Inspired by the diversity of Colombo and England, Colombo 16 brings the essence of modern Sri Lanka to Marine Court, the historic Grade II-listed Art Deco building on the shores of St Leonards-On-Sea. By day we offer fusion lunch with some traditional Sri Lankan options, by night contemporary curries, short eats and desserts intended for sharing. Our dishes are based on family recipes, modernised with an ingredient-led approach sourcing locally and importing weekly from Sri Lanka.

Due to serious maintenance issues & extensive work being carried out, our branch at St Leonard's is temporarily closed.

For the interim we are at Cake Room, 30 Robertson Street, Hastings on Friday and Saturday evenings from 6:30pm - 10:30/11pm.

Friendly and helpful staff, food delicious and good value. All freshly prepared and cooked. Catered for dietary challenges. Will be returning.

The food was imaginative, original and delicious. Service good but slightly detached and managerial. Location was in temporary premises but worked very well. Given the high standard of the offer the price was very reasonable.

We went to Colombo 16 on Friday night, thankfully they called after we booked to let us know they are temporarily in the cake room on Robertson Street while there are some works on their normal space. The cocktails and delicious, I was particularly impressed with the white negroni and the coconut old fashioned was also a winner. The food is all incredibly delicious we easily found plenty of options for everyone's dietary requirements. The aubergine is incredible, we ordered a second portion! The king oyster mushrooms were also a delight - hot, sour and so light and crispy.

I always have a great experience at Columbo 16 and loved the pop up in Hastings while the main restaurant is under maintenance. The food was stunning & the service as ever is friendly and attentive oh and the coconut rum daquari was delicious !! - such a treat, thank you and looking forward to my next visit

Another fantastic meal at Colombo. The food was delicious as usual, particularly the mushroom dish. We love the fact that you can ask for the heat to be spiced up as we like our food hot. Great temporary location too. We'll be back of course.

Food was amazing. One of the most flavourful meals out we’ve had in a long while. They were open as a pop up in the Cake Room and even though they were outside of their usual home, they didn’t disappoint. Can’t wait to go back!
