Poor experience - reservation was 20 min late, maitre d was barely apologetic, mentioned sending something to the table (never did), server took 10 min before coming to the table to even take a drink order, food was initially slow to come out (then found its pacing), and to top it all off, they put someone’s bar bill on our bill, and again, was rather unapologetic. Expect so much more for the perceived caliber of the restaurant and the high prices for decent food

Fantastic first experience, we will go back. Every dish was a touch too sweet for our personal taste but the cookery and choices were otherwise fantastic.

Love this place. Atmosphere and ambience are fantastic. Server was excellent. Food was delicious especially the scallops and the squash appetizer. Can’t wait to go back again

Absolutely wonderful! This week I had the pleasure of having brunch one day and lunch another day at Contessas. Brunch was delightful. Portions were more than we expected. And Cappuccino was so perfect! Lunch was amazing the lobster with angel hair, fried chicken, arugula with squash so many unique dishes and all were great! My husbands steak was cooked to perfection. Special experience both times with the best service. We will be back next time we visit Boston.

We were forgotten after our initial server finished their shift. We weren’t introduced to our new server so we didn’t know who to ask initially about our food. I had to yell over at a server nearby to get their attention as they were busy chatting away with other guests. We got our dessert for free because of this, but expected more for the inconvenience and better service at this beautiful restaurant.
