We love this restaurant, the oysters, sea urchin are the best in LA! The staff always remembers us and really takes care of our group.

Connie and Teds continues to be the casual go to place for all things seafood. They literally OWN the category of oysters fresh shucked to order with a knowledgeable wait staff that can help choose between an array west coasters have never even heard of!
Same thing with the fish - Michael C has sources for sustainable options of which we've never heard! Again, the waitstaff knows the menu and can describe the offerings in details and with pride - knowing that it will come out perfectly prepared.

If you're not a fish person but going along for the ride - the burger is one of the best in town!

Menu might seem a bit pricey until you experience the quality of ingredients. The highest quality fish shack around. Connie and Ted would be proud!

Our new favorite restaurant when in LA The food is phenomenal, fresh. It is very noisy in the evening so we discovered that if you go early before five or at lunch time it is quiet and fine for dining. We just had lunch here today four or 430 shift time here, and we each had the lobster roll with hot drawn butter and it was the best! I wish I had ordered this dish every time I came here. Unfortunately we leave to go home from our vacation tomorrow but will remember Connie and Ted's the next time we are in LA. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Very good quality food overall, including oysters on the half shell, seafood stew and surf and turf, but be aware that cooking fish medium still leaves it somewhat underdone. Also, the noise inside on a Saturday night was very loud, so the patio is much quieter. However, when we requested patio seating they would not guarantee it. We had an 8 p.m. reservation and would have waited longer to eat outside as the noise was too much for us inside, but weren't given that option, although we were seated outside in the end. After about 8:30 p.m. there were several empty tables outside. Also, be aware that some entrees come with one side item, but bread is a side you have to pay for if you want it for the table, and it was sorely missed from the New England seafood boil. Giving an option to substitute bread for the corn on the cob that came with the dish would have helped, but that was not suggested by the server. Pricey and loud, but good quality with the caveats above.

I didn't like the front staff... She took us to an empty room all the way in the back when there were plenty of tables available in the restaurant. I did not like that.

But the servers were great.

Lobster roll lunch looked great but lacked flavor. Said it was made with mayo, but I couldn't see or taste any. Best part of the lunch, the New England clam chowder and cole slaw.

First time there where we didn't have seafood, which sounds like heresy, I know. However it was a Tuesday and their Tuesday special was fried chicken, which sounded appealing. It more than lived up to our expectation and would definitely have it again.

Our entrées were absolutely delicious and expertly prepared. The tarragon butter on the vegetable medley and halibut were superb. We went back 2 days later to eat there again and plan to go back again before we leave LA.

A really nice and lively place. Not cheap, but quite good value for what you get. Each round- from oysters, to rolls, to mains, to dessert - got better and better. A lot of fun, and fantastic fish.

This was my third time I've been here. The other times were much more enjoyable. The one thing I wanted more than pretty much anything to eat were the fried clam strips. The waitress told us that since they were part of the brunch special, they weren't selling them on their own. I tried the sandwich and it was terrible. I left very disappointed.

The food is always flawless at Connie and Ted's. Usually the service is, too. Everyone was super nice it's just that the usual flawlessness is probably hard to maintain and there are some cracks in the veneer of perfection. For example, our oysters and soup were brought out at the same time - would be nice to have the oysters first so they're fresh and cold then have the soup next, delivered and eaten hot. Plus you want a break between the courses... The timing of delivery of our order may have more to do with the fact that we came in last minute at 9:15pm and were in the middle of a shift break or change, but because C&T has always been flawless, I bring this up. It's so minor but was a surprise given the usually outstanding service.

This restaurant is a must for seafood lovers. Super fresh ingredients, classic seafood dishes and and awesome raw bar!!! Oh, did I forget to mention an amazing wine list. And if wine isn't your thing, they have amazing cocktails that start off virgin!!! Of course you can add alcohol if you'd like (I thought that was a nice touch not to alienate the folks who don't drink). And for that one friend who doesn't like fish, they have great burger options. I'm going back❣️❣️❣️

We arrived within a couple of minutes of our reservation, and were asked to wait in the bar area while they readied our table. After thirty minutes, I went to the hostess and asked if our table were ready. There was much confusion, and some hushed conversation. Then I was assured they would come find me to escort us to our table. Clearly, they forgot we were in the bar. I'd asked for a table in a corner, and instead got a table between two others. Not ideal, but not the end of the world, either. And, I'm not sure it would've mattered, as the restaurant was busy and noisy anyway. Once we were seated, though, the service was perfect. The mini seafood tower was delicious (we subbed prawns for mussels, and it was a good call).

This was my second visit to Connie and Ted's, and I would go back. I think the snafu at the hostess stand was an anomaly, and they handled the mistake gracefully - buying us our first round of drinks.

Went here for the first time on a Friday night, had reservations. The wait staff work as a team and this allow for great and friendly service. Anyone can bring your food, clear your dishes. The salad we had was amazing, followed by light and crispy fish and chips that came out piping hot. I have a garlic allergy and this was easily accommodated, as well as a creative/unusual drink I wanted.

The whole evening went very well (b-day celebration), all the folks in my party were happy and the pace of service good. The restaurant was very clean, especially the bathrooms which is a wonderful find.

Go, have fun, enjoy yourself and pretend you're back on the East Coast.

Continues to be outstanding, though this evening a bit loud for my taste. May have been the location of our seats, nearer the entrance and bar, but hadn't noticed this before. As always, the scallop sausage defies logic in how good it is. Fries and slaw on many plates were terrific. Excellent local beer on tap. As always, simply prepared fresh fish and side dish were perfectly prepared. And the homemade ice cream, especially the PB&J, was fantastic.
