Handmade in the traditional sparkling method, the 2017 Brut Cuvée is fermented and aged in bottle for 25 months. Disgorged, corked, caged and labeled by hand. Aromas of honeycomb & brioche fill the air. Crushed flowers. Citrus rind. The white frothy mousse of the bubbles create an orchestra of their own. The first sip is harmonious, vibrant and complex. Layers of Bartlett pears, lemon preserves and honey line the palate.

Seasmoke 2014 'Seaspray' Blanc de Blanc$80.00

Hand harvested in early August of 2014, the Pinot Noir for this methode champenoise sparkling wine is the result of a careful cluster selection from Sea Smoke's estate vineyard. The grapes were gently pressed following an evening in our cold room, then transferred to stainless tanks to begin a long, cool fermentation, which was completed in neutral French oak barrels. Following 12 months of sur lie aging in barrel, the wine was bottle aged an additional 24 months en tirage prior to disgorging, with 10 months under cork prior to release. The wine was finished with no dosage, to preserve its finesse. The Nuanced nose expresses Hibiscus, melted butter and baked pear. The wine enters the palate with energetic freshness and is enlivened with minerality on the finish

Francois Montand Brut Rose is a salmon pink with a purple tinge. The bouquet is intense and fine, evoking dried cherries and raspberries. Storm 2019 Sauvignon Blanc, Santa Barbara County$25.00

The fruit for this Sauvignon Blanc was sourced from four vineyards at different corners of Santa Ynez Valley. A combination of Old and New World winemaking techniques were thoughtfully used to bring out the grapes' full potential. Zesty grapefruit and tropical notes dominate the nose, with a hint of hay. The palate is round and quenching with citrus, guava and melon flavors that finish long. New World freshness meets Old World texture.

Grassini 2018 Sauvignon Blanc, Grassini Family Vineyards$28.00

2018 Sauvignon Blanc opens with pronounced bright notes of white flower, lemon curd, and mango on the nose, as well as an underlying hint of fresh wet grass. This wine has a lovely bright acidity with notes of elderflower, apricot and white grapefruit on the palate. The finish is long and lingers long after each sip, a reflection of the brief bit of oak fermentation.

Deovlet 2017 Chardonnay, Santa Barbara County$32.00

A beautiful appellation level chardonnay offering white flowers, tangerine, golden delicious apple, green mango, pear, hints of salt, sweet baking spices, brioche and toasted oak. The wine has a beautiful palate presence, persistent and nuanced, balancing richness with vibrant acidity, tension, and salinity framed by hints of oak providing notes of vanilla bean and hazelnut. Aged for 15 months on fine lees in 100% French oak barrels, 20% new.

Luna Hart 2018 Sauvignon Blanc, Santa Barbara County$24.00

This year's Sauvignon Blanc is sourced from Vincent Vineyard, Los Olivos District Sauvignon Blanc is how Luna Hart got its start in 2014 and now I share our third production of this wine. Varietally typical grass notes with an array of lemon characteristics that develop as the bottle opens, from lemon balm and lemon verbena to lemon curd. This wine will be a bit more creamy than you may suspect since I choose to age it in neutral French oak.

Luna Hart 2017 Gruner Veltliner, Fiddlestix Vineyard$28.00

Sourced from Fiddlestix Vineyard in the Santa Rita Hills, this wine was made with 50% stainless steel and 50% neutral french oak. Half of the fruit was left on skins for 24 hours giving a richer golden color and some light tannin structure to round out the mouth feel. Originally an Austrian varietal, I fell in love with Grüner in 2016 when I spent a harvest in New Zealand. This grape is known for being aromatic and crisp with a distinct saline minerality. In Santa Barbara County, it also adopts a depth of fruit and floral characteristics reminiscent of the first, barely ripe strawberries of the season and lemon verbena.

Vocal 2018 Gruner Veltliner, Alfaro Vineyard, Santa Cruz Mountains$29.00

Richard Alfaro's Vineyard sits at 550' elevation, south-west facing, the soil is composed of mostly sand and stones: mountain erosion being in the lower slopes of the range. Redwoods, coastal shrub and pines fill out the borders. The 2016 vintage was the first year we had a healthy yield in the vineyard despite continuing drought. The lessons gained in the previous two years of working with the vineyard and the varietal have resulted in the best wine we've produced from the site to date.

Watermelon, rose petal and white flower dominate the nose while delicate red fruit flavors are held together by a mouthwatering minerality.

Penville 2019 Rosé of Grenache$25.00

We love the Happy Canyon of Santa Barbara AVA way out on the east end of our beautiful valley for its hot days and cool nights. Here at Penville we believe this is the perfect site for attaining a balance of vibrant acidity and the refreshing fruit qualities in rosé. This year we were finally able to work with the esteemed Vogelzang Vineyard. Sustainably farmed, the fruit was pressed whole cluster then fermented using only native yeast in our 476 gl concrete egg. The wine was then aged in small stainless steel barrels and neutral puncheon for six months

His wines are rooted in his past experiences with life, not just with wine. This Grenache is mostly sourced from Monterey; it is de-stemmed and stainless steel fermented. The color is extremely pale ruby with, clean ripe aromas of both black and red cherry. Notes of sarsaparilla and a delicate restrained earthy quality

After countless bottles shared together and many trips to France, Railsback and Willett decided to found Lieu Dit in 2011 and focus it solely in the varieties indigenous to the Loire Valley, now grown in Santa Barbara County. The varied micro-climates and marine based soils of Santa Barbara County are ideally suited to this set of grapes. Lieu Dit centers on Sauvignon Blanc and more limited bottlings of Chenin Blanc, Cabernet Franc and Rose and produces around 2500 cases annually. Each vintage, the quest for purity, elegance, and balance in every wine is paramount.

Sourced from own rooted vines planted at the Happy Canyon Vineyard in the east side of the Santa Ynez Valey. The wine is fermented using native yeast. Once dry, we rack the juice and press off the whole cluster lots. The wine is transferred to neutral oak barrels for the winter. Once malo is complete we transfer to tank prior to bottling

Luna Hart 2017 Cabernet Franc, Santa Barbara County$32.00

Sourced from Brick Barn, Rock Hollow and Star Lane Vineyards. Cabernet Franc is a parent varietal of Cabernet Sauvignon (along with Sauvignon Blanc). It is often used as a blending component, but I love to make it stand alone. This vintage is a blend of three vineyards and brings different things from each. Brick barn brings a velvet texture, cayenne and jalapeño notes and red fruits like red currant and raspberries. Rock Hollow brings the tannic structure to the wine, a violet floral component, and darker fruit flavors like black currants and black cherries. Star Lane adds a Smokey component with rich baking spice

Penville 2017 Mourvedre, Enz Vineyard$38.00

The coveted Enz Vineyard was planted in the 1880' s. As the hunt for gold intensified here in the foothills of the Gabilan Mountains small outposts were created by immigrants heading west. These outposts offered supplies, food (yes, there are 100+ year old table grape vines here), and most importantly, wine. We are reminded of this every time we visit the vineyard by the stone ruins of the old saloon and boarding house that sits just across the road from the vines. The Enz Vineyard is the lone vineyard in San Benito County's Lime Kiln Valley AVA. As the name suggests there are rich deposits of limestone along with granite just below the sandy topsoil. In-fact there is a bustling granite quarry on the opposite end of the property which is overseen by the dexterous Russel Enz. The vines are dry farmed and over 100 years old! Along with a select group of others we are incredibly fortunate work to with such a unique vineyard. The grapes were completely destemmed then added, whole-berry, into our 476 gallon concrete egg for fermentation using native yeast. After pressing the wine is aged for 20 months in neutral 500L puncheon and a few stainless steel carboys. The wine was bottled unfiltered and unfined

The Arsonist 2016 Red Blend$24.00

The 2016 Arsonist Red Blend has expansive aromas of violet, rose petal, saddle leather and orange peel. Broad flavors of blackberry, plum and cassis fill the palate; a hint of dark chocolate and baking spice adds complexity to the blend. Timbre 2016 'Supergroup' Pinot Noir, Santa Maria$30.00

Supergroup - A band made up of members who have already garnered fame from other projects. This wine is blended from two rockstar vineyard sites (Bien Nacido and Presqu'ile), whose combined talents rival their solo works. This wine is blended from Bien Nacido and Presqu'ile vineyards in the Santa Maria Valley. The Bien Nacido portions are old vine G Block, which cut across the west side of the Bien Nacido bench section. The Presqu'ile comes from the block of 777 Clone facing Clark Avenue in the Solomon Hills region of southern Santa Maria. These two vineyards, when blended, absolutely rock! Red purple and violet toward the rim, the nose is perfumed and floral, and smells of fresh strawberry, tea leaves, red licorice, and white chocolate. With notes of black cherry soda, tobacco, dark roasted coffee, cocoa, crushed herbs, the lean palate lasts and lasts. With Supergroup, only a supergroup will do. Vocal 2018 'Sabroso' Cabernet Pfeffer, Enz Vineyard$29.00

The Enz Vineyard is home to the Cabernet Pfeffer mother block. Historically, it's also been incorrectly referred to as' Pinot St. George' . It's origin is a mystery, but as best we can tell it's a field blend based around an unknown Bordeaux variety, possibly sold by the 19th century San Jose nurseryman William Pfeffer. We picked this fruit from a 35 year old, own-rooted, dry farmed and organically farmed (non-certified) block planted from cuttings. 100% whole cluster fermented in concrete. Originally planted in the 1890s and purchased by Bob and Sue Enz in 1967, the Enz Vineyard is the only planting in the Lime Kiln Valley AVA. "Sabroso" is a Spanish word that translates to "tasty" . Enjoy fresh or with a slight chill.
