Good food, interesting menu. Service was a little lacking and meals came with appetizers still on the table, but overall good experience.

I went to Continental Mid-town for brunch with friends. We had a great time and the service was good. We received our food in timely manner and it was hot. We enjoyed ours elves. The only strange thing was the bathrooms. The mirrors were see through. If you were washing your hands, people from the outside could see you without you knowing. Other than that, everything was good!
This is the classic fun-retro diner for a fun Sunday brunch... everything is great, drinks are low voltage for the price, they can infuse more booze in them. that's why I won't seat at the bar here, but if you want to eat and have a Bloody Mary , sure!
Two brunch order mistakes - gluten free order showed up with home fries (not gf) and bread on the plate with my omelet. My wife's order totally wrong. Right food came after others had finished. And here's the biggest complaint - no one apologized. Not the floor manager who passed us numerous times and not the gentleman who took the order. Food was good but the staff were awful.
Crispy Calamari salad was my favorite part of the meal. Great service. Not necessarily romantic, but a fun place to dine. Prices were similar to what you'd find in the Rittenhouse area with typical Philly high wine prices.
Super fun vibe , GREAT food, and awesome service. We were running about 15 minutes late due to parking and traffic issues, and they were very responsive when we called and held our table. The shared plates approach was perfect for a girl's night out. Will definitely go back.
High-priced average food and drinks. This was one of the only open table options and now I know why. Much better options in the city.
Great for birthdays. Awesome drinks. Lots of generous and shareable plates. You have to get the cheesesteak eggroll. They will even help you with bringing in an outside cake if you like. Would absolutely go here again.
Great eclectic designed restaurant. Engaging staff and different and excellent menu choices. Great martinis including my favorite Rye Manhattan. Highly recommend for a date or a special occasion.
I hadn’t been to Continental in years! Happy to be back. It was really a perfect evening. Great food ( loved my tuna tartar) and my son loved his steak. The side of Brussels sprouts was sooooo good. The booth was very comfortable and service was attentive without being annoying:)
Overall great for brunch. Our server missed some opportunities to ask if we wanted another drink and seemed to be rushing us from the table to finish existing drinks.
Our food was good and served hot. Nothing special, but not bad, either. Service was a bit slow, but generally okay.
We will not be returning. The noise level was intolerable. It was impossible to have a normal conversation at our table. Very uncomfortable.

Just decided to try third place for dinner, had been fir brunch in the past. We both had nice mixed cocktails, one a rye, lemon, vermouth mix the other a vodka drink. Then followed by Udon noodle soup for me and chicken noodle for my wife. I liked my Udon more than she liked the chicken soup. The she had tikki masala and loved it. I had the unique cheesesteak egg roll, deliciously seasoned and spicy. No room for dessert, sat in the baskets that surround the upper level, very comfortable and nice views.
Food was good considering I was an out of town person and have not experienced much with other Philly restaurants.

The food is fine dining and diner food meeting and it’s delicious! If you go here, you must try the French onion soup dumplings, they’re amazing!!
We enjoyed ourselves because of the atmosphere and we had a window seat. The menu choices were a bit anemic but the service was good. Table was dirty when we were seated. Yucky.

I had my first Cosmopolitan many, many moons ago at the original Continental. Always loved it there, then loved midtown even more (just because it’s more open, spacious).
The food is always great, the service always very warm, attentive, often lots of fun. We’ve always loved the cool vibe.
You either find super people and/or train them really well.
So now we don’t live in the area any more.
We were back, meeting dear friends before heading to the airport, and Continental is where we chose to be.
It will always be a Philly fave 😊.
