Commoner & Co.
with classic influences, changing our menu seasonally to bring the freshest ingredients at all times. We also offer a full bar, around 10 beers on tap, and a wine list of 20 wines by the glass to be sure every
guest finds exactly what they're looking for.
Got to the restaurant and it was closed for renovations. Why take the reservation if you were closed? Was so looking forward to spending our anniversary there too. Pity.
Little did we know that the restaurant was closing for remodeling and we were the last evening of service for a while. Certainly, not the best we have had there.
Cocktails were refreshing and well done, appetizers were delish and enjoyed by all. Entree (bocatini) was on point, my friends really enjoyed the salmon as well. In the years I’ve been to Commoner and Co and in my foodie adventures all over, it still remains one of my favorites. A great example of quality Tucson dining and service.
Pros: Solid food. Great service. And, I liked the music selection.
Cons: Nothing that really detracted from my experience. The only weird thing was the somewhat absurdly large spoon served with my entree. Not exactly a criticism, but someone should say it.
Recommendations: Get the empanadas.
Everything was really delicious, we share the Spanish Caesar Salad and I had the trout as main entree and we had the chocolate pie for desert!
Yummy. Fun. Noisy.
Food was great, service excellent. Noticed a male employee (probably a server) wiping down the table next to us. As he was wiping he noticed food on the table. He pause for a moment then proceeded to wipe the food onto the floor. He never picked it up or swept it up. I had my wife and daughter exit our table from the other side to avoid stepping in this. His actions were not the right thing for this type of establishment. However, we will return when we are back in Tucson.
Hard to find cuisine that impresses like Commoner. Something on the menu for everyone at the table, and we are all still talking about it. Everyone was in a good mood, amazing energy from the kitchen, a real joy to watch. Thank you!
Great, attentive, Team Service model. A bit hipster-- but very good vibes and really tasty food.
Commoner and Company is a hip, vibrant, neighborhood bar and restaurant. The food is consistently excellent, the wait staff friendly, efficient and fun. This is a great date night restaurant, but also fun with groups of friends. The Sunday brunch is fabulous!
Went there on a Monday night, made reservations and we were promptly seated. Our server was very attentive, asked for a specific bottle of chardonnay, but they were out but suggested a different one, which was very good, we ordered off the menu, the food was delicious, half of wine on Monday!
service, quality of food, ambience was amazing. This is going to be our go to place here in Tucson.
Great food and great service. Will definitely come back.
Great food at a great value, outstanding staff. Noise was a louder than we like.
Really good food, great service.
I had hoped there would be more vegan options
Had an amazing meal for our anniversary. Had the mussels and beet salad for an appetizer. I had the salmon and it was cooked perfectly, the risotto was delicious too. We can't wait to come back and try some other things on the menu, except the mussels. Those were incredible, and I will order them again, and again!!!!!
Creative food, excellent choices, fun atmosphere.
Food was very good. Prepared properly and was hot when served. Very noisy but the food made up for that.
Staff was great. Food fantastic. Good wine list and drinks were very good. Looking forward to going back.
Good deal with the 1/2 price wine on Monday. The food was very good, but my husbands Salmon came with just 3 small leafs os spinach as the vegetables so knocked the food down to 4. My pork scaloppini was good but not excellent, generous portion. The beet appetizer and my husbands Spanish Caesar salad were very good
Good brunch menu.
We sat at the high tops facing the bar and our server was absolutely outstanding. She over heard that we were celebrating my boyfriends graduation and brought out dessert with a candle. The food was perfect, the appetizers were delish, I really want to try the mussels next time, and the drinks are expertly made. We were nervous because the first time we came before this new chef, we did not like it. Now we can’t wait to come back next week!
Food is always great and service too. We have never been disappointed here. Salmon dish was amazing.
My boyfriend and I went to Commoner for dinner on a Saturday night and were so impressed we returned for brunch the following day! This restaurant is a 10/10. The food was by far some of the best we have had in a long time and the service was excellent. This place definitely deserves more attention in the Tucson food scene! Chef Kyle is super talented and did an awesome job at showcasing local and seasonal ingredients. We are excited to go back and try more of the menu!
We enjoyed everything about this visit. The food, atmosphere and server.
This was our first visit and the service & food was excellent. Next time we are in the Tucson (Ventana Canyon area) we dine again at the Commoner & Co . I highly recommend this restaurant.
The Mac and Cheese was cheeseless and the Gnochi was bland. Had to ask for bread.
We ordered the Mac and Cheese, pasta was more than al dente, tough and thick, and the sauce was like a soup, not the creamy image of mac and cheese that I expected. Mussels and fries were good and the shortbread dessert was exquisite. Also, energetic isn't the proper word for noise level. It is loud.
Great find near our hotel. Creative food, good prices, excellent service.
First visit. Fantastic. Wife and I had a great date night dinner!!! Food was perfect!! See you again soon!
Our meal started poorly with a server who’s attitude is best described as bothered, and the cold bread and dipping oil that were below average. Things improved significantly with the arrival of the appetizer. Curry fries and mussels was a huge hit with amazing curry and tender, perfect mussels. The main course was a fabulous braised beef, polenta and goat cheese bow of heaven. If they keep serving food like this it should more than make up for bad bread and poor service.
We really enjoyed our Mother’s Day brunch. The food and drinks were delicious and we received wonderful service.
Josh, our server was phenomenal. Pastries are delicious and the food was good. We had a great brunch.
Always a friendly ambiance. delicious food at great price. Unique combos of flavors!
Booked a Mother's Day brunch for 8. It was fantastic from the menu to the ambiance and everything in between. Highly recommend.
We always enjoy our time at Commoner. Excellent food and cocktails, great, casual, responsive service.
My wife and I have eaten here several times. We have never been disappointed. The food is always very good and creative. The cocktails are also very interesting and delicious. The service has always been efficient and friendly. We highly recommend this restaurant.
Nice response to gluten free issue.
Never a disappointment. Great food and amazing cocktails! It’s my go-to in Tucson.
Really good choice for a neighborhood place with very good comfort food and service. I particularly enjoy the trout entree! Hard to find in Tucson.
Full bar, reasonable wines. A cut above in the neighborhood!
