About Connie and Ted's

At Connie and Ted’s you’ll find simply prepared fish and shellfish, inspired by the classic clam shacks, oyster bars, and fish houses, that dot the New England Seaboard and the Western Coast.

Enjoy one (or two) of 24 California craft beers on tap, while sampling from our large variety of oysters, clams and shellfish, shucked to order, at our Raw Bar. Wind down the day with a classic cocktail at the bar, or enjoy a warm lobster roll outside on the covered, open-air patio overlooking Santa Monica Boulevard.

The staff was welcoming and friendly. The brunch selections were wonderful and they were cooked to perfection. We really enjoyed the lobster roll and the lobster and eggs over biscuits. Our server and assistant were very attentive bringing us coffee and drinks as the glasses went down. Sitting on the patio is very comfortable. Valet parking was available and it didn't take long at all for them to bring our car at the end

Consistently great seafood! Diverse menu with options to satisfy any palate ... even for non-seafood lovers.

We love this restaurant. It would have been a perfect evening if the hostess would have let us wait for our friends at our table, having a glass of wine or a cocktail, and not in the lobby. We came early to have a patio table, but the time of your arrival doesn't count if all the guests are not there. It seems very irrational but that's their policy. The food is delicious nevertheless. And the service was perfect.

My second time here and I love it. Every dish I had was fresh and flavorful! We had a great selection of oysters. The French fries were surprisingly good and I really enjoyed my fish stew. I can't wait to get back.

We came on a Sunday night and it was bustling, crowded, and a bit noisy in the restaurant. Our service was impeccable, friendly and accommodating and the food was amazing - fresh, plentiful and delicious! We will definitely be coming back.

East Coast style Seafood is a tough find in LA, and so, Connie & Ted's is a true gem! Being from New England, the authenticity of Chef Cimarusti's menu truly offers a taste of home. Clam bellies and Lobster Roll being the main staples - but his impeccable taste in seafood also shines in the Oyster selection and catch of the day options.

Having worked at a seafood restaurant I can say the value of a fresh fish is priceless on the menu. We always worked by the axiom “fresh fish doesn’t stink”. C&T plays by that rule. I had a hard time grasping a fresh fish plate for $30 only comes with 1 vegetable. Isnt realistic, nor is half a seasoned 1/1/4 lb lobster, or a New England chowder, though savory, the oil and water shouldn’t separate. Also surprised with the tarter sauce infused with lemons, then served with more lemons. Banana pecan pie was talked up, taken home as dessert, but separated from the crust, saw nothing banana about it, and the pecans were the color of roasted coffee beans.
Not a horrible experience but I suppose when you know the dollar to seafood value one should be getting I’m not inclined to race back.

Love this place so much, it's a bit pricey for my budget but worth it because the food is so great. Also very friendly staff and always helpful. Outside seating is best since it is quieter but either is nice.

Connie & Ted's has quickly become a favorite of ours. So, when we hosted out-of-town guests recently, we made reservations and looked forward to a fine time. Unfortunately however, the evening got off to a rocky start. Once seated, it seemed no one quite knew we were there. Wait staff whizzed past us to and fro, serving others, without anyone noticing we had been left to our own devices. Finally, I hailed someone who brought the hostess to us. She tended to drink orders right away and found a waiter for us. The food, as usual, was great and the evening ended well. With guests at my table from across the country, and having raved about C&T's beforehand, I just wish it had started well too.

Excellent fresh seafood in a casual setting. Oysters, mussels and the lobster roll are favorites. There are other seafood eateries that I wish could hit Connie and Teds benchmark for freshness and vibe. Good choice of white wines by the glass to pair with your seafood selections.

I have been here before and was always put off by the staff which seems a bit cold. This time, when we arrived for our reservation (on time) I asked the host to please not put us at the table by the door since it was opening and closing constantly and had a breeze coming in. He then took us to a table in their overflow room (which was empty) even though there were plenty of 4 tops available, other than by the door. We had friends in from out of town and the room was completely closed off from the rest of the restaurant. After about 20 minutes, my husband went back to the front and told the host we were not happy with where we were sitting. He told him I had requested a quiet table alone. Lies. Then he proceeded to argue with both of us when they finally moved us about how we had asked to sit there. It was very uncomfortable in front of our friends and kind of ruined the night for me. I won't be coming back anytime soon. Food was average, server was friendly, nothing to write home about.

As close to perfection as I have ever been. Can I say I loved it? Having previously lived in Boston, I truly crave fried clams (ask the hubs), and these were better than I’ve ever had! Item after item, the best, with just a few minor exceptions. The best New England clam chowder, the best lobster roll, the best biscuits, the best coleslaw; I’m already plotting my return!
