It seemed staff was more concerned with going home on a Friday instead of serving the customer. Waiter tells me it’s last call and then 25 more customers walk in so clearly they were trying to get me out of there. Not going back. Pizza was bland.

The calamari was delicious and the pizza was really good, the service was good, my only complaint it was the time it took to get our pizzas, we suspected it might have been a problem with the pizza order because it is usually faster. Overall we had a really nice time and the food qas really good, thanks

Very disappointed with the portion size of the special stuffed jalapenos. Not worth the price of $20. Poor service and did not get served our food in orderly manner. Spoke to manager and did nothing to make things right. We were not happy and made no comment or offer to compensate. Not returning.

We were very surprised at how long it took for service. Our waiter apologized for the apparent lack of wait staff that night. Other than that, food and drinks were good and the prices reasonable.

I had my first Connie's pizza at 26th & Canal in the early 1970s. Still great. Our server was a delightful young woman who was attentive and friendly. Our visit was early on a week night. Not overcrowded or noisy. IMHO out of many great pizza places in Chicago, Connie's is the best.

I loved my Sicilian steak sandwich but the French fries were hard when I ate them. Not hard but not done. Also no bartender at 1:30 afternoon and our waiter had to make our drinks. Good waiter not good bartender. Not his fault.

It was Mother's Day weekend my son took me to brunch. , Connie's was my favorite place to go for Mother's Day brunch this year. I was very disappointed I had bitten into raw food and all could say was Thank you for letting us know I informed one of the managers. Oh thank you for telling us again and they remove the food disgusting never, never, going back there .

Great service, interesting environment. But the deep-dish pizza was disappointing -- not nearly as good as Lou Malnati's, Gino's East, Pizzeria Uno or Giordano's. Maybe that's why the place was practically empty.

The waitress wasn’t as kind as I would have expected, which is unusual for this location. The waitress did the bare minimum and brought my “to go” items as if I was “eating in”. She brought to go containers for food that should have been packed in the kitchen.

Our book club of four love coming to Connie’s once a month., and have been doing that for last three years. We are treated with a welcoming spirit, and enjoy the menu varieties and drinks.
