The food was very good. Staff was also very good and attentive. I realize that your restaurant is quite small but the noise level was out of control. What a great find right off Mainstrasse! Inventive menu - rabbit! Great wine list. Knowledgable servers. Interesting craft cocktails.

Had a lovely brunch right at 10am on a Sunday. Plenty of tasty options from a mile high savory quiche to a creative spin on biscuits and gravy. Friendly, unobtrusive service and bright, cheerful decor.

First time at Commonwealth Bistro, great location in the heart of MainStrasse. Service was outstanding and the menu was very different--not your typical dinner out, but we found something for everyone. They make a very different style of comfort biscuit that is lovely with salads and "green" dishes. The honey pie with ice cream was yummy! Great place, will definitely go back.

Love Commonwealth! Def recommend this restaurant. This was our second time there. The only improvement would be for them to add a chocolate dessert to the menu. :-)

Common Wealth Bistro was fantastic! My mother and I had dinner here before attending the opera. The food was delicious -- both my mother and I had the Rabbit which was delicious: it had a great crunchy breading on it, and did not have a gamey flavor. It was served with this delicious sauce (on the side), collard greens, and a homemade biscuit. All were very yummy. Reasonably priced entrees and drinks. Nice atmosphere, and great service. Server was very honest and knowledgeable about menu items. It was pretty quiet when we arrived at 545P. 10/10 will go again.

Why wasn't this terrific place packed?! I mean, lines all the way to Dayton and a 3 month wait for a reservation? This is fine food, beautifully considered and prepared. There is no silly here, but it is a mouth party without the hangover. Thank you, Commonwealth for restoring my faith in American cooking. P.S. Be brave... have the smelt.

While I like Commonwealth, I am disappointed in the summer menu. The Kentucky bibb lettuce salad is going and it should be a staple. The new drinks are fun but loosing the bibb and the shrimp while keeping a cold weather pork shank was a shame. Looking forward to their next change.

The good news -- the summer drink Strawberry-Cucumber Smash was a smash with us. So refreshing. Things went downhill from there. The waiter was pushing a lamb belly BLT and it sounded yummy. When it came, it was on slices of focaccia so thick it completely overwhelmed the belly (so salty!), greens and marmalade filling. Both of us had to take the bread away and eat the 'sandwich' as a salad. When we told the waiter the bread should be changed he told us -- and this kills me -- (paraphrasing) "The bread we normally serve it on is 16 Bricks (a favorite!) (and clearly the correct choice) but we ran out so the chef used this." SERIOUSLY??? This is how they treat customers? The better choice would have been to pull the sandwich from the menu until the appropriate bread was available again. We felt cheated, and we won't be back.

This was a great find! My husband and I split 2 of the small bites, and then an entree. Our food was delicious and unique. I'd be interested to go back again during a different season to see how the menu changes. Our server was extremely attentive without hovering. The atmosphere is great - it feels very casual and yet elegant with the quality of the food you're eating.
