Delicious food. I had the calamari salad and my daughter and friend had the lobster Mac and cheese. The portions are large. The Mac and cheese could have easily been shared. We also shared the French onion dumplings. They are amazing.
We had brunch here and I found the food lacking and over priced. I had the smoked salmon hash. It had hardly any salmon in the hash and was mainly little bits of potatoes. My wife’s quesadilla was mostly black beans and eggs with little cheese. The seating is benches and these are awkward and tipsy. The noise level is loud and difficult to hear a conversation. And yes there is a double mirror looking into the restrooms; very creepy. I spoke to the host about it.
Great food as always
Great customer service! Jenna, our server, was awesome! My birthday dinner was delicious! I love this place!
Food was okay! Brussel sprouts were amazing. They were swamped so they forgot to give us plates for our food
Food was rich and delicious. Table on upper level was shaky and unstable. Blue upholstered benches were very unstable to sit upon. I think the look of the furniture was prioritized over functionality. Accident waiting to happen. No qualms with the food at all. Service was great until when we were trying to pay the bill and the staff seemed to disappear for a period of time
Loved it. Great drinks. Love the chocolate martini!! Can’t go wrong
Feels like a hip, updated diner concept. Not the massive menu of some diner’s but a broad range of choices for everyone. The shoestring potatoes were fun. Value was better than expected.
Great food and great service!!
Will return soon and will tell
All my friends.
Loud and a bit hectic, with service a bit stretched, Continental is a happening place. The food is good and plentiful, and of course that is a plus. Just temper expectations about having intimate conversations and attentive service.
I will be coming back , loved everything I had. I want to try more of the menu
Great! It’s a great value as most of the entrees are under $20
I have always had incredible experiences at all of the Starr Restaurants, but this visit was terrible. This is my second time eating here, last time was amazing. We ordered a turkey burger that came out raw. Before I ordered the chicken skewers I asked if it was entree size and was told yes (it wasn't). Although the peanut sauce was delicious, the chicken was pretty dry and overcooked. Our server was not friendly and attentive. When we sent the raw burger back she did nothing to try and make it right. I talked up Starr Restaurants to my friend who was visiting from out of town that accompanied me, and this visit made a fool of me. Totally subpar for a Starr Restaurant experience.
Everything was fantastic. It was a bit noisy but it didn’t spoil the fun!
Continental is always a good idea . One of our favs in the city food and service outstanding
we heard this was a great place to share and it was. The four of us ordered around eight items on the menu and each was very good. The waiter was attentive on a pretty busy night. A little noisy but our table was near the bar. Cant wait to go back and try some of the other menu items on this menu with a little oriental flair
Good food, interesting menu. Service was a little lacking and meals came with appetizers still on the table, but overall good experience.
still a hip place in philly. nice that they don't blast the music so you can actually have good sound level for conversations.
We had a good meal and the service was friendly and professional.
The food and service were wonderful!!
Service was impeccable and entertaining, food was delightful.
The manager was amazingly attentive of my food allergies!
Good mix of world flavors and the food was really good
I went to Continental Mid-town for brunch with friends. We had a great time and the service was good. We received our food in timely manner and it was hot. We enjoyed ours elves. The only strange thing was the bathrooms. The mirrors were see through. If you were washing your hands, people from the outside could see you without you knowing. Other than that, everything was good!
This is the classic fun-retro diner for a fun Sunday brunch... everything is great, drinks are low voltage for the price, they can infuse more booze in them. that's why I won't seat at the bar here, but if you want to eat and have a Bloody Mary , sure!
Two brunch order mistakes - gluten free order showed up with home fries (not gf) and bread on the plate with my omelet. My wife's order totally wrong. Right food came after others had finished. And here's the biggest complaint - no one apologized. Not the floor manager who passed us numerous times and not the gentleman who took the order. Food was good but the staff were awful.
Crispy Calamari salad was my favorite part of the meal. Great service. Not necessarily romantic, but a fun place to dine. Prices were similar to what you'd find in the Rittenhouse area with typical Philly high wine prices.
Super fun vibe , GREAT food, and awesome service. We were running about 15 minutes late due to parking and traffic issues, and they were very responsive when we called and held our table. The shared plates approach was perfect for a girl's night out. Will definitely go back.
High-priced average food and drinks. This was one of the only open table options and now I know why. Much better options in the city.
Great for birthdays. Awesome drinks. Lots of generous and shareable plates. You have to get the cheesesteak eggroll. They will even help you with bringing in an outside cake if you like. Would absolutely go here again.
Great eclectic designed restaurant. Engaging staff and different and excellent menu choices. Great martinis including my favorite Rye Manhattan. Highly recommend for a date or a special occasion.
I hadn’t been to Continental in years! Happy to be back. It was really a perfect evening. Great food ( loved my tuna tartar) and my son loved his steak. The side of Brussels sprouts was sooooo good. The booth was very comfortable and service was attentive without being annoying:)
Overall great for brunch. Our server missed some opportunities to ask if we wanted another drink and seemed to be rushing us from the table to finish existing drinks.
Our food was good and served hot. Nothing special, but not bad, either. Service was a bit slow, but generally okay.
We will not be returning. The noise level was intolerable. It was impossible to have a normal conversation at our table. Very uncomfortable.
What a fabulous night at the Continental. Everything from the ambiance, to the delicious food, to the service was top notch. Shout out to Joe and Caitlin for making our evening and first time at the Continental a memorable one. Thanks!
Just decided to try third place for dinner, had been fir brunch in the past. We both had nice mixed cocktails, one a rye, lemon, vermouth mix the other a vodka drink. Then followed by Udon noodle soup for me and chicken noodle for my wife. I liked my Udon more than she liked the chicken soup. The she had tikki masala and loved it. I had the unique cheesesteak egg roll, deliciously seasoned and spicy. No room for dessert, sat in the baskets that surround the upper level, very comfortable and nice views.
Food was good considering I was an out of town person and have not experienced much with other Philly restaurants.
Excellent menu, service and fun sharing food entrees
good atmosphere, good food, quick service, i would recommend this location
