Really bad service and undercooked food.. having issues with my stomach.. disappointing
Great place. Loved the atmosphere and the knowledge of the wait staff. Will be back!
Food was bland, not tasty. Fish tacos were blah,(and I love fish tacos).Aioli for fried calamari tasted like eggs and was super thin in consistency. My husband adores lobster rolls and didn’t finish his despite being undersized and the ratio of claw meat to tail meat was too high.
We have eaten here many times and always had good experiences before this visit. I hope the management is able to resolve these issues. It’s been a tough year for everyone so we will try again.
We chose Connie and Ted's as our first place to go in over a year after the staying in for the pandemic and it didn't disappoint! The food was incredible as always- the service excellent. I felt very safe dining outdoors in their patio.
Excellent New England seafood! We're from Boston and although we love LA, the seafood here isn't the same. We enjoyed chilled oysters to start, then graduated to the lobster roll - butter not mayo and fried clam basket. The cocktails and dessert were succulent too!
We were celebrating a birthday and craving seafood, especially clams. the clams were very good, we had them raw and steamed . The cost seemed high but I hadnt had clams on the half shell in quite awhile. We also had the three kinds of clam chowder. we were disappointed in the new England chowder, it was thin and not as tasty as some we have had other places.
Delicious and the staff were lovely!!! My only complaint was that the lobster roll, as good as it was , wasn't worth $36 dollars. It was kinda small and that seemed steep.
Our Saturday lunch for four on 5/1/21 was perfectly handled, from reservations adjustments through service to departure. The menu was full of their favorites, with 5 varieties of daily catch and seven choices of fresh oysters. Three of us enjoyed the lobster rolls (one of our lunch favorites) and salads, and I went with a dozen extremely good fresh oysters (chef's choice) and an excellent crab cake. Couldn't have been a better seafood lunch anywhere in LA.
Great place to dine during Covid. Outdoor tables are spread out and comfortable.
The best place in LA for seafood, especially East Coast seafood. I miss sitting inside but the terrace is very nice and the outdoor parking lot is OK. The big problem is very limited parking near the restaurant. Service is fine. We don't come as often now due to parking. I miss the bluefish.
The service did nothing match the price tag. Took nearly 40 minutes to get water after making a reservation. While the food was great, the experience was not one I would recommend and did not enjoy.
It was great. The seating adaptations because of Covid are perfect. The restaurant was accommodating and the service perfect. And the food. Everything was amazing. Cannot recommend highly enough.
Love dining here! Connie & Ted’s is just fantastic!!
The two hosts were honestly pretty rude and the wait staff made us feel rushed. Food was good but just a bummer the staff put a damper on a birthday dinner
Waitress was amazing and so funny. Food was great
The grilled octopus is always outstanding and we both agreed that our halibut was one of the most delicious fish dinners we have ever had. All of the employees were friendly and worked as a team. We had a wonderful time and I look forward to coming back!
Great time. Great service
As always it was wonderful and delicious.
Love this place. Food is fabulous and staff are great
Always a great time to be had here!!! Amazing service ,food and ambiance!!! We love this place!
Nicely done considering the Covid requirements.
Thank you especially for giving us the table area we requested.
Our favorite restaurant in Los Angeles!
So glad that they made it through the pandemic and are back serving the best food ever. Great service always.
Just a wonderful restaurant!
Thanks for a lovely evening
Connie and Ted's delivers again. Excellent service. Terrific food. Great outdoor dining area.
Distance from kitchen a problem. Clam chowder arrived lukewarm.
I love this place so much!!! Fantastic food. Feels like being back on the east coast. HIGHLY recommend.
The host was fabulous - so kind and accommodating. And our waitress was an absolute doll. We had a lovely time! And the food is always amazing.
Best seafood in town - best selection of VERY fresh oysters and French fries are a must - not a huge fan of New England clam chowder - But this one is AMAZING!! light but still rich, not to rich, just perfect!! We love this place and try and go at least once a month.
Food was actually not edible... really really bad. The shrimp that was part of the shrimp cocktail was old tasting and not fresh and actually looked dirty. I ordered a cup of the chowder and it was so watery that it was neither appetizing nor edible. My main course of mussels in white wine broth tasted as if something like cleaning solution had been accidentally dropped into the broth.
Overall, the food was so bad that I didn’t eat it but didn’t send it back either. I wouldn’t have known what to say was wrong with it and but also feared for my health if I finished it. (And was terrified that they would bring me something else and I wouldn’t be able to eat it either.) That is how bad my food was
Has improved since our last visit. Our waiter was excellent. She’s amazing. Super nice.
The meal was the exact seafood extravaganza we were looking for. The service is always laid back and fun there as well. The only negative about Connie and Ted's is the price point is on the high side. That being said, the food is top quality and absurdly good.
Very happy with our outdoor dining experience!
What a pleasure to dine al fresco and feast upon seafood from the east! East coast that is, where my own and Michael Cimmurusti's roots are. Thank you thank you for the raw hard shell clams and soft steamers from Massachusetts. The maitre d' was so generous in finding a great seat for our party and our server was charming, attentive but also let us have our space. Okay, they put more lobstah in the lobstah rolls back east but that's a minor point given that they tasted great and we were fast filling up. Oh and did I mention onion rings to die for? I just did.
This is our first return since the pandemic. Service was excellent, food delish, beautiful day relaxing in “our” NorthEastern seaboard restaurant!
See you soon!
Best restaurant in LA! Be sure to save room for the Blondie dessert!
Great place. Fun atmosphere and good food.
Food was great but way too pricey for everyday dining. Tent outside would be nicer with more plants.
My husband and I love Connie and Ted’s. We enjoy lunch on Friday and Saturday there. The staff is wonderful as is the food.
The service was very good. Food varied. The fish and chips? The fish was excellent the chips undercooked. Oily fried clams in sorry batter with undercooked fries were underwhelming.
Always a wonderful time out at C&T's. I am at high risk for Covid and don't qualify for the vaccine. This is literally the only restaurant I have been to in over a year b/c they're the only place that I trust them with my health and safety completely . Food and service was just perfection as always!
