Nested in Uphams Corner, Dorchester, we're a lively and intimate 30-seat restaurant serving brunch on the weekend and dinner at night with a full bar and outdoor patio. Our food is a celebration of the ingredients and flavors of the diaspora connected from Asia to the Americas — global comfort food. We are proudly Black-owned, immigrant-owned, and women-owned. We believe that food is a vital aspect of community building and we envision a place that is actively engaged in highlighting the culture, art, and history of our community.

- Patio dining: patio reservations are weather-dependent and may be canceled due to inclement weather. Our patios are partially covered protecting from light to moderate rain and light wind.

- Timing: dinner's last seating is at 8:45pm and brunch's last seating is at 1:30pm. Your table is reserved for 90 mins for parties of 1-5 guests and 2 hrs for parties of 6+ guests.

From the OpenTable editors: This Dorchester gem's cross-cultural menu is unlike anything else in the region, and that's why it's already earned a five-star review in the Boston Globe and been named Boston Magazine's best new restaurant in 2023. The restaurant, led by managing partner Biplaw Rai, is a nod to the rich contributions of immigrants to this country. Dishes embrace the ingredients and flavors of the African diaspora, which means you'll find West African-style suya beef with caramelized onions and spicy Ghanian plantain preparation kelewele. Get in on the celebrations in the light and airy dining room or the greenery-lined patio in the back, all part of what was once a historic rest station in Upham's Corner.

My husband and I tried this place for the first time tonight and we were blown away. Naomi was our server and she was just wonderful! Everyone that we came in contact with were fantastic as well, especially the hostess and Naomi. This restaurant tells a story and it really is fascinating! The charred beef snack and the greens were excellent starters. My husband ordered the stewed goat with dumplings and I ordered the duck. Both were sensational! That may be the very best duck I've ever eaten in my entire life. Both of us cannot wait to dine here again. Bravo!

I ordered the jerk duck. It was just ok. I didn’t think there was enough seasoning and the duck was quite dry. The goat ragu was better.

I took my wife out for a 'date night' and couldn't have chosen a better restaurant. We were greeted by a hostess who gave us a quick rundown on the restaurant and what to expect. We were brought to a table with a great vantage point in the dining room and served graciously by Deseree. She was informative and polite. My wife had the Dream Street specialty cocktail made with Sorrel...very delicious. We started with the Aachar Grilled Beef which was cooked to perfection, we especially enjoyed the Green Tomato Aioli. The wife had the Jerk Roasted Duck as her entree and I chose the Tea Brined Pork Chop. Both dishes were tasty and I surprisingly loved the Crispy Blue Corn Cake that accompanied my pork chop. I think we will try their brunch on the patio the next time we visit which will be soon.

It was great food, the staff were friendly. We were a little bit disappointed there was no duck, but ordered the cauliflower ( same spice rub) abd it was good, a little overpowering, but satisfying. There was a lot of hype surrounding this restaurant and we had a pleasant experience.
