   Commelfo is always a favorite. We've gone often for lunch, many times for dinner, and we aren't ever disappointed. The food and service is always on point, and the ambience and decor is a beautiful breath of fresh air in this area, (unfortunately a fine-dining desert). They make great martinis, and they have good coffee. My husband and I highly recommend Commelfo.

   We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary dinner at Commelfo w/our adult sons. They seated us well. Drinks were properly made. All our dishes were properly prepared and seasoned perfectly. Our sons ordered two entrees hahaha. So, we had a variety from the menu. Crab cakes were the best we’ve had anywhere, which surprised us as they do not portray their restaurant as seafood specialty. Even the salted caramel cheesecake was great. Highly recommend. Yes, we will be back.

   Excellent presentation of dishes. They actually taste as good as they look. Superior service. One of my go to’s.

   Memorable experience Visited during a vacation. Wonderful menu delicious food fantastic service.. Our waitress was spectacular. It was her second week working here from Russia. Did not remember the name. Great suggestion of appetizers drinks, entrées, and wonderful dessert selections. Everything was fantastic.

   I will preface this by saying that we are foodies from New Orleans and are intimately acquainted with extraordinary food. This was not that. It is advertised as a high quality dining experience but falls quite short of expectations. To start, we ordered the namesake salad. Extremely thin-sliced tasteless pears combined with an overly smoky vinaigrette and ordinary bag-style mixed green salad and salted pecans. The smoky vinaigrette and bacon sadly overpowered the salad. The goat cheese that was supposed to be in or on the salad was conspicuously absent. I ordered the grilled grouper with saffron risotto. The grouper portion was small but seasoned and cooked well. The saffron risotto was gritty / sandy. It was a texture issue for me. I called the waitress’ attention to it but she indicated that their risotto is cooked to Al dente (to the tooth) so it has a “sticky” texture. She insisted it was properly cooked after I indicated that it was “gritty” and “sandy”. I asked if she could have the staff cook it more to make it creamy. She refused but offered to bring another side if I wanted one. I had been looking forward to the saffron risotto and did not want potatoes. So I told her I would try to get through the risotto. Spouse ordered the prosciutto-wrapped chicken with asparagus — no other side provided. Spouse said the small chicken was cooked nicely but it was extremely salty. Understanding that prosciutto is salty but added salt probably crossed the bounds of appropriate salt levels. The waitress offered dessert — we asked to see a menu. When she indicated that they don’t have a written dessert menu but that she could tell us what they offered, it should have been a warning. While the chocolate creme brûlée and the chocolate mousse were acceptably good, they were not worth the $15 and $16 we were charged respectively for each dessert without disclosure of the exorbitant dessert pricing. We felt that we had been duped.

   Good be quite the romantic spot- too many groups. Very noisy. Great bar and food was very good.

   After a particularly trying month, my sister treated me to a birthday dinner at Commelfo, and from the moment we walked in, it felt like a warm embrace. The waitstaff struck the perfect balance—attentive and welcoming without hovering, always within reach when needed. To set the celebratory tone, I indulged in a salted caramel whiskey sour, which was simply divine. We approached our meal course by course, starting with the portobello ravioli—so flavorful and rich that we were grateful to have shared. On the recommendation of the special menu, we decided to try the tuna tartare, which burst with freshness, and a beet salad that truly transformed once we mixed the yogurt dressing—a small detail that made a big difference. For the main course, the prosciutto-wrapped chicken was perfection, accompanied by a risotto that made every bite more indulgent. Just when I thought the evening couldn't get better, the restaurant surprised me with a decadent chocolate cake/brownie topped with a festive sparkler—a thoughtful touch that made the night feel extra special. Commelfo provided an experience beyond just a meal—it was a celebration of good food, wonderful company, and impeccable service. I’ll certainly be returning, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable night out.
