Perched atop The Newbury Hotel like a crown jewel, Contessa is a grand destination. The food was great, the restaurant and views were beautiful, but waitstaff the service was poor. The reception desk was very helpful with helping our party add a chair to the table. I very much appreciated that. But the attentiveness to our orders, water, and other details was very sparse. We were there for a 930a brunch on a Friday morning, and it took nearly an hour for us to get our food. Our order was not taken for a half hour. It was all very slow, and the staff did not seem very available to our needs once seated. The reception desk people were excellent.

I liked how the place looked, very nice view, good food and vibe. The service was the worst i ve ever received in my life. They ruin everything for you and they would do anything to disturb you. They weren’t nice at all, they try to make you leave fast, we were 5 people, ordered expensive and still treated as badly as they could. Really bad attitude, I would never go back to such place.

What’s there to say? The food is delectable. The view is stunning. The staff are incredible. The interior decor is absolutely perfection and you just feel so bougie every time you come here!

The view is fantastic. The waiter was very nice. The food was good. We got a high table although we made a reservation for the standard seating, which was uncomfortable. We got the same type of glasses for red & white wine, which was unusual for such a restaurant. I’m not sure we would go again soon.
