My wife and I went to Colletta twice and both times left disappointed. First visit food took forever to come out and when it did it was cold we were both hungry and just coughed it up to then being busy. We then came back a second time to see if it would get better food came out quicker this time but once again food was cold.
We went for lunch after visiting santa. We had great service, accommodated the kids easily. The food was so good the six year old ate an entire kids pasta and half the lunch size pizza! And our 9 year old had the Salmon, which was also fantastic.
We had a great experience at Colletta after visiting Santa. The food and service was outstanding. My husband and I split the farfalle with black truffle pasta and the veal chop. We loved the rich flavor of the sauce and the creamy cheese in the pasta. The veal chop was a fall preparation and had a wonderful grill flavor and was perfectly tender.
Service was great and chef’s tasting was a great choice.
Great setting, food and service for a business lunch, look forward to returning soon.
Another delicious meal. The food never disappoints and our server was fantastic. Very personable and attentive.
My little boy and I came in for the first time and had a wonderful experience- the food was delicious (I especially appreciate the gluten free options), the service was great and the manager came by several times to check on us and compliment my son on his manners (which made my son’s day!). We enjoyed every minute and I look forward to coming back again.
We haven’t been to Colletta in a year because we don’t live in the area. The new menu was excellent and we really enjoyed their take on burrata. Our ravioli and black truffle agnolotti entrees were exceptional!
We arrived 1/2 hour early and were seated with no problem. The service is wonderful and for a restaurant that makes everything fresh, there was hardly a waiting time.
The food was so excellent - everything was so delicious. We had chicken parm and we have had it a million times but not like this. No marinara sauce - the pasta is freshly made and it was covered in a wonderful cheese sause - the chicken was cooked to perfection. Scallops were order and they were fabulous Risotto was perfect. We are definitely going back there.
I hardly ever write a review but I want everyone to know that this is a top notch restaurant that you will really enjoy. To make it even better, we felt that the prices were excellent for the quality of the food, the ambience and the service.
Bravo to Colletta - the chef and the staff
Genius! Food is beyond amazing but the true value is in the service. Rich King is beyond knowledgeable. Ask for him!
The menu has changed- do not like some of the new ingredients- the revised mushroom pizza is disappointing
This place used to have the best menu and service. Always a favorite until they took their original hanger steak off the menu, which 3 out of 5 of us always ordered. After seeing that they put it back on we went back. Sadly the recipe changed along with its sides. And after asking if we could substitute the sides the waitress was kinda short with us, like we were imposing. She left to go ask the chef for approval on every single request we had (at least twice) and the chef was only willing to accommodate us slightly. Most restaurants would let you substitute sides. Just weird if it’s made fresh. And if you’re a vegan don’t go here! They no longer accommodate. The only item on the menu was a small salad that they’d willingly take off the cheese (of course no discount for that!). BUT... loved the wine selection and my husband said the pizza was amazing.
We have been here many times and loved it. We were disappointed to say the least. My brother loves your short ribs but it looked like they “slopped,” in a bowl with some polenta. It was smaller in portion vs before and fatty. He did not complain as we were with my parents.
My dad and I had the lasagna and it’s usually my favorite, not this night. It just looked like it had been rewarded and not the fresh piping hot, as before.
I don’t know if it was a bad night as it wasn’t crowded. The server was outstanding. We hope this was a one time issue but by the way all of our food was looks like less food for same or more money.
Music too loud, food overpriced, and server disappeared once he got his tip.
Thanksgiving Eve dinner with a family of 7. Great food, even better service. Couldn’t ask for a better experience!
We have dined with Colletta several times and this was the first time that we were not wowed by the food. Items were forgotten for our table and my food came out Luke warm.
Always a pleasant experience. The wait staff is very attentive to the details. The plate presentation is very nice and the chef does a great job at preparing the dish.
My food was good with the other guests having mixed reviews. Lasagna looked to be a deconstructed lasagna though not sure that was the intent. My pizza was great, another not. Food definitely was inconsistent. Wait staff was a bit pushy initially and we felt rushed as a result. She calmed a bit, but it did leave a slightly bitter taste. I’m not sure I’d rush back.
It’s a beautiful restaurant and a perfect place to go before the tree lighting. They have changed their menu, however, and we didn’t like the new items that we tried. They took old favorites off the menu so we’re hoping they will bring them back!
Not accommodating for dietary restrictions
I have been to Colletta many times and always had excellent entrees. I had one of my favorites the farfalle. In the past it has been outstanding. Wednesday night it was cold and there was no visible signs lump crab. I am assuming because it was so busy that night that the servers and cooks were stretched thin.
Service was excellent! All of us enjoyed our food - 2 chicken dishes and 2 pizza's with olives as appetizer. Salad with chicken was a little late getting to table but was delivered by manager and she assured that it would be comped. We felt welcome. Was a special birthday celebration so the cheesecake dessert which was selected was really good. It was a very nice night at Colletta's.
Our first time and definitely not the last! We did the "Chef's choice" for our part of four. It's typically $50/person that consist of three "courses". We went on a Sunday and the same special is $35/person on Sundays. For the exact same offer.
I say three "courses" because we got much more food than we expected. Everything below was split between our party of 4.
For this option you leave your meal up to the chef and they bring you food out based on his preferences for you.
For the first course we were given 4 full appetizers. Including meatballs, a bread and topping dish with Buffalo Mozz, a salad and another app I didn't try.
For the second course we were given a full pizza, a fish dish and two pasta dishes.
And for the final course we were given three desserts.
All in all. We EASILY saved $20-30 per person given the amount of food we were given. More than enough food and a great sampler of their menu. Everything was fantastic except the traditional ice cream with olive oil. Not my taste. My brother lives it though.
With lattes and a drink for my wife. We paid $96 pre tip. Easily had $125-150 worth of food and drink all in just for the two of us.
Great staff. Very friendly and customer focused. Food and ambiance both stellar.
The food was very good and our server, Christy was exceptional!
The most wonderful place I can think of. Food and customer service is amazing. We love to go there. Last time, we had dinner there and then invited friends to join us later for drinks at the Colletta bar. This is a fabulous restaurant.
Food was good. Server was outstanding
Menu is limited...wish they had a few more selections.
we love the restaurant but was crushed to discover the Duck Breast entree had disappeared from the menu and replaced by a mediocre Veal Chop !! Bring back the duck !!
The best meatballs anywhere and n the happy hour menu! The lemon drop - yum! and ask for honey with the calbrese pizza.
Very disappointed. Proscuitto de parma, our favorite appetizer, has changed for the worse. Breads came out flat and hard...like they were sitting for a long time. no longer served on a cutting board. pasta dishes were very ordinary and not flavorful. manager seemed indifferent to our concerns. gave us free desserts, which were good, but there are too many good restaurants near by to put up with this. Colletta, I feel, always was expensive for what you get, but at least it used to be really good. Now, it's really expensive and NOT really good.
If I could rate 5 stars for each of the menu items I had and my husband had... OMG. Food is conversation pausing. They don’t rush you either which is very authentic Italian dining. All the staff is always kind and educated about all the dishes. Love to come here for special occasions and date nights. It’s expensive but it’s food you’ll remember and look forward to. The chef(s) are brilliant.
Our service was fantastic and the drinks were great! Our food portions were very small, and the appetizer with the meat and cheese and honeycomb was much smaller than in prior dining experiences.
Love this restaurant but they will a little off Friday night. Food came out slow and wasn’t hot.
Colletta’s never disappoints, one of our favorite restaurants or any occasion.
Rich was amazing! The food and service were excellent.
STEVEN, THE BARTENDER WAS GREAT! HE WAS ACCOMMODATING AND FRIENDLY!
Best wait service experience we’ve had in a long time.
It was so loud the four of us could not have a conversation. 1 out of four of us enjoyed our meal. We won’t be returning.
