Contigo is a Spanish and Catalan tapas restaurant in the Noe Valley neighborhood of San Francisco. Our menu features rustic dishes inspired by the vivid flavors of Barcelona. In addition, we offer artisanal Spanish and American hams and a daily Catalan coca (flatbread) from our wood burning oven. We cook everything from scratch using the products of our local, organic, and humane farmers, ranchers, fishermen, and artisans.

Contigo Ratings and Reviews
Our server was very attentive and friendly. The food was excellent. I’m very familiar with Spanish food- did not expect to be wowed- but the food was great. I thought the steak was pricey for the size 4 oz $28! The sangria was very watered down.
Overall a pleasant surprise-I will be back
We made a reservation for 7pm on valentines day. We were seated promptly and the server explained the menu to us. Food and ambiance was good. I just wish I knew that they had nothing indoor and outdoor seating when I made my reservation, so I would have a choice. Overall we had a very good experience.
Great place . . . from the warm and gracious hosts . . . to exceptional food . . . and really good waiters (they know the food and wines very well . . . and they are pleasant and efficient). Unlike lost tapas places, Contigo has mastered the metered flow of food -- in intervals that match the pace of a relaxed meal.
I have dined with family and friends at Contigo a number of times since it opened a few years ago. It is a desirable restaurant for many reasons.
I am confident that when I need a special place to have dinner, I can bring my party to Contigo for excellent food, service and ambiance. The prices are reasonable, and it's helpful that we live in the neighborhood.
I took my wife there for her birthday on a friend's recommendation. He's friends with the sous chef. We did the tapas taster. it was excellent and we walked out of their stuffed. The taster was comprised of 4-5 courses and the food was excellent. Very fresh and flavorful. I highly recommend Contigo for an enjoyable atmosphere and great food.
We had two tapas, an appetizer, and two entrees for our meal. The meatball appetizer was great, made with beef, lamb, and something else, maybe ham. Everything we ate was tasty and beautifully presented. Our excellent waiter was Javier, who was born in Barcelona. He still speaks in a strong Spanish accent. We had five glasses of wine. The bill was about $100.
The ambiance is warm, from the lighting to the light wooden tables. Service is super friendly. Add to that the absolutely delicious seasonal ingredients and great flavors, and you can't go wrong. The shared plates style was great because I wanted everything. My mom who was visiting from out of town loved her first time here and my husband and I enjoyed yet another dinner at this lovely establishment. We'll be back!
Contigo is a local restaurant for me and definitely a favorite. Excellent food - always some surprises. Friendly professional staff, warm greeting on entry, knowledgeable on wine pairing.
The noise level is high and tables close together, but that seems to be forgotten after the meal starts.
The chef's tapas tasting menu is a great way to experience all their best signature dishes.
Compared to other tapas/Spanish restaurants in the same class, I would rate this restaurant as fair. The food was good but nothing special. We really liked the patapas bravas but it's presented as a side dish rather than tapas. The outdoor patio was very charming. The service was good.
this is one of our favorite restaurants. we have been there many times over the years. we can a point of returning every couple of months as the menu changes seasonally. terrific food, congenial staff. a good collection of riojas on the wine list, which is a particular obsession.
We arrived at the restaurant and had to wait 30 minutes for our table. The service was sub par at best We ordered a number of tapas to share and must admit these were the smallest tapas portions I have seen in my very broad eating experience in tapas restaurants. There is no single reason to go back to this overpriced tapas place or to recommend it to anyone
