   This was a great place to eat. The Team was friendly and efficient. We came for Mother's day brunch and the menu didn't disappoint, everything looked so good we all ordered everything on the menu, then we ate off each others plate Communion style, so we could taste some of this and some of that. Those deviled eggs...Maannn! Have an open mind to flavor. This is soul food with a twist. Our bar drinks were amazing as well. I had the Purple drink ( I had them sugar my glass rim), My Sister had Hey Auntie these were De- lish! The music was the Vibe the set the ambiance.

   The warmth and attentiveness of the service is only exceeded by the deliciousness of the food. Communion re-interprets Southern US standards while engaging fully in the dynamic community history of its Pacific NW neighborhood. Hard to describe how well it works but you'll know what I mean when you get there.

   The food is ALWAYS excellent! Unique spices, and substantial amounts, an adventure in eating which is truly enjoyable. And the staff are attentive, courteous and friendly. We love Communion. It is our favorite restaurant in Seattle, (our home town). So we try to come here every month or two.

   I was happy to visit this establishment the night before a cruise. I sat at the bar and Ashanti was my server. The service, the food, the music, and the vibe were all amazing! COMMUNION was all that I needed it to be. Took a few minutes to get seated but it was well worth the wait! I started with the deviled eggs, which included three halves, each individually topped with bacon jam, roe, and smoked salmon (8/10 for variety and creativity). I ordered the grilled okra, which was by far my favorite (10/10 for amazing flavor). Also ordered the Louisiana bbq shrimp, which were pretty tasty (8/10 for being classically good!)! Although really good with a tomato-type base, the collard greens were not my favorite (I like a more traditional flavor so it would be unfair to rate). I had the Cherie Amour cocktail, which was a refreshing mezcal drink with notes of cherry (this was 10/10 if you like mezcal). Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend this restaurant and I will be returning after my cruise to try a few more menu items. This has been one of my favorite restaurant visits in a very long time; it’s a solid 10/10!!!

   Communion is phenomenal. Outstanding food from a wide variety of geographies and ethnicities, with a Southern twist. Creative cocktails. The friendliest imaginable staff. Diverse clientele. Great neighborhood, great vibe.

    Absolutely incredible food, ridiculously tasty drinks and stellar service! We sat outside on a gloomy day but the outdoor fireplace and space heaters made it perfectly comfortable. Our server was wonderful: he had great suggestions, helped me pick items that worked around my food allergy & made our group feel very welcome. The food was family-style, with larger than expected portions of the highest quality. Seriously freaking delicious!
