I've driven by Comensoli's literally hundreds of times over the years. I actually tried this based on other reviews and it was excellent. It's a very small restaurant with only a dozen tables. The ambiance is great and the food is superb. It felt like I was in an Italian restaurant in a small town in Italy. I will return.

We had an excellent time all around! The food was amazing, the bruschetta, Caesar salad and frutti demare was all delicious! We had a nice private corner where it was warm and cozy! The service was lovely with great timing of our courses. We will definitely be back again, thanks for a great date night!!

Service was great and food was delicious! Very non-descript type of place. If i hadn’t gotten a recommendation I probably wouldn’t have tried this place. The outside is definitely dated but don’t let that fool you. Give this place a try!

The area in the back with the reserved tables was very quiet, my husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Will was an awesome waiter and the food was amazing!! Definitely suggest making reservations, the front of the restaurant was really busy. Would recommend this restaurant to anyone!

Only knock is lights too bright at our table near front window. We took selfie, and it looks like we're sitting in sunlight despite it being a winter night. Food and service wonderful.

Comensoli’s provides and excellent variety of delicious Italian food, extensive wine list, and creative cocktails. Their offerings are fresh and full of complex flavors. The main dining room is very cozy and festive. The back room could us a little more attention with the decor but, I’m sure they will get there eventually. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. With multiple courses ordered, we were pleased that everything came out in perfect harmony. The chefs work their magic in a small bistro style kitchen and I’ve never been disappointed in any dish they’ve created. This restaurant is a gem in Kalamazoo.

We waited for 30 minutes to be served water or offered drinks. The waitress gave a short apology for the wait but that was it. (We didnt see her again for probobly 20 more minutes). We were in a back room with a loud meeting taking place with no music, no bread on the table, no water. When meals were eventually served the food was good but that is the only positive the entire night. I have always loved this restaurant but will not be returning.

My husband and I went there on a Thursday night. We had reservations and it wasn’t too crowded so we were able to choose our table. We ordered mushroom caps which were a little zippy, but still very good. I ordered a pizza and it was delicious. My husband ordered the spaghetti with meat balls and meat sauce and he said it was one of the best he’s ever had! Drinks were good, portions were large and service was outstanding! I think I’ve found my new favorite restaurant!!
