Food was delicious
Decoration was nice
Music was a bit too loud for my preference In a restaurant
This restaurant has a very nice vibe inside. The staff are quick and attentive to your needs.
The atmosphere, staff, and most importantly the food surpassed our expectations. We will definitely revisit and tell all of our friends!
We left after waiting 17 minutes without any table service. The table next to us was complaining they had been there for 1 hour and just getting their appetizers. We will not be back.
I had heard so many great reviews about the new opening of continental restaurant. Our reservation time was for 5 o’clock we checked in at 5:10 we were mmediately greeted by Roger who was the host at the front door very clean appearance very polite. We were seated by 515 our waitress immediately came over was very nice her name was Simone. We immediately placed our drink orders. we received our drink orders probably about 5450m, without water which we requested maybe three times. I jokingly I asked if the water was coming from a well in the back. that’s how long it was taking. By this time our appetizers had already been ordered immediately with the drinks. 615p we still have not received entrées nor have we received our appetizers
at this point I requested Roger to come over he politely said that he had just got word that there’s been delays in the kitchen.
Don’t know what kind b/c there was only one couple that signed in before us, then there was another couple that checked in maybe 30 minutes after us. that couple got up and left the restaurant without any waters ever being placed on their table for at least 30 minutes. We eventually were Offered a round of drinks on the house and we declined the drinks, we were kind of just over it
we were scared that the entrées would take another 35 to 40 minutes. I do want to say that Roger (maybe he’s the manager), was very hard-working he took off his suit jacket and started serving food to two other tables that had checked in after us.
Where else can you Vibe, Eat Great & take a shot with the world-renowned Chef himself? CONTINENT!!! Please & thank you!
Food was phenomenal! Was expecting something more upscale based on wedsite. Dress code not enforced ( jeans, ball caps and sneakers). Didnt like the dj (noise) in the restaurant. Couldnt hear my date talk. Patrons getting in middle off dinner to dance in restaurant (no dance floor). I was also expecting a better selection of cigars in the humidor. The bartender was the bomb! Makes a mean smoky old fashioned! Will definitely go back, but probably during the week hoping for a different crowd.
The experience was awesome! My friends and I had a marvelous evening! Chef Scott has the best food Atl has to offer! Service was amazing. The waitresses were very nice and courteous! The music was awesome and the vibe magnificent! We will definitely be returning many times! The cigar lounge was an amazing kickback as well! Highly recommend giving this place a try to anyone looking for good food and good times!
Food was great and experience was great! If you haven’t been check it!
This is a wonderful restaurant! Great for solo dinning at the bar, an intimate dinner or moderate size group of friends. The food is amazing; very chef driven. The drinks are craft cocktails that are unbelievable. This place might be my new favorite spot in Atlanta.
Great place. Restaurant is nice. Food was great. The chef came over and spoke with my cousin and I. Will absolutely go back.
Beautiful location and interior design. The ambiance was perfect for a date night. The oysters are steamed to perfection and the duck bacon added a nice salty element and texture.
We also had the mussels which came in an amazing red sauce and chewy bread (we asked for more bread it was so good)
The cocktails could use a little work. The flavor seemed to be watered down in the signature martini.
The lobster eschovich was amazing although it could use more spice. Couldn’t taste the peppers at all. Maybe it’s tone down for the American pallet however eschovitch is always supposed to be spicy. The oxtail Lo mein left a bit to be desired. The flavor was a little flat for a lo Mein, missing the oyster sauce and soy sauce flavor.
Our waitress took a while to greet us and we were looking for her for quite a while after we received our appetizers because we needed some items. At times I would see her sitting in the adjacent booths chatting (a big no no). Have the servers check on their tables more often and also avoid lounging in the front seating area that’s for guests.
Overall this place is a 9/10. I will definitely be back to try more of the fusion dishes and enjoy the lovely ambiance.
It was very nice. I really like the concept of having the cigar lounge in a separate room. You can choose type of vibe you want. They do require you to close out before you transfer from one room to the next.. The fritters were extremely good. While I don't partake in oxtails, everyone in the restaurant went crazy for the oxtail lo mein. Great bar and staff. They were polite, knowledgeable, and willing to help. This is for grown people and professionals to have some fun. You must make reservations.
I was ticked off from the pics of the exterior. Misleading...I went in anyway. I had to request the side I ordered 3 times. They removed a drink from my bill to make up for that. It was less than I thought it would be. Unvaried and unimpressed...
Went opening weekend, got the Lobster escovitch and brussel sprouts. Good ambiance, but a limited minimum, so will go back to experience more food and the lounge/cigar area, but so far so good. Good service!
I understand it was just opening but we waited a little longer for the food than I would've liked. The waitress explained why & it was ok.
I would recommend the continentatlanta. Been there twice and I love every moment. Food and ambiance is amazing 🤩
Missed critical steps of service. Water took 20 minutes, drinks took another 20 minuets. Servers were attitudinal. Music was unnecessarily loud for before 11pm. Is this a restaurant or a club that serves food. This could be a wonderful place, but unfortunately we've seen "this" before in Atlanta. We don't need another.
Cute ambiance/decor inside. I would give the restaurant a couple of months to get situated before trying again; & giving better review.
1. Made a reservation for opening weekend 1 week in advance, many slots open when I booked.
2. Arrived and was seated about 3 feet from the restaurant entrance, it was 30 degrees out that night.
3. Asked about seating as it was cold. Was told they have reservations and one said they “didn’t setup the seating chart.”
4. We were offered to “turn up the heat”, which was nice but again, being 3 feet from the door meant each time it opened, you were cold no matter what type of heat is on.
5. We ordered round of drinks, we learned that they don’t make “custom” drinks like lemon drops. The hibiscus drink with moet comes with about half the pour, so we asked about that. Manager brought us a round on the house and explained that there’s vodka and the ounces in the drink as reason behind the pour (perhaps using house bubbly versus moet?)
6. Food we ordered: (1) wings - delicious (2) mussels - not great (3) lamb shank - was good (4) lamb chops - were so well done, the fork could barely go in (was not asked how we wanted it cooked; ate one, left rest) (5) Brussel sprouts - a bit weird, was creamy but also very crunchy, so not soft. Weird combination. (6) sauté spinach - literally just that. (7) oxtail bao - there were at least 3 bones in each bao, thankfully we didn’t eat the bao like it’s supposed to be eaten, we picked with fork, otherwise one could lose a tooth biting into the bao.
7. It took awhile for the food to come, when the lamb chops and Brussel sprouts arrived, that was it. Then we were told that our food was meant for another table... awkward... waited some more, then the rest of the food came.
Needless to say the service was really great and much appreciated, but it feels like the place cut corners in various ways that defeat the great service. The operations and maybe a curtain at the door.
It was AMAZING! Food, atmosphere, service all top notch! Will certainly be back. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation asap.
Oxtail Lo Mein was AWESOMENESS
Chicken was FIRE!
THE GAT D*MN MUSSELS were so good! The broth was everything!
