Great dinner! Went with a group of 8 and was at a small table which was perfect for conversing with everyone. They were a little late to seat us and comped us a bottle of champagne while we were waiting. Overall, great service and food.
2nd time I’ve been there. It’s so cozy and romantic and the Pave Steak and their potatoes are my favorite. Ooh and the bread pudding....out of this world Seriously salivating just thinking about it. Can’t wait to go back again
The space is great, the food inventive and tasty, the wine list eclectic and good value throughout the price points, and the bar tenders know their stuff!
We had a fantastic Valentine’s date at Colt & Gray! The food was prepared and presented nicely. We ordered the steak to share and had two sides; ratatouille and potatoes. Everything was seriously fantastic. The drinks were also good; well made. The dessert, potted cheesecake, was more like pudding but was still tasty. Overall it was a great way to spend Valentine’s. We will definitely be returning.
First, the waitress was not friendly at all, especially after we told her we didn’t wanna have any alcohol but food and water, her attitude got worse. We ordered some fresh oysters and lamb tartare for appetizers and they were great. But then our entrees were pretty bad, we did not enjoy at all, we tried to finish just to respect and because we had to pay for it anyway . And not to mention the people in the kitchen were yelling the whole time when it’s a quiet & romantic place. Anyway, it might be an enjoyable place for some other people but definitely not for us, we would never come back.
Great food. My boyfriend and I love trying new things, and this menu is great for that. We also really enjoyed the cocktails that we had before dinner. The service was a little slow, it seemed as thou she had every table that was in the side of the dining room as us.
Also your two top tables are too close together. I am a fit, small person, and I would have placed my back side ON the table next to us if I had to get up to use the restroom and there was someone using that other table.
Food was wonderful. I had the bartender special and it was perfect. The service was very accommodating even when we stayed a little after closing.
Food was very good, service was poor. The server didn’t pay attention to our table. She forgot to put in an order and pretended to be knowledgeable about wine. The wine choice was extremely poor but they did take 50% off the bottle. The dessert was the best part. Will probably not go back.
Great time all around. Would highly recommend trying it out!
Music was Wayyyy to loud ! And music was groups like Queen and Aerosmith! NOT appropriate at all. Fish I had was so dry I almost couldn’t eat it. The bar made my cocktail Incorrectly so that had to be sent back and remade. I go to several high-end restaurants all over Denver New York LA Chicago and this is a big disappointment I will not be back to Colt and Gray
Very disappointed in the service. Table was not ready at time of the reservation. 45 minutes after being seated and ordering our drinks did our bottle of wine arrive. Waiter was completely clueless about menu offerings. Charcuterie plate was one of the worst I've ever had (and I've had a lot). Main entrees were just okay. Don't waste your time or money.
We had an early dinner on Saturday, 1/27. Everything was excellent. Only small issue was our server forgot our oysters (which he was very cool about and apologized and got them out quickly) and our entrees came out right on top of them which was slightly disappointing. Loved the food, beverages, service and ambiance. We will return next time we are in Denver.
My dads 60th. Nice night out
This has become a local favorite for us. We highly recommend it. Ask for a tour of the charcuterie area. It's facinating!
Never had a disappointing experience here.
