COMMUNION is a place where you feel seen. A place that feels like comfort, rest, relief, and peace. Our mission is to provide the food, the familiarity, and the intimacy that make you feel at home.

Chef Kristi Brown has spooned her way through the culinary industry for the past 28 years. Starting at a small café in downtown Seattle, Kristi has done just about everything from dishwasher/prep cook to running her own catering business for nearly a decade. From the beginning, her vision was to focus on the art and experience of food through culinary activism. A purpose powered by her mantra, “Everybody’s Gotta Eat!” Chef Kristi desires to build community through the cultivation of fresh food and fine cooking.

I enjoyed the food, I had the unc wings & their rendition of corn bread both were delicious. The servers were nice and welcoming. I would definitely visit again.

My second time checking this place out… this time I brought a couple newbies. The service was great, food amazing and the vibe was legit. A good time was had. We will be back!

An outstanding meal. Once we started on a dish, it was hard to stop eating it and move on to another. Had the sense that here is a chef who really understands how different ingredients and just the right spicing can combine into one truly satisfying taste sensation; each dish achieved that. The catfish was possibly the best we have ever had; the mushroom tibs (there is also a lamb version) had a unique, irresistable taste; the okra was crispy, not moist or slimy; and the mac and cheese was unforgettably good. These people really know how to use flame and charring to enhance a dish.

This is an award winning chef restaurant…Try everything! I had just about everything on the menu, and every single dish was truly DELICIOUS!!! Hands down the best food I had in Seattle.

I enjoyed an excellent dinner. The BBQ shrimp, yeast rolls & crab butter, hummus with lamb tibs were perfectly seasoned, executed and satisfying dinner choices. Dessert of salted carmel ice cream, and berry cobbler checked off the sweets need! For cocktails my husband and I enjoyed the purplish drank and the hey auntie! The atmosphere was a perfect mix of hip, friendly and fun. I highly recommend the eats at Communion with someone special who is a foodie. You cannot miss at this neighborhood gem!

Yummy grilled okra, hood sushi, all the picked veggies, Mac-n-cheese, collard greens, caramel ice cream. All of it stood out. Our dinner director was fab! Ambiance -music, people, food -was a dream.

The food did not disappoint, this was our 2nd time here and the food was amazing again. The value is well worth it, we ordered an appetizer, and each got a meal and had leftovers. ordered the BBQ shrimp, basically licked the bowl clean, then had the catfish which can feed two people and the mojo chicken, also got a side of the collard greens. Staff very friendly, knowledgeable & attentive. We will definitely be back and recommend this place to everyone that we know. Thank you, Communion, for an amazing evening.

The food was delicious! I love the sharing style! We got to try so many things! My favorites would have to be Unc’s wings, the yeast roll and the mac and cheese. Absolutely delicious! You’ll definitely want to check them out if you’re in Seattle!
