About Connie and Ted's

At Connie and Ted’s you’ll find simply prepared fish and shellfish, inspired by the classic clam shacks, oyster bars, and fish houses, that dot the New England Seaboard and the Western Coast.

Enjoy one (or two) of 24 California craft beers on tap, while sampling from our large variety of oysters, clams and shellfish, shucked to order, at our Raw Bar. Wind down the day with a classic cocktail at the bar, or enjoy a warm lobster roll outside on the covered, open-air patio overlooking Santa Monica Boulevard.

Our dining experience was delightful. The shrimp and lobster fettuccini was delicious, as well as the rib eye (cap) steak.

Everything was excellent from service to drinks to the meal. The tables could have been spaced out a bit more. We could completely hear the conversations of our neighbours.

Many New England seafood classics that are wonderfully executed. If you miss the new england clam shacks this is will fill the void. Of course the I was never in a clam shack that was quite as nice an atmosphere as Connie and Ted's ;-) Can't wait for my next visit

Went here for DineLA week, our first time. Inside is really loud but we were able to get a table on the terrace, a better choice. Calamari delicious, wonderful Portuguese fish stew and fabulous blondies for dessert. We will go back.

This is a difficult restaurant to rate. The three clam chowders ,one over-salted.one watery and one disgusting actually all contained excellent clams. Plain and simple bad cooking with good ingredients. The oysters were superb. Smoked yellow tail was very good.Battered cod sandwich was a mixed bag, excellent, crisp cod encased in a bun. However the tartar sauce ,pickles and shredded lettuce within the bun ,on top of the cod turned the erstwhile crispy cod into an unappetizing mush.Good fries. Chocolate chip cookies and the whoopie pie were failed efforts.Mediocre service.

I’ve always wanted to go to Connie’s and Teds because of the cool modern exterior design. Finally, after years of driving by, made a reservation. Totally and pleasantly surprised! The service was incredible and pro and the food was perfectly prepared. Everything we ordered was delicious. And had no idea they had a strong dessert game! Def gonna be a regular WeHo spot for me!

Connie & Ted's is my new favorite place. I ate there two times last week alone! Both times, I ordered the warm Lobster Roll sandwich. Imagine lightly toasted, soft bread with sweet buttered lobster. It is heaven on a plate! And the fries... oh boy are they good!! Wow. The second time was just as good. Other guests had the baked fish and loved it, but I will be pressed to ever try anything else. The calamari is tasty too and the crab cake is fantastic. They are known for their Whoopie Pies which look decadent, but I was still in a Lobster & Butter induced coma, so I didn't try them. The margaritas were quite good too. I highly recommend this place!!

We love Connie & Teds and is our neighborhood restaurant. Staff is fabulous and food is amazing. We always start with Live Clams then Oysters (always hoping for those naked cowgirls). Live Uni is my fav (but always run out so get there early). Then we move on to the shellfish marinara (clams & mussels). They have cut down on the sauce sadly but they always accommodate when we ask for more. Oh and don’t forget about the grilled bread. Stand it straight up in the sauce and let it soak in!

our server Paul - very knowledgable about the menu and oysters! everything was fresh and delicious from fried calamari (ask for extra crispy) to lobster roll (hot dog roll, not sushi) with drawn butter. we've endured attitude from a couple servers here before - so this was a marked improvement we hope will last. oh, bloody mary with all the garnish was perfectly spicy.

We’ve been to Connie & ted several times; this was an ‘off’ night.
When ordering, several of the items were unavailable, which was disappointing- and the food we did have, was not to the usual standards.

When the waiter put coasters on the table, one of them fell off the table on to the floor. When he came back with the drinks, he picked up the coaster off the floor and put it on the table, then my drink on top of it. Really?
The burger is always good. The lobster rather bland this time. Not sweet at all. Maybe it was just the time of the year or a bad lobster. Also, the butter was not very flavorful. It didn't taste like butter, more like oil. In the past it to tasted like a high quality butter like Kerrygold or some other grass fed butter. Disappointing.

This was my 50th birthday dinner with my husband, which was also New Year's Eve. I picked this restaurant because I love their mixture of fish recipes that are non-traditional to California. I was disappointed that so many of the dishes I love were already sold out for the evening. I chose something that I wouldn't have normally had, and it was just ok, I have never had a just, Ok dinner at Connie and Ted's. For my birthday dinner, it was a little underwhelming. I would consider not coming for a special occasion again. Also, I have honestly had great service, always, and our server was just there, not really happy to be there.

The best dish we had was the crab cake as a starter. The seabass was also nice and fresh, however the rest of the food was mediocre. Ambience was non existent and just loud. Service was attentive and good, however the overall price to value was a little lacking I found.

Connie & Ted’s is comfort fish in a friendly overcrowded get ‘ em in and out fast for the money setting. The food is always fresh and acceptable with no-frills in cuisine or setting. The wine list overpriced and terrible, desserts worse. It’s better to go at lunch, when it’s less crowded.

We love Connie and Ted's it has a pretty traditional seafood menu and several fried options as well as a huge list of fresh oysters to choose from. The space is large with a huge outdoor patio. The day we were there it was chilly, the team was setting up the outdoor space and the cold air kept flowing into the dining room.

The food is amazing, the service is terrific.

This is a great place for seafood lovers, especially ones who love seafood that you usually only get on the East coast. A lot of the menu is fried (fish and chips, fried clams, calamari) but there are healthier options too. The atmosphere is loud but not too loud. The daily specials are good. The desserts very good. We shared the grilled calamari for an appetizer which was outstanding. They offer a frequent dining card for repeat customers.

The food was phenomenal, the seafood was fresh and deliciously prepared. We will definitely return, it was worth the drive from Long Beach. Service was a little slow at times, especially when ordering drinks, but our server was knowledgeable and did an excellent job. My husband really enjoyed his birthday dinner.

The staff was welcoming and friendly. The brunch selections were wonderful and they were cooked to perfection. We really enjoyed the lobster roll and the lobster and eggs over biscuits. Our server and assistant were very attentive bringing us coffee and drinks as the glasses went down. Sitting on the patio is very comfortable. Valet parking was available and it didn't take long at all for them to bring our car at the end
