Connie and Ted's
Enjoy one (or two) of 24 California craft beers on tap, while sampling from our large variety of oysters, clams and shellfish, shucked to order, at our Raw Bar. Wind down the day with a classic cocktail at the bar, or enjoy a warm lobster roll outside on the covered, open-air patio overlooking Santa Monica Boulevard.
We were a little disappointed in this restaurant. Maybe our expectations were too high.
You guys way overbooked. We had a reservation but had to wait 30 mins to be seated.
As someone who grew up on northeastern seafood, I appreciate this place.
The fried belly clams were sweet and juicy; the Spanish mackerel was tasty and not dry (said a guest), the cioppino was full of shellfish and hot (the taste was not exactly what I like, but that's on me, not the restaurant), and the steamers were fantastic--meaty, sweet, properly cooked. Not many places to get real steamers in Los Angeles but these show how much better they are than little necks for steaming.
Interesting beer selection, unless you want something mundane, like Samuel Adams.
The bone in rib-eye was perfectly cooked. Everything was on point and the service was top notch. I highly recommend the restaurant.
Amazing seafood, very fresh
Seated promptly. Very accommodating with letting us increase from 2 to 3 on Valentines Day. Delicious food and good service
I always have a good time at Connie and Ted’s! The food is always great and so is the service. I have been three times now and I’ll definitely be coming back!
We are regular customers. We had a less than stellar experience on our last visit. When we drove up the valet wouldn’t take our car because the lot was crowded. He told us to drive away and come back in 10 minutes. Telling him that my husband was disabled was no help...he told us to leave. We had the worst table on the terrace...the servers kept running into my husband because our 4 top was literally squeezed into the corner where the service station is. It was damp and freezing...even the heater didn’t help. Your food is great but I was very disappointed in the overall service and ambiance.
We ordered a dozen oysters, none of which were special. In fact we didn’t eat them all. We had two glasses of wine My crab salad was bland and her fish was fishy. It may have been an off night, Total bill was just under $200
Maria was an amazing server. Very attentive. From start to finish it was an awesome experience. Host was a little quiet and unwelcoming, but server made up for it!!
Always love this place !
Absolutely fabulous food and service. There were 5 of us, and we tried a bunch of dishes. The mussels and monkfish in particular were amazing. The topper was the dessert. The Blondie is simply not to be missed.
The decor is fun, the food is awesome, and the service is amazing. 10/10
The traditional east cost seafood. The clam chowder does not have flour, plenty of clams. However, the soap is still a bit too thin, lack of clam flavor. The broth of the clams and mussels needs garlic or pepper flakes to bring out more kick into the dish. The fish of the fish and chips is tough and dry. The chips are coated which takes the potatoes favor away.
Have eaten here many times, love the oysters..
Celebrated my Birthday there.
The hostess, Coleen sat us at
a great table inside. The New
England clam chowder was
really great & the clam chowder
& crab cakes were delicious!
I had the grilled lobster with
The slaw. Excellent.
Service was Impeccable!
Waiter forgot our bread and appetizers so everything came out at once. He did cover the bread for us.
Great service and delicious food
Great service. Food was overpriced and small portions.
Very disappointed that we were told they were running late with reservations, then when we sat our orders were very rushed. We were not being allowed to relax and enjoy our meal. Further, entrees seemed to be a la carte. It would have been nice to have been advised to order a vegetable side or salad.
The scallops catch of the day was by itself. 6 scallops and nothing else. Just odd.
We arrived for our 8pm reservation and were told “a lot people are before you” and were not seated until after 8:20p which was frustrating.
My biggest complaint is there were tables empty on the open terrace but they would not seat us there and we had a reservation asking for it. Instead, we were tucked a small room that had 6 tables. Next complaint is the price of their glasses of wine $15.00. I think that is a little pricey personally. The food and service was acceptable.
The food is always great but i had a reservation and it took past our reservation to get seated. We ended up getting a table in the back corner even though there were plenty of tables open.
Loved it. Going back soon!
Always excellent, lunch or dinner. For quite, eat in the patio!
Delightful! Oysters, scallops, lobster roll, blondie with a couple daiquiris. My friend went into ecstasy with the Dark & Stirrin. I love C & Ts! The mixologist, in particular, was on point tonight.
We continue to enjoy Connie and Ted's greatly. It is consistently excellent in all respects. It's become our favorite restaurant in West Hollywood.
They participated in DineLA but it wasn’t on the DineLA site. The scallops on the SineLA menu weren’t that good.
The food is always exceptional and that’s what keeps you going back but god the service is awful, no matter the day or time you will have to wait a while to be seated even with a reservation and you will wait forever for your food. But when the food comes, it’s worth it
Cool place. Friendly attentive wait staff and front of house. Tasty food. But so loud, no conversation possible.
Third time coming here. Host was super friendly and the New England clam chowder is fantastic. Burger this time around was covered in cheese so that’s a lot of what I tasted. Service was slow. Onion rings were pretty good.
Family get together for a birthday celebration. The food was excellent as always.
Great time. Had brunch. The food came out warm and not hot.
Spinach makes me sick every time and I have an iron stomach. Doesn’t need to be swimming in butter. Anyone ordering spinach instead of literally anything else is obviously being health conscious. My rockfish was dry and rubbery unfortch.
Although the food is excellent but pricey, the service on Saturday night was off. First, they tried to sit us on the outdoor patio which was freezing, said no, and had to wait another 20 min for an inside table. The server was slow to acknowledge us and slow to check on us. Had to give it 3 stars because of the slow service.
Best warm lobster roll in town - huge chunks of lobster and the most amazing bread.
The LOBSTER ROLL....yummmmmm!!!! Get it hot, with butter....that toasted delicious, buttery, crispy bread with the lobster on top was delightful...every single bite had my taste buds dancing! For dessert I got the blondie with salted caramel and ice cream - so delish! I almost licked the plate...but then I remembered other people were there. :) Also got the grilled calamari as my appetizer. It was good, but I probably wouldn't order that again.
They are a fish restaurant that didn't have any fish. Service was horrible!!
