First time there and loved the food and service! Will definitely go back!!
Truly disappointed. Love the sister Cantinetta restaurants. At Como, the need to be creative with the pasta dishes appears to outweigh the actual taste of the dish. The noise level made it impossible to hear our dinner companions seated across the table.
Nice Italian restaurant with great service. My husband and I met another couple here for dinner. We started with cocktails and wine and they were spot on. The view is so beautiful. We were seated by a man who looked like he was probably the owner or manager; very patient and professional (we took a minute when it was time to be seated because I saw a friend at another table, said a quick hello). Our waiter was a delight; I'm afraid I do not remember his name, but he was a great listener and very upbeat. The food was prepared wonderfully. We started with clams and brussels sprouts which were both good. I got the braised beef over polenta, my husband got the spicy pasta. I was quite distracted by our friends so wasn't paying close attention to how the whole thing was going to go but was surprised to see that when you order an entrée, that's what you get; just the entrée. You need to order your sides separately, family style. I didn't do that so I pretty much just had meat and a little polenta for dinner. I wish that had been more clear but it was probably written in the menu. I'm sure it's my own fault. The food, as I said, was very good, although it didn't stand out, it wasn't so different from so many other nice restaurants. It felt like the same menu but in a different place. I would like to try it again, and order other things. Overall very nice experience.
They didn’t seat us until 30 minutes after my reservation. Food was good, very loud environment.
New Years eve
Super service, food, and ambiance.
We had a wonderful experience at como. from the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out we were met with excellent service, relaxing ambiance and food with flavor that transported us to Italy! we would highly recommend to any and all who are considering a visit.
Outstanding food and service. Our server was Luke and he did a great job. Will definitely go back.
We went to Como to celebrate getting married earlier that day and we enjoyed it very much.
Always a fun experience! The staff are attentive and friendly and the food is delicious! Great location and never disappoints.
We had seen mixed reviews on COMO, but experiencing it first hand we would say it's worth it! The ambiance is great - soft lighting, Mediterranean feel, good views. Our server was superb, Chantrelle risotto was yummy. Wines were on the upper level price wise if one wanted a good pour, but there were options. The host could use a little softening, but we were there during the busy holiday season (so we will give him a pass this time). It's tough to beat this location on Lake Washington and such a lovely setting. We'll go again.
too loud - couldn't even hear my companion and there were only two of us. Food was so so this time. And the server was forgetful and not very attentive. Disappointed. Especially compared to previous experiences.
Great food! Great service!
It is so noisy in COMO that everyone was leaning in to hear each other. We had to tell during the entire lunch and still struggled to communicate. My ears are still ringing from the noise level. Too bad as food was good, service great, views beautiful. But please do something to better absorb noise and make for a more pleasant dining environment.
Be sure to order pasta! It's made in house and is wonderful.
Food was wonderful as was the service. If I had to complain I would say the noise level is extremely loud and the lighting a bit too low. Lots of people with the flashlight app to see the menu. Will still go back.
Very good food. Love the ravioli!
The food & service were fantastic! Very knowledgeable & friendly server. We ordered family-style & enjoyed all of the dishes.
Only complaint is the noise level. It was SO loud. We could hardly talk to one another.
Food is great as always... We had a waiter that wasn't so great. We are also certain our second bottle of wine we ordered was only partially poured.. Not sure what happened to the rest of it!
The menu selection, food, and ambiance was very good. There is a spectacular view of the lake too. The waitress was exceptional-- I wish I could remember her name. She was knowledgable and helpful about the menu and very attentive.
Went for lunch and service and food were good. The best part was the level of noise was low compared to dinner when it’s crowded and impossible to hear your table mates talk.
Had such high hopes but service was impersonal and rushed. Food was so-so and it was very loud.
Wonderful. We're still talking about the experience days later.
COMO has an awesome location and view, but be prepared for a high-energy, extremely loud atmosphere. We are big fans of the Cantinetta restaurants, but this Eastside variation is just not as good. The service and food are subpar by comparison. Consider COMO a work in progress with a long way to go...
Great food, great service, but it got soooo loud in that restaurant everyone was yelling.
I love COMO but there are a few things that would make it SOOOO much better! I have been there 4 times and will continue to go there. However when the restaurant is full it is SOOOO loud. Is there anything that could be done about it? For food, it is all excellent and I love the menu. This summer I had the gnocchi with speck 3 times it was that good. But this last visit I decided to try something new so I tried the tagliatelle with crispy prosciutto and truffle butter. The pasta was very hard and not delicious. Was so surprised because I thought that the gnocchi I had grown to obsess over was the best I have ever had in my life and I have traveled extensively in Italy so my expectations were high to try a diff pasta dish. So please let chef know that the tagliatelle was almost inedible, and I'm sure he knows just what to do to fix. Love the pistachio desert and my friend loved her clams! Service is wonderful and wine excellent
the space is beautiful and perfect to watch sunset. service was excellent. I had the boar pasta and it was delicious. other guests enjoyed the halibut immensely. Would go back
Ambience very nice, minimalist decor and subdued lighting. Specialty cocktail list was short, but had some interesting choices.
Carpaccio was excellent. Halibut was dry and flavorless. Chocolate pasta (!) was better than one would guess.
Pricey, but would give it a second chance.
Always wonderful! Menu refreshes regularly so always new things to try. Inside ambiance is wonderful and view of Lake Washington is spectacular.
We stayed at the hotel and had the most wonderful dinner and time at COMO. The food was absolutely amazing and our room and waiter were outstanding! Our cousins from Canada came and it was an evening to remember. Thank you!
Amazing food and gorgeous restaurant!
This is our second visit to COMO, and this visit was very disappointing compared to our first visit. We arrived 15 minutes before the kitchen closed and were still able to order food, which was appreciated. The first server who attended us attempted to pressure us into ordering from the most expensive items on the menu. When he was confronted on this, he turned us over to another much more amenable server. Although the space is beautiful, the noise level was off the charts, especially considering we were one of only 3 tables with guests.
ENERGETIC is not a word I would use for the incredibly disturbing noise level. I prefer a restaurant's ambience to allow normal conversation, not shouting to be heard at one's table. If I want energetic, I will visit a sport-bar or similar venue.
Given the quality of the food and service, it's too bad about the noise.
Great food for Seattle Restaurant week, we'll be back. But very very loud...
Wonderful experience. Great food, attention to detail and service.
Overall, food was great. Acoustics in the restaurant aren't very good but liked the ambiance.
The staff was very friendly and restaurant views are great. However, it was extremely loud inside, almost seemed like I was inside a bar. Perhaps restaurant week drew in a lot more guests that night. Food was decent but I can’t say it’s the best Italian food I’ve had.
Great location but the food was just ok. Went for restaurant week. One of the items ordered was a pizza and it was very bland. Appetizers were good, we ordered the soup and burratta. Would only come back for cocktail hour, as it is a nice place for a drink.
We had such a great time! We loved how they transformed the space from the previous restaurant. Our server was amazing and the food was outstanding. We ordered 4 appetizers and 3 different entrees. The beef carrpaccio with truffle was the best my husband had ever had. The burrata with peppers was out of this world. The butternut Squash was delish as were the roasted veggies. My son's dish was the favorite entree of the night the Tagliatelle with Truffle Crema. I ordered a pizza which I am sad to say was horrible. Being a very picky vegetarian I love a good pizza and compared to the other dishes of the evening I was very disappointed. The other dishes, service and ambiance made up for it though!
Tried Como during restaurant week on a Sunday evening. Table for 3. Food was good. We did try the restaurant week option. Good choices. Dessert not available but they did offer another alternative. A good dinner but it took over 2 hours! Service was so slow! It wasn’t even busy so I’m not sure if it was the kitchen or our server.
