We had Condal Tapas on a Sunday afternoon. The service was excellent. Had the seafood and meat paella’s which were delicious and then the chocolate dessert. Highly recommend this restaurant.
The service was not good, the food was average at best. The waiter seemed to be waiting for us to leave so they could seat the next party.
Everything about this place is magnificent. I can not wait to go back.

Went with my family to celebrate my brother's birthday. We asked for outdoor sitting and they got a great table that overlooked the avenue. The service was amazing and so was the food.
For the positive, I will say the food was great. The place was an icebox, freezing. It was the most uncomfortable dinner I've ever had. I went for an Anniversary and prior to our arrival, I wrote on open table specifications to bring the dessert saying Happy Anniversary on the dish. They did not. Then, when I privately approached the server, they try to make up for it with another dessert and come to the table singing Happy Birthday. I was mortified and just in awe that they didn't get it wrong once, but twice even after I verbally told them. The food was enjoyable but the service and environment was uncomfortable.

Your request for a complimentary anniversary dessert which was ready since you arrived we were just waiting for you, I will gladly send you our video for your memories. Wonderful experience! From moment we were greeted, a fantastic experience. Yaya greeted us, she was warm, friendly and accommodating. She mad us feel like family. Our waiter, Diego, was an exceptional server, so attentive, personable and truly helped make this a great night. Paella was delicious!! Will definitely plan to be back next trip to Puerto Rico.
I went to Condal on my last day in San Juan and sat at the bar. Service was perfect and food was delicious. I had the Veal chop and it was amazing. Will be back here again when I am back in San Juan.

Was celebrating my birthday and actually upset I chose this place. The server disappeared many times. The food was over priced and mediocre. Not worth going

Everything was amazing. They really went above and beyond with the service and food. We came in a bit late for our reservation, just as the kitchen was closing, but they accepted us anyway and moved everything quickly and efficiently so that we could still have a great time and a delicious meal. The servers were attentive and very knowledgeable of the menu and wine. Our server made a great wine recommendation that was the perfect pairing. It was so good, I’m currently trying to find it so I can buy it myself. The lobster and shrimp risotto was *chef’s kiss*. It melts in your mouth and the tapas were diverse and all full of flavor. Overall: 10/10 I really recommend this place if you want good food and to be served by the best people.

We arrived a little before our reservation and were seated right away. However, we booked this place to enjoy the rooftop courtyard setting and we’re disappointed to be seated inside on 1st level. When I asked why, I was told that upstairs was completely booked so beware if you book on open table…you may not get the roof terrace! Food was solid but not spectacular. Service was ok at best, they seemed understaffed. Would only recommend if you are guaranteed roof terrace seating for ambience.
Thank you for your review, please can you check your reservation all the reservations that requested roof top were seated at the rooftop. It is very important that when you request the rooftop you check to see if is noted. As your review is anonymous I checked all the tables. Please let us Know. And yes you are right we were understaffed several of our waiters had accidents or emergencies and we apologize for the inconvenience. We solved the problem. I hope you enjoy Puerto Rico.
My friend and I dined here on our last night in San Juan and the food was actually really good! The only issue was getting seated upstairs which is where everyone wants to be. You have to call and specifically request upstairs seating, which I did, however, no one answered so that was an issue once seated but after a few minutes waiting they accommodated our request and sat us upstairs.
The second issue was the understaffing, so much so that our waiter was so bartending and waiting by himself the entire upstairs area. I still had a great time and the food was great thanks to the care and attention from our waiter, Diego!

The power went out right before our reservation. We were told they were closed so we went to go find other restaurants in the general area. We noticed the power came back on, thus due to the limited options available we decided to go back to the restaurant. We had two reservations as it was a group of 8. We called ahead to confirm both of the reservation and originally arrived within the 20 minute grace period. The owner attacked us for having 2 reservations, accused us of not calling ahead, and then later changed her response of her not understanding what we were saying over the phone despite the fact that she made verbal confirmation. She then attacked to gentlemen at the table next to us for not adhering to dress code. Understanding the place has a dress code, she was extremely degrading towards a the customer.
Now the owner has overcharged the credit card used to pay the bill with her reasoning being that the review was bad on open door. Rather, than offering an apology for the rude and unprofessional behavior, she continues to go back and forth with us regarding the service. Furthermore, she is claiming that she can not find our receipt to even understand how the bill was charged.
Sorry you did'nt enjoy your stay . We had an energy issue before you arrived.Power came back after 1/2 an hour , We were not going to receive anyone but you insisted. Yes you had two reservations for 2 tables of 4 but we were not aware that you were together. When you call we had a Bad reception and I only understood Frederick. At the end you all wanted to sit in a table made for 6. In reference with the dress code is Smart Casual, You were all dress Beatifully, with proper attire. Regards
Our group decided to visit this restaurant for our annual group vacation. The restaurant had pretty good reviews so we decided to give it a try. Upon arrival the lights were initially out because of a power glitch. So we decided to start wait approximately 30 minutes for the lights to return. When I arrived back to the restaurant with the lights on. Three other groups requested to be seated because our original reservations were delayed. The older woman at the manager at the front door was extremely abrasive and impolite as we all requested our table. Eventually she allowed us to eat at our discretion. (We decided to eat because of the local Covid restrictions. Many of the restaurants required reservations and the kitchens close at 10:00 pm).
As we were seated the second reservation, Frederick, arrived to sit with us. At that moment we were sat at a table for six, and we asked our waiter for two more seats. The request was made after two gentleman were removed from the restaurant because they wore shorts. Therefore we asked for those two chairs to be added to our table so we could be sat as a group. The manager came to the table and began arguing with myself and Frederick about our request for the two reservations to be sat together. She belittled us and made us feel unwelcomed for asking for two seats.
As a back story: Prior to our 9:00 pm reservation Frederick called the restaurant asking that both of the reservation were sat next to each other. The manager said that she would allow it. However when we got to the restaurant she denied the conversation then she said that Fredericks phone call was unclear. Never once did she apologize for her misunderstanding. After arguing for nearly 10 minutes she walked away with an attitude and a server came to the table with an additional chair.
Overall the food was wonderful. However the manager was disrespectful and currently we are being revictimized because the restaurant overcharged us.
Excelente servicio. Los 4 meseros de la parte superior (Diego, Ata, Pedro y Bobby) se esmeraron para q pasaramos una noche espectacular y única para nuestra celebración de cumpleaños. La comida riquísima! Los platos estelares fue el risotto de filet mignon con trufas y las chuletas de cordero. La terraza muy bonita con sus acentos especiales y las luces colgantes le dan un toque espectacular. 100% recomendado!
It was our last night in town before we left from our vacation. The food was amazing, our waiter was so good and nice to our young son. The whole staff was very friendly. Definitely coming back when we come back to PR.
Restaurant was understaffed at the time of our visit , due to covid but owner notified us right away and we chose to stay and wait , restaurant appreciate our stay and gave us free drinks while we wait , waiter even tho he had been I incredibly busy with amount of table, and we notice that “very much” still manage to bring food on timely manner , and paid attention to us as we needed. Despite difficulties restaurant experience was great , food was delicious. Thank you
We wanted pallea but only for 1 since we are staying at a hotel and knew we wouldn’t eat two portions. Hate to be wasteful with such good food. But they made us get the 2 portion.
Food was subpar for price. Service was slow. Drinks were not good. Asked for lemon martini. Received a regular martini which was skimped, very little liquid in the martini glass. The Catalan dish which is like a paella should be removed. The noodles did not match the dish. The bone in veal was good, but salad was sad. Some advice for salad making, don’t use ice berg (flavorless) but use spinach instead. Put some nuts in the salad and avocado to make it creamy. The appetizers were good tho.
Overall, I will not be back. I give it 2 stars out of 5 for this $200 dinner.
I just reviewed your bill you were not charged for the martini, you had braised octopus , fiery potatoes, Cod croquettes, Perrier, Fideua Catalan with aioli, and the 19 0z Bone in Veal with a complimentary side salad that has arugula , iceberg lettuce and baby heirloom tomatoes and shaved cheeses with an orange vinaigrette. The total amount of your bill was $132.40 after taxes and tip the total amount was $ 165.49. All reviews are important , we appreciate your comments. Management
This was a last-minute dinner, given we had an early flight, and the traffic was terrible to venture out of Condado for dinner. My husband and I read mixed reviews about this restaurant, so we wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt and try it.
We initially didn't have reservations and were turned away because “they were booked” not have an alternative to eat dinner at 6:30 pm. I used OpenTable and book at this restaurant. The owner was surprised that we got a table and was not welcoming to the point that I told her that I'd gladly spend my money less were. She found a table for us, and we were seated. Our server made our dinner welcoming, but the food was nothing compared to Spanish cuisine. The batatas bravas and gandules risotto were good. However, the paella was a bit overpriced, not realizing the small fine prints that we missed, which was a paella for two at $27.00 per person...note this was the meat paella.
I will rate our server a 5 star. We left at 8 pm, and the place looked empty even though we were told they were booked.

Great restaurant with amazing food! We had the soup of the day and garlic shrimp to start, followed by the veal rib eye and lobster risotto. Would go back in a heartbeat!
I wish there were more words in the English dictionary so I could describe my experience here, but the closest I can get is purely exceptional. The food, wine, service, ambiance. All of it - beyond words.
Lovely restaurant. The paella and sangria were excellent and our waitress was lovely.
This was the best restaurant, best meal, best waiter, best over all dining experience we had while vacationing in San Juan. We were welcomed kindly and genuinely. We were escorted upstairs where our incredible waiter, Pedro, led us to our table. He immediately brought us water and made excellent, enthusiastic suggestions as to our drinks and meal. We had passion fruit mojitos which were superb. We ordered tapas for our meal, including scallops, spinach and cream cheese tarts, cod rolls, and a sausage and chick peas dish. All were absolutely outstanding. We had the creme brûlée for dessert, which was amazing. The upstairs dining area is intimate and charming. From start to finish this was an absolute delight. In my opinion, this is a must place to visit and dine when coming to San Juan.

Me acuerdo de su mesa perfectamente y por favor entienda si lo dije en varias ocasiones ocasiones es porque me senti muy mal de no poderlos sentarlos inmediatamente aunque acababan de hacer la reservacion por open table y no habia mesa disponible pero de todas maneras deseaba sentarlos inmediatamente. Y asi fue los pude sentar despues de hacer varios cambios. Gracias por visitarnos.
