Combine, A Bass Street Restaurant
Try the Duck Bacon Wonton for appetizer-so delicious! In our party of 3, we had the chicken, New York Strip & Bolognese. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their meal. They also have a large selection of spirits and wine, along with specialty drink options. Evan waited on us and was very helpful and attentive. Great experience!
Our food was absolutely wonderful! We can't wait to go back!
My brother got sick shortly after eating, called the restaurant the next day and they could have cared less. First and last visit.
Great new restaurant in a East Moline! They offer a wonderful variety of food, drinks and the deserts are out of this world. A must for anyone.
Combine does everything right! The service, their food and their COVID-19 polices are all outstanding. Thank you Mark and Woody for making Combine our favorite restaurant in the QCA!
Had a gift card. Food was good but over priced for regular dining.
The wait/hostess staff did not seem very well educated on deals/menu items. We waited a very long time for our drinks (wine) as well as our actual dinner on an averagely busy night. There was only one or two servers working a decent sized patio. Food was average, overpriced for quality of the food. We will probably not be back.
We sat for 15 minutes, after the hostess sat us and we finally had to go say something to her about not having a waitress. It took another 5 minutes for the waitress to show up, our drinks took forever. The appetizer (sweet corn chorizo fritters) were burnt on the outside, not done in the middle. The waitress asked what we thought and when told they weren’t very good, she said “yeah we’ve been getting complaints”. I ordered the fried chicken that they are supposedly known for, it was so salty I could barely eat it, and I like salty foods. Two of my other group ordered the mahi special, the mango chutney or mango salsa (we were told both) was overpowering in onion flavor no neither of them ate it. Over all, for a restaurant that was around $60 a person, I can’t think of a single thing that was worth me going back.
My only thought is that I would the dinner menu was a little bigger.
It's always a pleasure to dine at the Combine. Food, service, and drinks are excellent.
Exceptional. We felt very safe dining there.....our most important criteria for choosing a place to eat out. Food was excellent, waiter was most knowledgeable
We always gave excellent food and service at Combine!
Very nice experience. Took a friend so she could see what Combine is all about. Brando was fantastic! Thank you.
Food was amazing. Chicken was the best fried chicken i have ever had.
Great evening! Robin and Brando did a fantastic job of seeing that my party was well attended to!
Excellent food. Would be nice if they had a few umbrellas outside or a few sail canopies. Service was great and sanitation protocols. White wine I had was a very small amount. Felt like bottle was emptied without opening a second to finish it off. Do enjoy happy hour times and prices as well as half price wine bottle on Saturday. Great place!
Excellent food, service, and properly safety measures followed (server gloved and fully masked!)
We went to the Combine for the first time last week, for our anniversary celebration. Overall it was a good experience and we were treated very well. The food selection is not huge, but I had a great meal. My spouse is gluten-free and had a slimmer selection of entrees to choose from. The selection of vegetables and sides was small. However the food was very good and we would consider going again and recommending this restaurant to others.
My favorite place to eat! The food is high level quality, and the service matches!
We had another great time for dinner. The food, the service and the welcoming atmosphere makes this a nice place to relax and enjoy.
Michael our server was very helpful. Having us in a banquet room helped with social distancing. The food was delicious. Thank you very much.
Being that the Premier Dining facilities are scarce in the QC, I was hoping for some dishes on the menu that I can not get at other places. I am hoping that in the future there will be some dishes more than Steak, Pork Chop, Salmon, and Chicken. Some Pasta dishes, Stroganoff, comfort foods.
The menu is not very exciting for choices on entrees. Your appetizers are great, there are dishes that you can not get at other restaurants. I am hoping to see your entree list be the same.
You have a great place. I am not knocking it, just want more selection.
Our food was not a big wow for our first visit. We sat outside at around 6-6:30 and it was very uncomfortable with the sun in our eyes. I ended up with multiple fly bites from all the flies on the patio. The service was good to a little better than average.
Disappointing experience for a special occasion. Stomach upset in the night - woke me from sleep - and the management of the restaurant argued with me to the validity of my illness. The meal was expensive and we were sick, likely from the dessert.
The salmon was not at the usual level of excellence, and had an almost sweet taste? The special ‘filet medallions” was served warm at best. Although we have had many Outstanding meals at the Combine, this wasn’t one of them.
Our meal was delicious. We got the duck bacon wontons to start and they did not disappoint. We were so impressed with the level of care every member of their staff took in regards to the current COVID situation. All staff wore gloves and masks and they had tables spaced appropriately. We’re planning to return very soon.
Hostess and wait staff are prompt and courteous. The food is always exceptional. The pomegranate cocktail is excellent. Our favorite fine dining spot.
Excellent food and service! We even received champagne for an anniversary toast. This is are favorite restaurant in the QCA. They never disappoint.
Another wonderful meal. We were happy to see that it was busy. This is a gem in East Moline. Thanks to Robin, Tara and Mark!!
Because we are familiar with this restauranteur, we had high expectations for Combine. Sadly, it is no Bass Street Chop House. Very disappointing.
The food was outstanding, once we received the correct order. The order was entered incorrectly by the waitress, who admittedly made the mistake. It was no big deal for us as we were enjoying drinks and just requested to have both meals brought out together so sent my meal (which was correct) back to the kitchen. The manager had an issue with this and delivered my meal back to our table with an extra plate and told us to share while we waited for my husband's steak to be done. We politely asked him to hold my sandwich in the kitchen so we could eat together as it was our anniversary, but he refused. The waitress saw this happen and felt horrible, but cold not really do anything as it was her manager who did it. We did have to wait an exceptionally long time (almost 45 minutes) for my husband's steak to come after the original snafu, but when it arrived it was amazing!! The food and drinks were great - dessert was amazing! Highly recommend - even with this small issue we encountered we will be returning. Our waitress made sure to make it right and we REALLY appreciated her sincerity in correcting the errors.
This was our first time eating inside the building since they reopened for outside dining. We were greeted promptly and got our seats a few minutes before our reservation time. Sat at a high top in the bar area. Because this is a large rectangular space, there is no physical separation between the bar area and general seating. The noise level was good.
Our server was competent with the right amount of friendliness. Nice to see several staff from the Bass Street steakhouse working here.
We will be back.
The food was served at the right temperature and didn’t take too long. My medium rare boneless ribeye melted in my mouth with a good char and well-marbled. Hubby liked his fish. Both meals were accompanied by asparagus and mine had fingerling potatoes and the fish had a fresh tomato mix. We both had a cup of the bacon-corn potato soup to start. Good flavor.
This night was half-price bottle of wine night so we enjoyed a tasty Rose.
Value for our meals for good but the total cost was over $100. There are less expensive options including flat breads, pastas and salads we have enjoyed before.
We will be back.
Good experience - quiet evening. Mahi Special was good.
Outdoor patio needs some shade! How about some umbrellas or fans?
Food and service are always excellent. We dine here as often as we can.
Went with a group of seven. Service for drinks a little slow at first. After that everything was very smooth and orderly. We all will certainly go back again. Though the menu is somewhat small it has everything you need.
Very friendly staff. Our waiter, Mike, was one of the best waiters we've ever had. The food was very good. It was a little noisy because of the acoustics, or high ceiling.
All in all, it was a pleasant experience.
Disappointing visit. Received email on Halibut Fish Special on Tuesday - not available on Saturday. Service wasn’t engaging like typical visit. Celebrating a birthday and never recognized by Server but was by Hostess when seating us.
Excellent dining experience during COVID-19. Combine had great food, drink and service along with spaced out patio. Menu was diverse with multiple options. Strongly recommend as a destination in Quad Cities area
Great food & friendly, efficient service. Never disappoints!
