About Colorado Mountain Brewery at the Roundhouse
Colorado Mountain Brewery is a restaurant and brewery located in Colorado Springs. First, this is a place that is serious about its beer. There is a constantly rotating group of beer being brewed, depending on the season. The flagship ales though, are always available on draft. These include the Panther IPA, Uniubraü Hefeweissen, Monumental Stout and Roller Coaster Red
The food menu is classic bar food, just kicked up a notch. Appetizers include the bison poppers, jalapeños stuffed with cream cheese and ground buffalo, wrapped in a thin pastry and dipped in amber ale batter and flash fried. Another fusion items that takes the best of different cultures is the venison eggrolls, which are eggrolls filled with venison, sweet potato, cheddar cheese, peppers, onions and black beans with a blueberry BBQ dipping sauce. Beyond these diners will find a variety of sandwiches, pizzas, burgers and more.

Colorado Mountain Brewery at the Roundhouse Ratings and Reviews
Service was great and the tables were clean and our reserved seat was ready for us. Overall the experience was great only thing that could be improved was their pulled pork sandwich BUT only because I'm a foodie from Texas. Add pickles on the side or add a little more salt to the pulled pork and it'd be like home.( after adding pickles it was perfection )Beer selection was awesome too! The mountain stout is a must try for any enthusiast.
Our experience was rather poor. For starters, I have no idea what our server's name was - we were greeted by Matt and then handed off to another guy who was unusually short with us, saying "got it" and "yeah" to our requests as if we were a couple of bros crackin' Coors Light on a couch in a fraternity house. Our beers didn't come out with any urgency and I watched the Manager on Duty try to deliver our beers to two other tables before taking them back to the bar, just for them to come to us with no head. Our appetizer came out rather quickly with our entrees out almost as fast, so I feel like we wasted half of our Duck Poutine. My New York Strip was bland (could have been seasoned better) and my char-grilled Brussels sprouts had no flavor. I would have brought this up to my server but he disappeared on us for about ten-to-fifteen minutes. I probably would have even asked for the MOD but she, along with the entire service staff, seemed completely overwhelmed as if everything was a crisis. I was really excited to make a reservation for a new-to-me brewery in such a beautiful location for our trip to Colorado Springs from Denver, but the food was so uninspiring that we went to Phantom Canyon and spent more on dessert & drinks than we did for dinner at the Roundhouse. In trying to find contact information for the brewery, I discovered that they're seeking an Executive Chef and an Assistant Bar Manager, which doesn't surprise me at all. I probably will not come back or recommend this place to my industry friends.
Good beer and fun place to eat. Definitely make reservations if you ever want to eat. Crazy busy on weekends and during the summer time. Pretty loud place, so not for folks who can't deal with that sort of environment. Food is good, albeit a little pricey. Don't be in a hurry if you are there on a weekend. Enjoy the beer and the folks you are dining with. Meals can take upwards of 30-45 minutes to be served. Still, we like going there and will continue to.
We were two ladies who had not seen each other for a while and just wanted a light lunch, and time to visit. Our waitress was attentive but once she realized we were really there to visit, she just kept our water glasses filled and left us to talk after we had finished our lunches.
We were created and seated right away with a smile. The wait staff was fantastic -- everything we needed from extra sauce to utensils to water can quickly and with a smile. The food came out hot and delicious as well. The only downside is that it gets crowded (good thing we made the reservation) and because of that is was loud. It was difficult to hear yourself think. There were four of us who haven't been together in a while so we had a lot to talk about. It got to the point where we were almost yelling to hear each other. Not much the restaurant can do about it. It is in old railroad roundhouse which is very open.
Husband and I went for Mothers Day. Even though we arrived 30 minutes early for our reservation we got seated immediately. Atmosphere was busy and fun not too noisy or frenetic. Our server Randy was amazing. Prompt attentive answered all questions and offered suggestions. Food served timely was mediocre, burger over cooked and a bit dry and boring. Advertised as spicy but was not. Husband liked his fish which was light flaky and a generous portion. Beers were very tasty as well. Bread pudding dessert was very good adequate portion and lots of flavor. Will give another try no doubt but will definitely chose an off hour and hope the kitchen is having a better day.
I have been to this restaurant 3 other times and this visit was very disappointing. The appetizers came out late and then they brought our main meal soon after. We told them before hand to please make sure to not bring our food out the same time as the appetizers. They said oh of course not . So then we asked them to take our main meals back since we were not ready. The manager assured us that the food would be remade . It was not remade . The bread and French fries were cold. Also one of the sandwiches had burnt rye bread. They comped the appetizers. But we were so looking forward to sharing this restaurant with our out of town family. The construction on the roads to the restaurant is terrible. We made reservations about a month ahead of time. i noticed they had a large staff in the kitchen but they lacked the quality of the food that this restaurant use to have 😕
Food mediocre. Service below average (waitress actually rolled her eyes at us). Ambiance was nice, smoky smell enticed me into the prime rib, but the cut was poor. Overall, I would recommend spending your time and money elsewhere. Manitou Springs is just a short trip up the road, many better options there.
