   Absolutely incredible food, ridiculously tasty drinks and stellar service! We sat outside on a gloomy day but the outdoor fireplace and space heaters made it perfectly comfortable. Our server was wonderful: he had great suggestions, helped me pick items that worked around my food allergy & made our group feel very welcome. The food was family-style, with larger than expected portions of the highest quality. Seriously freaking delicious!

   Communion was outstanding. It's elevated and creative soulfood. Service was spot on, food was even better. The Lamb Tibs on Black-eyed Pea Hummus was inspired. The R&B Fritters were amazing and unique. The Yeast Roll with Dungeness Crab butter was amazing as well. Everything we tried was perfectly executed, and everything we tried was something you can't really find anywhere else in Seattle. It was recognizably all soul food and inspired by classics, but it was all unique and inventive in it's own way as well. Cocktails solid, though maybe not quite on the level of the food. The one thing you could complain about is pricing, but portions were generous and dishes were each unique and delicious enough to justify the high end pricing.

   Communion was better than the previous rave reviews it has received! We had a wait before being seated but the service and meal were well worth the wait. We were treated to the Mussels & Clams in a very flavorful sauce that truly prepared our tastebuds for the party to come. The 4 of us shared & enjoyed the Deviled Eggs, Hoecakes, Fried Green Tomatoes, Unc’s Wings and the fantastic Hood Sushi which we highly recommend. Individually, we enjoyed Mac N Cheese, Herbed Rice. Every dish complemented the others. We left full & happy. We thank the Staff for showing us Seattle Visitors a good time and treating us as Family,

    Service was excellent. Food was excellent. Noise level was unnecessarily loud and definitely diminished our enjoyment of this establishment. Do you really need to play the music so loudly? When we kindly requested that the music be turned down, we were met with an indifferent and very annoying, "well, maybe, but only a little bit." Not sure if I will go back.
