Ambience very nice, minimalist decor and subdued lighting. Specialty cocktail list was short, but had some interesting choices.
Carpaccio was excellent. Halibut was dry and flavorless. Chocolate pasta (!) was better than one would guess.
Pricey, but would give it a second chance.
Always wonderful! Menu refreshes regularly so always new things to try. Inside ambiance is wonderful and view of Lake Washington is spectacular.
We stayed at the hotel and had the most wonderful dinner and time at COMO. The food was absolutely amazing and our room and waiter were outstanding! Our cousins from Canada came and it was an evening to remember. Thank you!
Amazing food and gorgeous restaurant!
This is our second visit to COMO, and this visit was very disappointing compared to our first visit. We arrived 15 minutes before the kitchen closed and were still able to order food, which was appreciated. The first server who attended us attempted to pressure us into ordering from the most expensive items on the menu. When he was confronted on this, he turned us over to another much more amenable server. Although the space is beautiful, the noise level was off the charts, especially considering we were one of only 3 tables with guests.
ENERGETIC is not a word I would use for the incredibly disturbing noise level. I prefer a restaurant's ambience to allow normal conversation, not shouting to be heard at one's table. If I want energetic, I will visit a sport-bar or similar venue.
Given the quality of the food and service, it's too bad about the noise.
Great food for Seattle Restaurant week, we'll be back. But very very loud...
Wonderful experience. Great food, attention to detail and service.
Overall, food was great. Acoustics in the restaurant aren't very good but liked the ambiance.
The staff was very friendly and restaurant views are great. However, it was extremely loud inside, almost seemed like I was inside a bar. Perhaps restaurant week drew in a lot more guests that night. Food was decent but I can’t say it’s the best Italian food I’ve had.
Great location but the food was just ok. Went for restaurant week. One of the items ordered was a pizza and it was very bland. Appetizers were good, we ordered the soup and burratta. Would only come back for cocktail hour, as it is a nice place for a drink.
We had such a great time! We loved how they transformed the space from the previous restaurant. Our server was amazing and the food was outstanding. We ordered 4 appetizers and 3 different entrees. The beef carrpaccio with truffle was the best my husband had ever had. The burrata with peppers was out of this world. The butternut Squash was delish as were the roasted veggies. My son's dish was the favorite entree of the night the Tagliatelle with Truffle Crema. I ordered a pizza which I am sad to say was horrible. Being a very picky vegetarian I love a good pizza and compared to the other dishes of the evening I was very disappointed. The other dishes, service and ambiance made up for it though!
Tried Como during restaurant week on a Sunday evening. Table for 3. Food was good. We did try the restaurant week option. Good choices. Dessert not available but they did offer another alternative. A good dinner but it took over 2 hours! Service was so slow! It wasn’t even busy so I’m not sure if it was the kitchen or our server.
Waitress service was generally very responsive and prompt, but at times it felt like we were being rushed. We were having a private conversation and many times the waitress very abruptly interrupted us without any acknowledgement to the disturbance. Further, dessert seemed to be a difficult course for them to manage- first we were brought the wrong items, then when asked whether items contained nuts in consideration of a nut allergy (the menu didn’t provide this detail for all items that actually contained nuts) the owner/manager simply confirmed that it did, advised that the person who ordered it (and had the allergy) shouldn’t eat it, and left - they never offered to replace the dessert with something that didn’t contain nuts. It is a shame really because much of the food was great and the views were nice. We were the only African American patrons in the restaurant at the time, and I hate to suggest ill intent, but I do wonder if we weren’t given better service because because we weren’t as welcomed as other patrons.
I dont write negative reviews but this deserves it. We had a reservation for 8pm saturday night and arrived promptly- we were told that they “had campers” and were behind/we sat at the bar. At 8:35 we were told there still wasnt a table and did we want appetizers so we did. We never were offered a table and the woman seating people greeted many parties and seated them. She avoided us and never even said goodnight - they were “out” of 2 dishes we wanted. It was terribly loud with a TV in front of us- not a relaxing evening and the food was just ok. We will never return. Our service was not only poor but was very rude!
We had a great time celebrating my birthday at COMO! The fondue was amazing, I definitely recommend trying it. The tajarin pasta and short ribs were also delicious. Great ambiance and location to watch the sunset.
Amazing service, ambience and food! All of the staff was incredibly personable and cared about giving us a great experience. The crab risotto and halibut were a huge hit! Will be back asap.
My in-laws are in town. My 85 year old Father in-law insisted on buying us dinner. He was recently diagnosed with cancer and his time is limited. And he doesn’t have a lot of money. To help on the bill I grabbed a bottle of 2014 Stags Leap Cab from my wine cellar. I know they dont have that on the menu at Como. When the bill came they charged us a $35.00 corking fee!! The top restaurants in town like El Gaucho, Daniels, The Met dont charge that much. I complained to the waiter and he agreed and went to the manager/part owner EJ and came back with nothing. So my Father in-law got stuck paying a $35 corking fee! Thats ridiculous!! Made a good nite bad. Thats lame EJ!!!
Delicious dinner and staff was super friendly. Will definitely be back for more!!
The view was amazing, which is one of the main reasons to come to Como. The food was really good, but not amazing. We came for restaurant week and that was a great deal.
The place was absolutely freezing. Don’t leave the doors open when it’s 30 degrees outside!
Gorgeous setting, beautiful food, excellent service. Thank you for making our birthday celebration so special! We will be back
Gem salad, burrata, desserts, braised ribs, pasta are all highly recommended. I felt like I was in Italy -my favorite place
The ambiance and lake views were amazing as soon as you walked in! And the food was comforting like Sunday dinner.
Service was wonderful and food was amazing!
The noise level was unbelievable. Six of us couldn’t have a conversation without literally shouting. Food was good. But no point in having a dinner out when no one can talk.
Would not recommend. You can get better Italian food from a bunch of other places around town. It’s so loud in the restaurant, acoustics are all off. Couldn’t hear my friend well who was sitting right next to me.
In the summer i loved the place, because all the windows were open and the noise level was fine. When its all closed for the winter the noise level is just unbearable. They seriously need noise dampening. The service to also really annoying, just leave us alone for at five minutes, stop leaning over me to fill my water; stop removing everything as soon as it finished....just back off!
Food was excellent...
Terrific Great flavors. Unique setting with incredible ambiance. Best service!
Average food, great service, amazing atmosphere.
WAY TO LOUD!! PLEASE BUY SOUND PANEL OR SOMETHING!!
EJ the owner/manager was terrific. We had a very short wait for our table and he quickly offered us a glass of champagne. He was very considerate and attentive throughout our evening. Food and atmosphere were great
Beautiful location, service and food. It is just REALLY loud. The acoustics are off with the coved ceiling, so it was hard to have a conversation.
Way too noisy! One suggestion would be to fill their walls with frame . it could absorb noise.
Overcooked halibut and bad service. We tried to order after 20 minutes each and politey signaling the manager and server. No luck. We were also overcharged for our entree too. We told the owner Trevor and he seemed like he didn't to hear the feedback, he referred me to his manager who did not understand the sitatuon an he began debating with me. Very weird. have been to all the Cantineta Group restaurants since 2009. Level of servive is outstanding and the food to match. COMO is the weak link in the restuarnt family.
Noise was loud, louder and louder. We could not hear each other talk. Having said that.,The wait staff were great and the food was delicious
We had a group of 10 for a work celebration - they took very good care of us and had great menu suggestions.
We were celebrating multiple birthdays. The meal was really good and service was excellent. We will go back.
The view is amazing, the owner is this authentic Italian that gives that special touch of elegance and Italian soul...
