from their regular meal. While the food was great, I wasn't expecting to pay $90/person for dinner that night so to me it didn't seem like it was worth $90. That being said, everything I ate was prepared well and tasty. Also, I asked our waiter what entree he liked best and he said they were all good. I like to hear their opinions and descriptions of the food. Maybe they don't allow the waiters to try anything and he didn't want to tell us that.
Very disappointing. Incredibly expensive for very average food on the Valentines Fixed menu and one bottle of wine. The service seemed to get worse with each course. Won’t be returning.
Worst dining experience of my life as far as service goes. Didn’t even get to try the food after 1.5 hours of waiting on an appetizer and being treated by rude staff, we decided to just eat elsewhere because we were so hungry.
Definitely never coming back here. Staff really need some customer service training. Nobody ever came to check on us to see who we were doing or even apologize for the delay. We had to hunt down workers to find out when our appetizer will be ready after waiting for 1.5 hours. And would get a rude snarky response from the manager “well we’re working on it”. McDonald’s has better customer service and this is supposed to be a very nice restaurant.
The setting was great, the wait staff also perfect. I had read some negative reviews so was a little nervous. I really enjoyed the food and the whole experience.
Everything from the food and drinks to the service was wonderful. Will be going back.
Excellent service. Food was delicious and portions were a good size for an upscale restaurant.
Over charged us
This was some of the slowest service we have experienced in Seattle. Food was ok, but the time for order/drinks/dinner etc was awful. Do not recommend.
To start… delicious. My entree featuring black cod was the best prepared fish I've ever tasted. The attention to detail in the presentation of each course left us feeling how much pride the chefs feel about their craft. Service met the chef's performance and was also exceptional.
The restaraunt at the bottom of the Thompson hotel had a sexy modern, after-hours vibe. The service was great (note the 20% gratuity already added to the bill). The food was delicious, with small sharable portions. The wine menu was the biggest dissapointment - only PNW options (Washington to Northern California) and the prices were grossly inflated. $40 for a 5oz poor of a local wine from 2017?? I prefer paying those prices for an earlier vintage from France or Italy. My party of 4 considered sharing a bottle but with everything totalling $85+ just didn't feel worth it.
The experience was exquisite and exceeded our expectations. Our server was amazing, kind, and helpful. Every course got better and better hats off to chef and a great restaurant team. One of my new favorite spots!
Excellent food and ambiance in the center of Seattle. I have short ribs - possibly the best and the most tender I have in a long time. It came with roasted mushrooms and broccoli - incredible combination. My waiter was very attentive and served with a smile and professionalism. Would highly recommend the restaurant.
A really great meal in a hotel restaurant! It is possible!
The starters were great. However, the main course (mine a s my wife's) was really salty, almost to the point of us not being able to eat. The only reason we did not send back was because it took SO long between the starter and main course to get to our table. We were late to the Symphony because they took so long to prepare the food...
Our water glasses kept running empty too, and we kept having to ask for more water. Why not just leave the water bottle in our table already?
In all due respect, we ordered a very simple breakfast, so culinary swag was not expected. However, everything was delicious and precisely as ordered. This is a real gem of a find for tourists staying in the area as well as those who are in the Pike Place area in-between appointments/visiting with friends or associates because you can have a good conversation in this place. The atmosphere is open, but not at all noisy, and cozy without too much intimacy. I really liked this place and will find a reason to come back.
Conversation was wonderful! We were there for Saturday brunch and the offerings were amazing! The slab bacon, Eggs Benedict, the roasted potatoes were exceptional, but the star of the meal was their, truly, house made Bloody Mary. The list of ingredients is noteworthy and the taste is phenomenal! Or server, Mika, was attentive, knowledgeable, personable and efficient. Mika was also a most adept mixologist! An absolutely wonderful experience!!!
New Year’s Eve!
